The key To Destiny

I stood, the guitar strap around my shoulder, staring at the microphone. I had never played a electric guitar before but I decided I should just play it like I would an ordinary one.

"You nervous?" Alex asked, smiling. I raised an eyebrow and laughed.

"Me? Nervous? Never!" I rolled my eyes.

"You know no one is going to be watching, right?" he said.

"Except my Granny" I pointed to a woman sitting in the dark corner, knitting.
He put a hand to his heart.

"I didn't see her there!" he hissed, laughing slightly. I joined in, and soon we were in stitches.

"Hey you two! Are you finished clown acting over there?" Jacob looked at us. We gulped and I turned back to the microphone. Keith nodded, a sign to say we can start. I strummed my guitar and felt the electricity flow through me. I was ready.


"OMG SAAAAAAM!" One of my best friends in the world, Jasmine Williams, screamed down the phone.

"You're in a band now! That's soooooo cool!" she gushed.

"You should join it" I said suddenly.

"You're joking!" she gasped.

"No, I'm not" I shook my head, then realising she couldn't see me.

"Okay I will" she agreed, her voice shaking with excitment.

"Well I'll see you tomorrow" I said.

"Okay, bye!" she cried before hanging up.



"Hey, Keith? We've got a new member" I called.
