The key To Destiny

Alex's POV
I walked over the small bridge, searching. Keith said she'd be here! My pace became faster and faster and I broke into a sprint. Then I saw her. Sitting under one of those blossom trees by the wall. Unlike Keith and the rest of the family, she loved surrounding herself in nature. That is one of many reasons why I love her. To my surprise I realized she wasn't holding a book. She was sitting holding her phone, grinning. Wait, she had a phone? I did not know that!I ran up to her.

"Hey" I said, casually, sticking my hands in my pockets. She looked up, her determined, sky blue eyes meeting my own.

"Oh hi!" She lowered her phone, smiling warmly. The smile that melted my heart each time. I then realized I was just standing there, like a fool, staring at her.

"Uh, so how are you?" God I'm so lame! Her smile became wider.

"I'm great, thank you!" she nodded.

"That's great" I could have kicked myself. I'm soooooooo stupid! I pushed my glasses up my nose and she giggled.

"What's so funny?" I frowned.

"It's just the way you did that! It just looked..." She trailed off, looking at the ground, blushing.

"Smart?" I offered. She looked up again and nodded. "In a cute way" She added. My heart fluttered. Me? Cute? Oh My God!

"May I?" I sat down beside her. She began playing with her hands.

"Sam I want to tell you something-"

"Hey Sam!" A voice called. A horse and rider came trotting towards us. Her face lit up at the sight of him. She jogged over and then slowed down, looking at the magnificent grey horse he sat astride. Slowly, she reached out a hand and stroked the horse's glossy neck. The boy grinned and reached down. For a sickening moment I thought they were going to kiss, but to my relief he just hugged her. I sighed.

"Oooh James, this is Alex" She introduced me. "Alex this is James, my cousin"

I can't wait! It's only 20 days before I go to see 1D in Croke Park in Dublin! YAY!!!!!!! I am sooooooo excited! :)
