Surviving

Paige and I were still floating, alone. It was only hours after I found out that Harry and I can mind read with each other. I couldn't make out the island anymore, which is good. I don't want to see that hellhole anymore. But I also wanted to get home faster. I jumped into my bathing suit that I had, then plopped into the water. "Jesus!" I whisper-yelled. Damn. The water was freezing. I kinda swam/walked through the water in the direction that we were floating, pulling Paige and the boat with me. As I pulled, my mind wandered off. I thought of the past I had when it was just Mel and me. I remember the day that she bought a parrot. She walked into the house with it on her shoulder. I screamed because I definitely wasn't expecting that. Then I thought of another memory. The day that Zayn and I went on our date, only a few days before we broke up. *FLASHBACK* Zayn led me through doorways, covering my eyes. I honestly hate surprises. That's no lie. When he removed his hand from my eyes, I looked around and gasped. We were standing in the middle of a carnival, one of my favorite places to be. I turned around and smiled at him. He's so perfect in every way. I dragged him to my favorite game, the balloon pop, where you throw darts at balloons. Zayn payed the guy and guided my arms with his own, leading my hands to throw the darts. We hit 1, 2, 3 balloons, and got to choose from the top row. "Oooh, get the lemur!" I pointed to an overly stuffed lemur. Zayn pointed to it and the carnival guy got it down. He handed the stuffed animal to Zayn and he handed it to me. "Thank you!!!" I hugged him as I kissed his lips. He smiled in response. We ran around the carnival all night, riding rides, all that, until we came to my favorite ride, the ferris wheel. We walked down the line to the gate that lets us in. We were led to the seat that awaited at the bottom, and after we sat down, we were lifted up. Then I realized something, I'm afraid of heights. I was panicking and we were at the top before I had the guts to speak. "Why is this my favorite ride?!" I panicked. He looked at oddly, then realized tha that I was scared. He laughed at me, then wrapped his arms around me. Suddenly, a song started playing over the loud speaker thing. They didn't play music all night, and it suddenly just started playing. Zayn recognized the song immediately, and started singing it. "Baby I just don't get it Do you enjoy being hurt? "I never heard you sing, but I'm sure you'd be too." *FLASHBACK OVER* If only he knew then. If only he knew that I was a rather good singer. It hurts me that he never actually heard me sing. The only person that did was Niall. I never went to a carnival after that. It hurt too much. Way too much. It just reminded me of Zayn. And at that time, I didn't want to think about him. Hw made my heart hurt. But now that I know the truth, it hurts me to think about Mel. Speaking of Melissa, what the he'll happened to her body? It was there the day before, but when I went to get rid of it, the body disappeared. Freaky as fuck. Toni, go the fuck to sleep. I can hear some of your thoughts. I'm pulling Paige and I through the water. Sorry for waking you, babe. He didn't responded after that, so I figured that he fell asleep. I looked at my surroundings. It seemed that we were actually a lot farther from the island, but that also meant that we were much farther from the rest of the group. I wouldn't mind being away from Alexis, but it hurt being away from the rest. Especially Louis lately. I don't know why, but it was killing me. But I have to live with it. Can't do anything about that.
