Back For You

"Harry, let's go. It's almost half 12" I said as I stood at the front door of Anne's house. Today myself and Harry were going into town to look for last minute christmas presents given that Christmas was 5 days away and neither of us were done shopping.

"Coming, give me a second" I heard him call from upstairs.

"Rylynn, come in here a minute" Anne said, poking her head from inside the kitchen.

"Anne, I'm scared If I come in there I won't be able to leave," I smiled walking into the kitchen anyway. Anne was doing her holiday baking. She would spend every year, baking up a storm for 2 whole days before insisting that Harry and Gemma- and sometimes myself, deliver packages of baked goods to all our friends. It was one of the things I missed every year during my stay in Australia.

"Try this," she said handing me a green coloured cookie, "It's a new recipe," She said as she placed a tray of sugar cookies in the oven.

"It's really good, I like it a lot" I said loosening my scarf from around my neck "Oh my God, Harry" I called up, rolling my eyes at Anne "I'm going to kill your son"

"What's he doing" Anne said,

"I'm right here Mum," Harry said walking into the kitchen, as he grabbed a green cookie from the counter. "Really, good" He said as he shoved the entire thing into his mouth. He was all bundled up, dressed in all black. Making him look much older than he already was.

"Hi Darling" Anne said as Laura entered the room behind Harry.

"Hi Anne, Hi Rylynn" She said smiling, as she walked over to the small island in the middle of the kitchen.

"Hey Laura," I smiled, "Haz, you ready?" I asked as I slipped on my mittens.

"Let's go" He said slipping into his black winter coat. "Bye mum" He said kissing his mum's cheek, "Bye Laur" He said as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

I turned around, not wanting to see the embrace before me as I made my way through the door and outside to his Range Rover.

"Do you like it?" Harry asked as we looked at the diamond ring resting in the velvet cloth.

"It's beautiful" I said speechless, as I held the diamond between my fingers.

"You think she'll like it?" He asked, his cheeks pink from the cold.

"Haz, I mean she did pick it right? She'll love it" I said as I placed it on the velvet cloth.

"I know, but I don't know if she'll like what I added on the inside of the band. I engraved it…I mean maybe I should've waited. Should I get another one, just in case she doesn't I don't"

"Harry, would you relax. She would be stupid not to like it" I said as I pulled my itchy scarf. I walked around looking at the shinning jewellery starring up at me.

"See anything you like? I might be able to see what I can do about the price" Sal, the owner said as he shinned the ring between his fingers.

"Thanks Sal, but I'm not really looking for anything in particular" I said as a pair of diamond earrings caught my.

"You looking at these beauties aren't you?" Sal said as he opened the glass door to take it out.

"They're beautiful," I stared down at the diamonds resting on the counter. "I love them"

"So I'll probably be back with Laura so she can try on the ring, and make any last minute decisions before the wedding" Harry said as he walked over to Sal and myself as I continued to admire the diamonds

"Sure thing, Harry. When's the wedding?"

"In July,"

"Miss, would you like to try it on?" Sal and Harry turned their attention to me.

"Oh…no, no it's okay," I said, looking to Harry "We better go, we're meeting your Mum and Robin in 20 minutes" I said as I made my way out the door, the cold breeze hitting me.

"Ry, you okay?" Harry spoke as he walked up behind me,

"Yeah, can we just go find your Mum" I said as I continued to walk faster.

"Ry, what the hell is going on?" Harry sad spinning be around.

"Nothing, okay? I'm fine, let's just go" I said as she wrapped my arms around my body and made my way towards the centre of town.

"Ry, Harry. Over here!" I saw Anne waving her hand to catch our attention. She was sitting in the corner of the crowded restaurant.

"Hi Anne," I smiled at her as she sat back down next to Robin inside the booth.

"Hi Mum" Harry said as he slid in next to me.

"How was your shopping?" Anne said smiling brightly at me,

"Fine, I'm not done yet. I haven't bought a single thing today" I said looking down at my hands.

"2 hot chocolates with cinnamon," the waitress interrupted.

"Yes, for those two" Anne said pointing at myself and Harry, before meeting my eyes with a concerned look.

I'M HONESTLY SO SO SO SORRY for the lack of updates ! I was so busy with my internship and work. I promise I'll be on way more often tho :D

I'll be in the US for the next week (Washington), so woohoo ! I'm going to try and get more writing done :D

PLEASE NOTE ! - this a filler chapter, I actually chopped the shatter in half cause it was getting too long. SOOOO that being said I'll try and update on Sunday again (I think I owe you that much)
