Surviving

Days have past, who knows how many, 3, 4, 5. No ones counting. Melissa was the first person I've seen dead before a funeral. And what's worse is that I'm the one who had cut her open. We're down to nine people.

Violet and I have become closer. She's like a best friend to me. Paige is like a sister, Alexis is like a younger cousin.

We all sat in our camp circle, singing to ourselves. I could hear one person singing louder than everyone else. Violet.

"I got a lot to say to you, yea I got alot to say, I noticed your eyes are always glued to me, keeping them here and it makes no sense at all." she sang. I know that song. Crushcrushcrush by Paramore.

I joined in, "They taped over your mouth," she stopped when she heard me singing with her. "Scribbled out the truth, with their lies, your little spies. They taped over your mouth, scribbled out the truth with their lies, your little spies."

Then it came to the chorus, we whispered, "Crush, crush, crush, crush,crush," then we got louder, "2 3 4! Nothing compares to the quiet evening alone, just the one two of us is counting on, that never happened. I guess I'm dreaming again, lets be more than... This."

We finished the chorus and an applause abrupted around us. For a minute I forgot we had surrounding people. I looked at my new family for the time being.

Louis and Liam sat next to each other, Liam had his arm around Violet, which I realize I stared at while singing.

Harry sat on the other side of Louis, his arm around Alexis, who had her red haired head on Harry's shoulder.

I looked at Paige and Niall who were closer to me. Paige sat in Niall's lap, Niall stroking her gorgeous blonde hair. Awww.

Zayn sat next to me, staring at me in awe.

Is it sad to say I'm still in love with that man? I won't admit to it. He doesn't love me, he only said that that night so Melissa would shut her mouth. I'm not admitting to loving him to his face, even though I admitted it to myself.

"Toni, did you say something?" Zayn asked as everyone started settling down for sleep.

"What?... Uh... no..." I stuttered. I hoped I wasn't talking out loud about him. I felt my face getting red and I was stuttering too? See what he does to me?!

"Okay," he shifted and turned his back to me, and I turned my back to him. He layed next to the log was sat on, facing it, while I layed on the other side of him, facing the fire. The fire was a safe distance from everyone so everyone was capable of going to sleep without burning to death.
I woke up, a heavy object around my waist. I turned and saw Zayn with his arm around my waist, as if we were spooning.

I wasn't sure how to respond to that. I lifted his arm off of me, quickly stood, and jogged into the jungle.

I walked past many trees, thinking to myself. Will we ever get off this island? Will I ever find love? Will I ever see my house again? Will I get married, have children, lose my virginity? I thought for what seemed like hours, but it was only minutes.

I walked past a nice lake and decided to take a swim. I stripped down until I was completely naked.

I slowly placed my foot into the small lake, then the other, then lowered myself into the water. I sat in it swimming around for a little bit of time.

I swam back over to the edge and layed my head on the damp grass, the rest of my body underwater. I rested my arms on the grass also.

I relaxed and thought to myself more. Maybe Zayn isn't the one. Maybe it's someone else, maybe. I'm not looking for my soul mate, just someone that loves me for me, and will always be there. Someone who maybe would be ready for commitment.

I was really into deep thought mode, because when I opened my eyes, I hadn't even realized someone else had joined me in the brown watered lake. Louis.

"Ahh!" I screamed but then quickly regained myself and quieted by covering my mouth with my hand. He laughed.

"What? I was out here when I saw you sitting here, so I joined you. Don't worry, I didn't see you stripping." he explained.

I sighed in relief, "I didn't see you either."

"I know, you were too deep in thought." he swam next to me and got into the position I was in, which was just me, sitting in the low tide, the water going up to my neck. The water went up to right above his chest. I turned to him.

"Do you think Zayn still loves me? After all these years? Or is it over for us, forever...?" I questioned. He looked at me.

"Love, I'm pretty sure he in love with you, but I'm positive there's someone else out there that will be the one. He could be anywhere. Paris, Florida, England, hell, he could even be one of the other guys on the island. Liam, Niall, Harry. Or maybe it's Zayn." he comforted me.

"Thank you, Louis, you always know what to say." I smiled.

I swam closer to him and hugged him, which was extremely awkward, because we were naked and my breasts came out of the water. I kissed him on the cheek and pulled back. He looked into my green eyes as I looked into his. He began to lean in, as did I. Our lips touched and I felt something I've never felt before. Happiness, my heart raced, I felt like I couldn't breathe. Maybe that was because we were kissing for so long. It felt like hours, but it was only about 10 seconds. That's the power I felt.

We pulled apart, still embracing each other in a hug. I didn't want to let go. But sadly, all things must come to an end.

"We should get back," I said as we pulled apart awkwardly, "Where's your clothes?"

"Over there behind the rock." he pointed in the opposite direction of my clothes.

"Okay, turn around, and on the count of three, jump out, run behind the rock, get dressed, and wait for me to finish over here."

"Okay," we both turned. "1, 2, 3!"

We jumped up out of the water at the same time, ran to our clothes, and began to dress. Seconds later, Louis yelled that he was done.

"Hold on! I'm almost done, I need to put on my bra and shirt!" I yelled.

I began to put on my bra but failed with latching it in the back. Ah, curse me for having chubby fingers. I jumped when I felt two hands wrap over mine, and lead my hands to hook the bra.

Louis began to kiss my neck, and I failed to suppress a moan. I felt him smirk into my skin. He sucked and nibbled.

"Gee, Louis, thanks for the fucking hickey. Everyone's gonna wonder where that came from." I moaned out.

"What are you gonna say, love?" he released himself from my neck and looked into my eyes as I put on my shirt, so I knew his eyes weren't wandering.

"We can talk about that on the way, we need to get back." we turned and walked back to camp.

We had been walking for what felt like ages, myself in thought, when I felt something touch my hand. At first I thought I just brushed my hand off of a tree or something, but I felt it wrap itself around my fingers.

I looked down, Louis was holding my hand!!! Oh my, girl moment!!! I looked up into his eyes, and he looked down at mine, smiling when he saw I was confused but happy.

I finally broke the silence. "How about we tell them the truth?"

"The truth? What do you mean babe?"

"Well, I don't know, what do we tell them?" I raised my eyebrow as I looked over at him, walking at the same time.

"Two options. Lie, tell them a leech grabbed your neck and I got it off. Or tell them that I gave you a hickey. And saw you without a shirt on." he smirked, I could hear it in his voice.

"I think we should tell them the leech story, until we figure out what just happened. Wanna talk later?" I looked forward again.

"Sure." we got to the clearing next to camp. "Should we not hold hands?" Louis asked awkwardly.

"I guess. Lets talk tomorrow. We'll tire everyone out so they sleep in longer. We can meet at the lake." I planned.

"Love, that won't be necessary, I get up very early. Haven't you noticed, I'm not here in the morning. I'll wake you up." he kissed my cheek.

We walked over to the camp, about 3 feet apart. When the group saw us, they ran over, checking us for injuries, while Louis and I just stood there, smirking.

"What's that on your neck?!" Zayn asked worryingly. I had to suppress a laugh.

Louis was laughing so hard, so I had to play along. Using my acting skills, I said, "Ha.ha. Louis, very funny. I woke up, went into the jungle, and some damn leech jumped my neck! Louis heard me scream, he pulled the fucker off and laughed at me. Ew, it was so slimy." I fake shivered.

Everyone giggled at me. "Not funny!" We all began to sit down. Before I started walking over, Louis whispered in my ear, "Nice improvising." and he slapped my ass. I jumped in shocked, my face blushing. He sat across from me, do nothing was suspicious.
We had all went through the day, no one getting hurt, or anyone fighting. We sat in our circle. The order was me, Violet, Liam, Alexis, Harry, Louis, Paige, Niall, Zayn next to me. Three logs, Zayn and I on one, Violet, Liam, Alexis, and Harry on the next one, Louis, Paige, and Niall in the last one. It seems as if this was how we sat every night. We we all sitting, staring into the fire, complete silence, when suddenly, I started singing. I didn't even look up from the fire.

"All along it was a fever,
A cold, sweat, hot-headed believer,
I threw my hands in the air and said show me something

Someone had finally caught on to the song, because I heard singing. Someone and I were singing together.

"Not really sure how to feel about it,

I looked up to see who had joined me. I looked at all the faces. It had been Louis.

"I want you to stay----."

Louis did the man solo.

"It's not much of a life you're living,

Together, we sang.

The bridge, my favorite part came, Louis and I still looking into each others eyes, singing.

I sang a high note, "ohhhhh."

Claps erupted around me and I was smiling at Louis, he was smiling back. It felt like the world stopped, until I felt Zayn lean over and kiss my cheek.

I didn't know what to think. I just gave Louis a look to say, we will sort this out tomorrow, and he nodded and gave a small fake smile. No one noticed the exchange, because they were busy getting ready to sleep. Louis layed down so I did so myself. I felt an arm wrap around me and Louis and I both had wide eyes. We could see each other because we both had our heads facing to far end so we could see past the fire.

I lipped the word, "tomorrow."

He nodded and switched sides so his back was to me, leaving me to stare at his sandy brown hair.

K, so I haven't slept, its 5: 30 in the morning here. I didn't sleep at all. This was probably my favorite chapter. Louis got all romantic. And a little perverted. Subscribe and comment for more.
