Behind the Scenes

Indie's POV

He hung out with 4 other boys, Harry, Liam, Niall and Zayn. Secretly I had a thing for Zayn but the girls did not know that and they never will. I hope. His friends only stopped her and me because they're different, they weren't like all the other guys in our year or the year above. They weren't really ones to be on the football team or the rugby team, although Harry was on the volleyball team, probably because of his height or maybe just because he was good at it! Anyway our team always won with him.

We all had a different class after Science with Mr. Wilkinson until break, when we got hang out again, well I only have half a break. At the end of the class Mr. Wilkinson pulled me behind and said 'India, you have been very good and respected my decision earlier then you were well behaved in class, normally the rest would sit and talk and mess about you know how it is. But I was well pleased and impressed my the level of maturity, therefore you can go without doing detention, You don't need to come here at break.' Are you serious? That's all I could think of, 'Really? Thank you Sir! I appreciate it loads!' I quickly walked out and of to class

*Break Time*

I walked into the bays alone(they were only for seniors). The girls knew I had detention and didn't know I got out of it, so of course non of them was there at the end of maths waiting for me. Since they didn't know I was out I wanted to scare them and of course they had their backs sitting on the benches across the room from the over sized grey doors. As they were talking away to the rest of our friends, I signalled a 'shh' sign and walked towards them. 'How about you ladies slip on outside to the principals office, I've seen what you three have been up to and Ms. Dowel is not happy!' I said softly but sharply in my best Scottish accent. You see our Vice principal was Scottish and I could do a very brilliant impression if I do say so myself! You would honestly think they would be used to hearing my impression and the actual Vice, but no. They really should have known better to, they knew she wasn't on duty! But luckily they fell for it. Of course your meant to wait at least 3 minutes before you go to the principal, it was just manners to let the principal get ready for who ever was coming. I then quickly stood up straight and sat down beside the girls trying my hardest not to burst out with laughter. They all looked shaken up, 'what did we do wrong?' Lily said mumbling, 'I don't know? What if my mum finds out she'll kill me!' Jemma said quietly then gradually getting louder. 'What happened before I came in?' I asked trying not to explode into one of my giggle fits. 'Did you not see Mrs Hann walk out?' Maggie said like she saw a ghost. 'Well yeah, but I thought she was speaking to those spoons over there' I said pointing to 'the populars' or what I liked to call them 'the spoons'. 'No, she was talking to us three, we better go to her I suppose' Maggie looked as if she was about to cry. They all got up and headed towards the double doors, just as they walked out I called, 'Wait, it was me!' they turned around looking confused.

Maggie's POV

We all turned around together and saw Indie clutching her stomach, crying with tears of laughter. Then it hit me.'That was you wasn't it?' I said quickly running over to her, 'Maybe. .'she said after she got rid of her giggles. I swear that girl takes at least 10 giggle fits a day! No wonder she's so small! Indie in my eyes was a tall, thin and beautiful with the brightest blue eyes.

She had long brown wavy/curly hair, she had the most amazing laugh, we all did. She was the life of the party, she was our prankster. Our own ball of fun, I think we all agreed that she was what you would say our leader. She just took charge even though she didn't realise, we didn't mind her being the leader. If any of the girls was the leader, I don't think we would be as upfront and ourselves as we are with her. Really she was just the bestest friend a girl could ask for, she made herself known and made people older and younger feel like it was a casual thing to say 'hi' and start a conversation with. I really think everyone loves her, only because of her personality but she doesn't see it that way. She just thinks it's normal for people to do that, but it's really not!

Indie's POV

As soon as the bell went for 3rd period we got up and grabbed our bags ready to leave then, 'Everybody sit down please' Mrs Hann said gently but loud enough for everyone to hear. 'As most of you know, Mrs Bow and Mr Dilly are organising a pantomime for when you return to school next term' I looked at the rest of the girls, they all seemed to be in shock like we never done a pantomime before, then I looked at Maggie she had the biggest grin on her face. Of course me and her knew exactly what one we were putting on what roles their was. You see Maggie and I could sing out of our wee group but the whole group thought I was better. I of course didn't believe them but took it as it was and always thanked them. Anyway Mrs Bow loved us, she literally said to Maggie's older sister that she wanted to adopt us! We weren't shocked and we happy to let her if anything happened and we had no where to go. Mrs Bow had told us weeks ago what was happening but we weren't aloud to tell anyone about it, so we didn't we just kept it to ourselves. Which was fine with us we both knew if Jemma or Lily found out they'd blurt it around the school and get us in trouble. As we were both smiling madly at each other suddenly we snapped out when we heard, 'Auditions will be held for the rest of the day and this is the only day to audition!' Now that we were shocked at, only one day to audition! And that day was today! 'Lower 6th girls you will be auditioning first, period 3, upper 6th boys, period 4. After lunch we will have Upper 6th girls period 5 and lower 6th boys last period.' As I am sure you guessed yeah we only have 6 classes a day! How great right? We were so lucky we got to go first and impress the two teachers!

*Period 3*

'Miss?' I asked, 'yes girls?' Mrs Slating said as if we were annoying her. 'could we get out of class to go to the auditions?' She had the most boring look on her face as she said, 'fine, go on ahead' Maggie and I quickly turned and went down to the music room where the auditions where being held. Surprisingly their was only Maggie, Margaret, Cathy and me. None of the spoons came, they must think there 'too cool' to audition and have fun. Awh well more of a chance I would get a part then!

'Girls! Is this it? Only the 4 of you want to audition from your year? That is just shocking! Your year is full of talent. Well at least I have my two brightest stars here! Isn't that right Mr. Dilly?'Mrs Bow seemed shocked when she saw the 4 of us. I wasn't. 'Of course if only we could take them home and keep them!' Mr Dilly said with sarcasm. Did I mention that he wants us too? All the teachers pretty much loved us and our outward personalities. Honestly the school would be quiet without us! All we had to do was read from the script of couple of roles, each doing the same part as everyone else. After that we had to learn a short dance, I knew it was going to be easy only because I loved to dance! All four of us learned the dance together then danced it, after she watched us, Mrs Bow wanted me and Maggie to dance it together. Almost as if she was comparing us to each other. When we were finished the dancing we had to sing alone. Everyone went outside in to the hall as one by one went in and sang Happy Birthday to Mr. Dilly as it was his birthday. I was the 3rd one to go, when I walked in she mumbled something to Mr. Dilly sounding almost like, 'Now she is a brilliant singer.' I couldn't help but smile at her then I sang. I walked out then sent Cathy in when she was finished we were all called back in, 'Well done girls! That was an excellent audition and I hope the rest of 6th form be as good as you!' Mrs Bow thanked us, then sent us to our period 4 class. Just as we were walking down the long corridor none else than Zayn, Louis, Harry, Liam and Niall. I was shocked that they were going to audition I didn't think it was their thing. As we walked by Zayn grabbed me by the arm and asked,'what exactly do you have to do Indie?' He didn't take a tight grip on me like I thought he would have, just by seeing his huge muscles. 'Not much,' I said, not even nervous to talk to him, to me he was just a regular guy but not to everyone else.'yeah I gathered that but what exactly?' he said in the most relaxing tone. 'Well we had to read from the script, oh and you probably will have to read the princess part em', ' I think you should read the princess and I should read the prince' he said cutting me off. Wait did he just flirt with me? I had to act cool, 'awh how cute in your dreams maybe but not here,' he looked at me raising his eyebrows and smiling. He was about to say something before I cut him off,'We also had to dance and sing, I have to get to class now, later' I said before walking off with my group of friends before turning around and winking. When I turned around all I could see was Zayn getting high fives and fist pumps from the rest of the guys, I guess they were pleased with our conversation. I don't know why though.

Zayn's POV

As Indie walked off all I could do was stare at her beauty, it was so different than when I talked to all the other girls. She was different, I liked it and I was intrigued by her. Next thing I knew the guys were jumping around me, giving me high fives, fist pumping going on between them all I could do was smile, but them I only noticed one thing and everything was cleared out as if it was just me and her in the hall. She turned and smiled at me then winked, I guess she was happy I stopped her and non of her friends. I have to say I think that was our first conversation, even though it wasn't much of a conversation. I know I'll remember it always!
