The City Of Love

Shuffling through the aisles I stared down at the cart in front of me. I had literally wasted a whole hour on ten items. How ridiculous. A few bottles of booze, a few beer cases, and an endless supply of snacks. We didn't really need more, but it was the only way I could convince everyone that I wasn't just going out to let out all the emotions I had bottled up.

"You have a nice day ma'am?" The lanky cashier, with a thick french accent replied, handing me the heavy bags.

Hauling them to the rental car, I placed the items in the backseat before plopping myself in the front. Maybe this is what I needed. A reality check? I didn't know what was happening at the moment, I just wanted to have fun. With everyone down at the hotel, and Niall being the center of our problems. I felt obligated to just let it go. Maybe just being friends is what we were meant to be. I just didn't know what the hell was going on. Tap Tap Tap.

"Hi!" A annoyingly loud voice spoke from beside me.

"Hi?" I replied back.

"My names Paris. I know your face, was just wondering if you could give me a ride. We're staying at the same hotel." She smiled brightly. Paris, how creative.

"Uh, sure." I invite her in, starting the car, and speeding off towards the hotel.

"Woah, fast driver!" She exclaimed, and I mentally rolled my eyes.

"So, how do you know me?" I briefly glanced at her, before returning my gaze onto the road ahead.

"You're like One Direction's sister! I only know Niall though. We had like a thing a few months ago." She smiled at me, placing her hands on her lap. Wait. What?

"You're saying you had a thing with Niall? How long ago?" I ask.

"Hm...Like it started like four months ago, but ya know. He just can't get enough. It's been on and off since then, but i'm here to surprise him." She giggled, and I pressed hard on the brakes.

My temper was rising, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to cry or to punch someone, but either sounded enticing. Coincidentally, I had stopped right in front of the hotel. "How about you let me park in the garage, and we can go surprise him together!" I sarcastically exclaim, and she claps her hands together.

"Okay! Sounds good to me!" She smiles, not catching my sarcastic tone.

I gripped onto the plastic bags waiting for the elevator door to open. The voices of all the boys trailed down the hallway indicating that they were still staying at our suite. Inserting my card into the door, I placed the card in my mouth, while pushing the door open with my foot.

"Lia! You're back! We were worried!" Rachel smiled, looking over at Louis and smiling.

"Yea, I'm back." I growl dropping the bags onto the floor, and placing the hotel card in my back pocket.

"Are you okay, Lia?" Esmie whispered beside me, and I shot her a sympathetic look.

"I'm jolly! Wanted to let you guys know I have a surprise! Met this wonderful gal while shopping." I pursed my lips, keeping my eyes fixated on Niall. "Let me rephrase that. She wanted to surprise you Niall. I thought hey! Why not? I mean you guys are a thing after all. Paris why don't you come and surprise Niall." I spoke through gritted teeth as Paris bounced in, practically galloping over to Niall.

His face drained of color, he glanced nervously at the boys. Liam, and Zayn had a look of disgust on their faces, but Louis, and Harry seemed ready to skin him alive. The girls all gasped, and shot me sympathetic looks, but I shrugged it off.

"We all ought to have fun. Paris after all is the city of love." I smile, raising a tall bottle of amber liquid.

The boys that stayed in our suite cheered, Paris being oblivious cheered too. The girls and boys just awkwardly cheered along. Naomi rushed over to me as soon as everyone gathered around picking out a bottle of beer.

"I'm sorry. I . . ." She stammered, but I cut her off.

"It's okay. No more stress, let's just have fun. Okay?" I smiled reassuringly, but she gave me a worried look.
