The clock hands seem to move too slow for my liking. My teacher is droning on and on about god-knows-what. I doodle a sun in my notebook and give him a wide smile and sunglasses. I just finish with his new freckles when I get a tap on my shoulder and a note lands in my lap. It says:

I cannot believe how much Mr. M can talk. Really, it’s unbelieveable.

It is written in the familiar handwriting of a familiar curly-haired boy. I scribble a quick note back to Harry and slip the paper to him when Mr. M isn’t looking. It reads:

Tell me about it. What is he talking about now? I lost track awhile ago.

I hear Harry snicker and I am sure that he was shaking his head.

“Mr. Styles, is there a problem I can help you with?” Mr. M asked Harry.

“No.” I can tell that Harry was fighting a smile. I could hear it in his voice, I knew him that well.

“Okay, then, no more interruptions.”

Before Mr. M can continue, the bell finally decided to ring. It is the last period of the day.

Everyone floods out into the hallway to their lockers. I breathe out and follow the crowd, with Harry’s hand on the small of my back. He leads me to my locker and waits patiently like he always does every day for me to get my things and put them into my bag. No, we’re not dating. We’re best friends. I have a crush on a percussionist named Justin and he is in the school band with me.

“So, how were your other classes without me?” Harry asked in the accent that I was accustomed to.

“Very boring.” I answered. He gave me an award-winning smirk.

“Question-”he asked.

“What?” I said.

“Have you seen Erin around? I kind of wanted to...talk to her.”

I laughed and handed him one of my books to hold for a minute. He obliged and took it without breaking his questioning gaze. I sighed. “No, I did not see her yet, but if I see her before or after my drama practice, I’ll give you a text, okay?” I took the book from his hands and stuffed it into my bag once my hands were free.

He smiled. “Yay.”

I rolled my eyes at him. “No promises.”

Before he could object, we heard a voice.

“Hey!”

My drama buddy Leah, came bounding to me, with all of her energy radiating off of her body.

“Hay is for horses.” Harry solemnly said, looking seriously at her.

Ignoring him, Leah came over, leaned on my arm and closed her eyes. “Ready for drama, drama buddy?”

“Definitely.” Harry watched us curiously as we leaned on one another.

Soon, Louis came over too.

“Hey Harry!” He exclaimed.

“Hay is for horses.” Harry tried again. I laughed.

“Look at these lovely gals! All ready for drama. Can’t wait to do that scene today.” Louis said, chiper as usual.

We, Leah and I, knew what Louis was talking about. It was a hilarious scene that Louis did that left us all in pieces on the floor. It was a little bit different each time, and always a little bit funnier. I checked the clock on the hallway wall.

“Oh, no! We’re going to be late if we don’t hurry up!”

Louis linked one arm in Leah’s and the other arm in mine.

“Bye Hazza!” Louis said.

“Bye Harry! I’ll try to text you later!” I winked.

Harry smiled and said, “Bye!”

Leah said goodbye too. To Harry, I mouth the words, no promises, and Harry laughed, before Leah, Louis and I skipped off to drama.

Notes

i thought i'd try my hand at writing a fanfic with all the boys. Sorry if it gets confusing sometimes, you have to make sure you know who's point of view it is before you read on, because i switch them up every chapter. Next point of view is.........Niall Horan! Oh, and sorry in advance if you think the chapters are really short. Comments are nice, so please comment!
