Summary
Happy, altruistic, and academically inclined, Kenzie Suarez was the epitome of all things good in the world. Living in beautiful and lavish Marlow Point, California, Kenzie spent her free time with her delinquent older brother Regan, who was the king of underground drag racing. On the night of her 16th birthday, Regan dies in a tragic racing competition, and by her parents request, moves 300 miles away to her grandparents home.
Three years later to the date of her brother's death, Kenzie is back in her hometown, no longer dubbed as Regan's kid sister. Her good girl image is tarnished, and in replace is a hard ass with tattoos, piercings, and a talent for racing cars. Back in the same scene that killed her brother, Kenzie runs into Harry Styles. Rude, arrogant, and a womanizer, Harry is the only one who can see right past Kenzie's tough girl attitude, and break down the walls she worked so hard to build-- not realizing that she's demolishing some of his walls too. As the truth of her brother's death surfaces, all Kenzie wants to do is push Harry away, but he's pushing harder, determined to bring back the happy girl he once knew. A girl who once was happy, kind, and the poster child for innocence, Kenzie comes back to her hometown with a bad-girl front. She takes after her brother Regan as a badass driver, and as a girl who takes no bullshit to avoid getting hurt.
02. Harry Styles
Arrogant, rude, and a womanizer, 21-year-old Harry reigns as the current racing king in Marlow Point, CA. While the town sees him as some delinquent with no future, he hides secrets and soft spots, afraid to let anyone see him as weak.
03. Eleanor "Ella" Ruth Suarez
Kenzie's older sister who seems to be perfect in every way. Intelligent, beautiful, and classy, Ella was the ideal role model for Kenzie growing up. Engaged to be married to Connor Kensington.
04. Nora Suarez
Mom to Kenzie, Ella, and Regan. Is the best wedding planner in the area, and strives to make sure her children have the potential to make their futures bright.
05. Theodore "Theo" Suarez
Father of Kenzie, Ella, and Regan. Owns an auto shop in Marlow Point, CA. Cars were his first love before getting married. More laid back than his wife, Nora.
06. Regan Anthony Suarez
At 19, Regan was the former king in underground drag racing. A hard ass who lived life on the fast lane. While he didn't care too much about his future, he cared the most about Kenzie's. Died on June 3rd, 2011 in a racing competition.
07. Connor Kensington
A banker with dark secrets that has the potential to ruin lives. Engaged to be married to Ella Suarez.
08. Niall Horan
Went to high school with Kenzie, and one of Harry's best mates. Loves cars, but doesn't race them.
09. Liam Payne
Went to high school with Kenzie, and one of Harry's best mates. Loves cars just as much as the boys, and loves to race them.
10. Louis Tomlinson
One of Regan's former friends, and one of Harry's best mates. Loves cars. Knows how to race, but doesn't. He's the boys' number one mechanic.
11. Zayn Malik
Went to high school with Kenzie, and one of Harry's best mates. Loves cars just as much as the boys, and is still learning the ropes when it comes to racing.
