Promises were meant to be broken.

Zayn's P.O.V

i thought about what Niall said the entire time as we finished getting the boxes. Niall was waiting in the car as I grabbed the last box which Samantha was handing me at the moment. Her hand touched my wounded arm making me flinch and drop the box. She sighed as we knelt down an began putting the items back in the box. But she froze and was looking at something.

"Um...Zayn. I think your jacket is wet......with blood." she said, I looked down at her hand which had a smear of blood on it. I jumped to my feet gripping my arm. She slowly got to her feet, a look of pure confusion coming across her face as she looked at me. The look on my face must of worried her because she held out her hand. I brook a step away from her, shaking my head.

"Zayn, let me see." she said. I knew I couldn't keep this up for much longer so I sighed in defeat and held out my arm. She pushed up my sleeve carefully and covered her mouth in shock when she saw the damage I did to myself.

"Zayn..........why?" she asked looking at me with sadness. I broke down, right there I front of her.
"I did it for you!" I cried. "I thought I could cause myself as much pain as I caused you!"
I was wrapped in her arms now as she ran her hands up and down my back.

"Shhh. Shhh Zayn it's okay." she cooed in my ear but I just shook my head. "I would never want you to feel the pain I felt. Never. And it hurts me to think that you thought I would."

"I'm sooo sorry. I didn't know this would effect you. I'm so sorry." I cried to wanting her to hurt anymore. Then it clicked. We were trying so hard not to hurt each other or ourselves that we were doing exactly that. We needed each other but Sammy wouldn't admit it.

"Zayn, let's start over." I heard her say, breaking my train of thought.
"What?" I said bluntly. She sighed and looked at me dead in the eye.
"Let's start over." she repeated making my heart race. I nodded really fast.
"Yeah. Ok. Yeah." I said quickly.
"But only if you promise to never do this again." she said gesturing to my arm. I nodded and she brought me into another hug. This was happening. She was forgiving me, we would start over and she would fall in love with me all over again.
"Now come on, you guys can stay for dinner. But first let me clean your cuts." she said pulling us to our feet. I nodded letting her gild me toward the bathroom.
