The Bucket List

Chapter 6

The lads and I stood in the middle of a boardwalk watching little kids with their parents and people on skates swiftly pass by us as we mounted and waited for Priya and her friends to meet us. As we watched kids beg their parents to buy them souvenirs, the minutes ticked by and the thought of Priya and her friends standing us up felt like more and more of a possibility.

“Harry, they are almost 30 minutes late,” Liam pointed out. “Are you sure Priya didn’t just give you a fake number?”

Of course, that was a thought that had crossed my mind after she handed me her number on a napkin at the café last night. The boys and I had decided to put away the bucket list for a day or two and just explore the area, and I thought maybe Priya would like to join us. Yet again, I was too chicken to ask for only her to come, and I told her to invite some friends. Lucky for me, she had responded not even a minute after I had texted her, and she seemed very excited to show us around. “She said she was going to come,” was all I could say for the reason that I was too engrossed on looking nearby for her.

“Can’t you just text her and ask her what’s taking so long?” he let out a whining noise that made him resemble a child.

I winced at his words, “Isn’t that, like, clingy?”

Zayn let out a deep chuckle, looking towards me with an amused expression, “Asking her if she’s still coming isn’t a crime, Haz.”

“Well, shit, I don’t know,” I groaned and brushed a few of my curls off of my forehead.

Niall was licking an ice cream cone he bought just five minutes ago that he wasn’t even hungry for, but his excuse was that it was only fifty cents. “Just be patient, Liam,” Niall uttered in between licks.

“Niall,” Louis butted in. “Do you even know Liam? He is not a patient person.”

“I can very well be one,” Liam poorly defended himself as Zayn stood there, texting Perrie lovey-dovey text messages like the ones he sent her all night long.

“Liam, remember that time when you were driving us home from my play, and you got stuck behind a slow driver and you kept honking at her?” Louis asked him before taking a sip from his plastic cup that barely had anything left in it.

“Well, she was going at a snail’s pace,” Liam muttered as I spotted a familiar glimpse of hair that perfectly fades from dark brown all the way to a caramel blonde.

“Guys, I think they are here,” I said as I looked in the direction I marked her in. Priya wore light rainbow shorts, which showed off her flawlessly tan legs, with white Vans. Her white lacy top brought out her hazel eyes and her hair was freely flowing over her shoulder. I didn’t even marginally glance at her two friends she had brought with her because I was too fixated on her.

“Hey, sorry we are late,” Priya apologized as the three of them approached us. “We got caught up with what to wear, and, you know, girl things,” she said whispering the last part before giving us a quick smile.

Niall then gagged slightly, in a teasing way, before one of Priya’s friends finally spoke up, “Oh please, you’re going to get married one day. Learn how to get used to it.” Niall raised one eyebrow at her before looking at me then back to her. Niall did always say he liked a challenge.

“Who wants to come with me to the shops?” Liam inquired and waited for any responses.

“Oh!” the other one of Priya’s friends said, and I contemplated if I reminisce this girl from the beach the other day. The blue tips definitely rang a bell of some sort. “Me. I want to get as many accessories as possible, and I’m in need of a new outfit.”

“Okay, anyone else want to come?” Liam asked as blue-tipped girl walked towards him and stood by his side. No one else said anything so Liam spoke up again. “Just you and me then,” he said before flashing a smile at her.

“Sounds good,” she replied before they started to head towards a little shop that was the least packed.

After their conversation was out of ear shot, Louis was the first to speak what was on all of our minds; “So, should we start to head towards the actual fun?” Louis asked before we all started to laugh and nod.

I looked towards Priya, and I noticed she had already been looking at me. I wondered if this was a date, but it didn’t seem like one. Should I ask her on one? She seemed cool and all, but I wondered if I would rush into this whole thing considering my position. I decided it was better not to move too fast. After all, I did have some things to get over, or at least deal with before I should make any decisions on relationships.

“There is no way,” I protested as I stared up at a roller coaster that seemed to be getting higher and higher the longer I stared up at it.

Priya tugged at my arm, trying to pull me towards the long line, but I didn’t budge as if my feet were planted to the ground. “Please, it’s going to be fun.”

“It’s going to be the end of me, that’s what it’s going to be,” I said as I looked at her like she’s crazy for trying to make me get on this ride.

She rolled her eyes and dropped my arm to place her hands onto her hips. “You’re the one who said you wanted to go skydiving, but you won’t go on a rollercoaster?” she tilted her head to the side while her lips twisted into a smirk.

“Yeah but-“

“No, don’t do that,” she shook her head and grabbed my arm again. “You’re acting like the wimp you were when I first met you. Now hush, and get on this ride with me.”

“No one else is going on it,” I whined.

“Which is why I asked you to come with me,” she tugged me again, but I still didn’t dare to move. “Gee, Harry, you really know how to impress a girl,” she stated sarcastically, and I arched an eyebrow at her.

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

She crossed her arms over her chest and gradually walked closer to me, “Oh I don’t know, it’s just that I thought I was the only one here with a vagina.” I choked on my spit from trying to stifle a laugh. I cannot believe how this sweet and innocent looking girl can be so vulgar. “I might even have more balls than you do,” she mocked me with that cute smirk of hers.

“I guess I should prove you wrong then,” I mimicked her expression, and brought my lips close to her ear, “for my ball sack’s sake.”

She laughed, “There’s the confidence I was looking for. It looks so much better on you. Come on,” she tugged my arm, and I willingly let her guide me to the line. Once we were standing behind the organized crowd of people, it seemed she had finally noticed my smug expression. “You weren’t even really scared, where you?”

“Nope.”

“Jerk,” she chuckled and threw a punch at my arm, and it actually kind of hurt, but I refrained myself from seeming bothered by the pain. “Why’d you go all actor on me?”

I shrugged, “Maybe I wanted to see the confidence you brought out the first day we met, as well.” She didn’t say anything after that, but she did smile brightly the whole time we stood in line.

“You cheated.”

“Did not.”

“There’s no way you could beat me.”

Priya held up her giant stuffed banana and waved it back and forth, “Is this truly not proof enough for you?”

“I think the guy at the stand was into you. That’s the only explanation I have for that fruit.”

“I think you suck at the ring toss,” she fired back and made a ‘tsk’ noise.

I crossed my arms and put on the most dramatic pout I could possibly wear, “Well, in my defense, those rings were way too small.”

“That’s the point,” she laughed. “Your aim is just awful.”

“I bet I could beat you at that,” I held an arm out in front of her to stop us both from walking and pointed to another stand. There was a table with three sets of six milk bottles stacked into a triangular formations sitting across another table that held three sets of three baseballs. Looks easy.

“Bet all you want, Curly, but you’re just going to lose again.” That name made the smile I was wearing fade from my face, and I was sure I stopped breathing in that moment. It’s like each time Priya says it, it twists the knife even deeper.

“Please, don’t call me that,” I couldn’t control the words as they tumbled out, but I spoke lowly in hopes she wouldn’t hear what I was saying. Much to my misfortune, Priya looked at me with a curious expression, which told me she had heard everything.

As much as I love Ada and want to keep her in my mind every second of every day, I can’t think about her at a time like this. It’ll only bring me down, and the last thing I want is to have to explain to Priya why I’m moping around. I don’t want to ruin Priya’s day with the load I will continue to carry to my grave. I just can’t do that. That’s why I have to come up with an excuse, and quick. “I’m sorry, I just-“

She placed her hand on my arm and gave it a comforting squeeze, “It’s okay. I hate nicknames too. Yeah, that’s hypocritical, sorry,” she shrugged off the words and removed her hand from me. “Let’s just agree to keep on a first name basis. Deal?”

I gave her a real smile, “Deal.”

“Well, come on, Harry,” she pointed her stuffed banana towards the stand, and we began walk over to it. “Are you ready to get your ass kicked again?”

I raised my eyebrows challengingly, “I think you mean am I ready to kick your ass?”

“You’re on,” she smirked.

“Hello,” the blonde at the stand greeted us, and I nodded at her in response. Priya and I handed her the number of tickets that were needed in order to play, and she motioned for us to start.

Priya set her banana down onto the table beside her and picked up a baseball. “You know what?” she placed the baseball in my hand and smiled smugly at me, “Ladies first.”

I laughed sarcastically. “Just you wait. I’m going to beat you, in style,” I tossed the ball up and caught it while she mocked me with a theatrical, “Ooh, I’m so scared.”

I turned around so that I was facing away from the milk bottles. “Over the shoulder,” I announced as I literally threw the ball over my shoulder.

“Um,” I turned back around to face the blonde chick who was now scratching her head. “It landed behind you, but I think I’m still going to count that as an attempt.”

Priya let out a small giggle that she was trying to stifle back and picked up the ball that was sitting just before my feet. I couldn’t help but smile at how cute her reaction was, so it encouraged me to continue with the silliness. I picked up another baseball as I determined my next move.

“Three-sixty!” I shouted as I spun in a circle and released the ball where I thought the milk bottles were. I actually wound up hitting a guy who was walking behind us with his kid son. “So sorry,” I winced and he just let out a small chuckle and dismissed the situation, but I have a feeling that if his son wasn’t there, he would’ve threw the baseball at me in return.

Priya had her hands around her mouth to cover up the shock and smile, but once the man walked away, she uncovered her mouth and laughed hysterically at me. Once she calmed down, somewhat, she giggled out a, “I think now’s a good time to quit the style thing.”

“Probably,” I chuckled and picked up the last ball. “I’ll just throw this one like a normal person.” I bent my elbow upwards so that the ball was behind and over my shoulder, and then, with great force, I chucked the ball towards the milk bottles. I couldn’t figure out how it was possible, but I missed one of the bottles on the right by a hair. “Oh, come on,” I whined. “This game is rigged too.”

“It doesn’t work like that,” the blonde informed me as if I didn’t already know that. It was a joke, Lady.

Priya shot her the fakest smile I’ve ever seen and gave her an exaggerated nod that had me smiling. “Watch and learn, Harry,” she smirked and lifted up a ball. In one swift motion, the ball was flying out of her hand and crashing into the bottles, sending all six of them to the floor.

My jaw dropped to the floor in disbelief, “How did you…? Did you just…? How?”

“I’ll take the big tiger, please,” she informed the lady, and that’s exactly what was handed to her: a stuffed tiger that was almost the size of herself. “Here,” she placed the banana to my chest, “you can have this, so you don’t feel like too much of a loser. Like I said before, ‘your aim sucks.’”

Just as I playfully glared and stuck my tongue out at the girl, a familiar voice filled my ears, “There you two are.” Louis and Zayn walked up to us, and I noticed Louis carrying a massive sock monkey.

“We’ve been here for hours,” Zayn emphasized the word “hours” in a sneaky way to inform me I should probably take it easy now, “so we thought we’d find the others and head back to the penthouse. We can have barbecue and a bonfire.”

“Sounds good,” I beamed and looked towards Priya. “Would you and your friends like to accompany us?”

“Sure,” she spoke without even taking a second to think it over.

I let out a small laugh, “You don’t want to ask your friends first?”

“If they want to come they can. I honestly don’t care.”

I furrowed my eyebrows and looked towards the boys who only synchronized a shrug. “Um, okay then. It’s settled,” I tucked the banana into my armpit and clapped my hands together.

“Oh, and we thought it’d be fun to invite Ed, as well,” Zayn stated, and I gave him an “okay.”

“Hey Lou?” I asked as we began walking. “Where’d you get the monkey?”

“Oh this?” he lifted it up, and I nodded. “I actually won it at that,” he pointed behind us. “It was so easy.”

I looked towards the direction he was gesturing to, and I saw the milk bottle and baseball toss stand. I let out a loud groan, and Priya began laughing her musical laugh. “Boy, do we have a story for you,” she jokingly winked towards me, and turned towards the boys with a wide smile.

The cool thing about staying at a penthouse on the beach is that we’re already on the beach which has public grills and fire pits that are first come, first serve and free to use. Zayn and Liam took turns manning the grill while Louis and I got the fire started in the fire pit and brought down a table. Niall, Priya, and blue-tipped girl, who I now know as Jane, spent time inside the building preparing a salad and condiments for our burgers and hotdogs. Ed had also helped out by setting up chairs around the fire pit, which was proven quite difficult since he had to drag out some chairs from the penthouse which is actually on the top floor of the apartment complex.

It was only Priya’s other friend, Estelle, that didn’t even bothering asking if she could help out. In fact, when Ed had brought the first pair of chairs down, she just sat in one and stared out at the ocean. She seemed really pouty, sitting all by her lonesome and staring at her phone with pursed lips, so none of us made an attempt to ask her for any assistance. What I found strange was the fact that she and Niall were attached at the hip the whole time we were at the carnival, and suddenly, she’s keeping a noticeable distance from him. I wonder what I missed.

“So, Harry,” Ed made his presence noticeable with a pat on my back. I was now standing at the shore, soaking my feet in the few inches of freezing water while everyone circled the fire pit and waited for the food to be ready. “How are you doing, Mate? We didn’t really get to talk much last night.”

I shrugged slightly and lifted one of my feet to play with the water, “I’m alright, I guess.”

“Alright? I figured you’d be worse.” I looked up at him in confusion to find his sympathetic smile, and I rolled my eyes. “Hey, whoa,” he held up his hands. “Don’t be mad at me. You know Tomlinson, he just can’t keep his mouth shut once it starts running.”

“Yeah,” I scoffed. “No kidding. Did Lou use my cancer to convince you to let me perform?”

“No, no, no. It wasn’t like that,” he quickly defended him and let out a lengthy sigh. “Look, he told me around the time you all found out. He was really upset, and he had no one else to talk to about it since all of the other lads are going through the same thing.”

“Oh,” was all I managed to let out. I haven’t really thought about all of their feelings on everything that has happened and is happening since I’ve been so absorbed in my self-pity. Hearing Ed say that they’re all sad about the fact that I’m dying makes me feel guilty. They’ve constantly asked if I’m alright or have been giving me those worried looks that I hate so much, but maybe that’s something I should be doing for each one of them. Are they okay? How are they doing with all of this? Maybe I should sit down with them, one by one, and talk to them about everything, but I’ll save that for another time when we don’t have company.

“So who’s the girl?” Ed smirked, and I laughed at his sudden subject change. “And don’t ask ‘which one?’ because you know damn well which one I’m talking about.”

“Priya,” I nodded and happily let out a breath of air. “She’s, I don’t know, she’s a lot of things, but I still can’t quite figure her out.”

“Seems to be your type.”

I creased my features and looked down at the waves hitting my ankles. “I don’t know what you mean.”

“Well, the other girls you’ve dated were definitely wild cards, that’s for sure,” he let out a loud laugh and patted my shoulder. “The brunette one, what was her name?” he asked and snapped his fingers as he tried to figure it out.

“Olivia?”

His smile fell open as realization kicked in, “Yes, Olivia. Hell, that girl was crazy. Quite demanding too. Remember when she made you drive back to her house just to get her a scarf when you just came from there? That was hilarious.”

I shook my head and punched his shoulder which he rubbed with an amused smile playing on his lips. “Maybe to you. I tried so hard to get out of that. I offered her my jacket, but nope, that wouldn’t cover up her damn neck.”

He snorted, “And when you told her to use your shirt as a scarf, I just about died. You were so desperate not to waste gas that you were willing to freeze in the snow.”

“Hey, gas is expensive. Could you really blame me?”

“No, Hazza, I got you,” he ruffled my hair, and I immediately did what I could to fix it without a mirror.

“Oh, so he can give you a nickname, but I can’t?” Ed and I turned to face a snoopy Priya who was rubbing her arms to create source of warmth for her bare skin.

“I’m going to go see if the lads need any more help,” Ed patted my back. “We’ll chat later, yeah?” I nodded in confirmation, and he walked back up the beach, towards the group.

I looked towards Priya and noticed her bottom lip quiver ever so slightly, but she tried to cover it up by biting down on it. I let out a small chuckle while stepping towards her and pulling her into my chest. As soon as we made contact, her body tensed up and she asked, “What are you doing?”

“Don’t be so awkward about it, I’m trying to warm you up,” I laughed and felt her relax underneath me. She kept her arms crossed and between our pressed bodies, but I was guessing that was because they needed heat as well. “And for the record, you can call me whatever you want. Just not…”

“I gotcha,” she nodded against me.

“So what’s up with your broody friend?”

She released a groan of hot air onto my clothed chest, “She’s just pissed off that Niall’s not into her.” That’s odd because I was getting a completely different vibe from them. “She’s on her period, for the record.”

I laughed, “Thanks for clearing that up.”

“How could you be crazy enough to put your feet in that freezing water?” Priya looked up at me in disbelief with her bottom lip still quaking.

I shrugged, “It doesn’t bother me, really. The beaches in England are colder, so this weather doesn’t even compare to the freezing nights on the beaches at home.”

“You’re still crazy.”

“Says the girl who told handed a teenager a couple of lemons and told her to ‘squirt someone in the eye,’” I quoted her in my best American girly-girl accent.

She removed one of her arms from in between us and slapped me on the shoulder while surpassing her giggles. “One, I don’t talk like that,” she gave me a whimsical glare, and I pointed at her while nodding my head as to say, “Yes you do.”

“And two,” she couldn’t hold back the few laughs that escaped her lips, “You and your friends said I was a badass for doing that.”

“You are a badass,” I held up my hand to squint at the small gap I formed between my index finger and thumb, “with a dash of craziness.”

“I’ll take it,” she randomly poked my nose with an entertained expression.

I couldn’t help but to smile brightly at this silly, badass, crazy, mysterious, and beautiful girl before me. Her perfectly straight pearly white teeth made an appearance as well while I examined the difference in her striking features. The moonlight was reflecting onto her face which caused her hazel eyes to look more like a smoky grey and her lips to sport a pale slate color almost as if she had been placed into a vintage black and white movie. Still, she looked as ravishing as ever.

“What?” she asked me with that brilliant smile of hers still staring at me.

I opened my mouth to answer her, to tell her how ravishing she looked both in the sunlight and in the moonlight, but I was interrupted by the boys shouting from the fire pit, “Oi, the food’s ready!” “Get over here and eat!” and, of course, Louis was the one who yelled, “Harry, you’re only allowed to eye fuck me!” which was followed by the group bursting into a fit of giggles. Aresholes.

Priya joined in on their laughter before gripping my hand and tugging me towards the fire pit, “Come on, Eye Fucker. I’m starving.”

I was thankful that she didn’t get awkward about Louis’s words and avoided me or something. It was quite the opposite, really. She sat in the chair next to mine, she shared one of the blankets with me that Liam had brought down from the penthouse, and every time someone cracked a joke, she’d nudge me before letting out the beautiful sound of her laughter.

“Ed, did you bring your guitar?” Louis asked him once we all threw away our food into the public trashcan.

He nodded as a cheeky grin formed on his face, “Want to sing something, Lads?”

“Wait, all of you can sing?” Priya gestured her index figure towards each of the lads and I. “I knew Harry could, obviously, but the rest of you can too?”

“Well, yeah,” Liam shrugged.

She breathed out a “wow” before saying, “It’s not every day that you see a group of boys that can all sing.” All of us mates looked over at each other with amused expressions. It wasn’t a big deal to us because it was just a regular thing. We’d occasionally get together and sing for a couple of hours to keep ourselves entertained, especially when there was nothing else going on.

It didn’t take the girls very long to send Ed off to his car to get his guitar out. They were very eager, to say the least, to hear our voices.

“So, Harry,” Liam turned towards me in his chair. “I was thinking we should do the ‘Eye of the Tiger’ thing next on the list because Priya has the perfect prop for us to use: the tiger that she won at the carnival.”

“Eye of the Tiger thing?” Jane asked at the same time as Estelle questioned, “List?”

Priya completely dismissed their curiosity with the shake over her head and by holding up her hand towards them to shush them. “I’m totally in. Is there anything else you guys will need?”

“Um,” Niall furrowed his eyebrows at her and flickered his gaze towards me for a second before returning his attention to her. “We need a rental car,” Niall stated, ”but it’s Louis’s turn to pay for something, so he’s getting it.”

“What about golf carts?” she grinned towards each of us.

Zayn held up his hands in question, “What about them?”

“Well, my father owns three, and he only golfs on weekends. Would you like to borrow them?”

Louis let out a shocked laugh, “All of them?”

“Sure,” she shrugged.

“Uh, Priya,” Jane gained her friend’s focus. “Your father isn’t going to approve of that.”

“My father will be out all day due to endless meetings,” she spoke directly.

“You know he’ll find out.”

She rolled her eyes. “Why? What are you going to do? Tell him?” she laughed at her own questions. Jane remained quiet and glanced towards Estelle who looked just as confused as I felt. Priya sat forward in her seat and pointed at me, “You said, and I quote, ‘You need to enjoy life, explore the world, and do things you’ve always wanted to do.’ I don’t know about you, Harry, but I think that if you don’t find being rebellious enjoyable, then you’re clearly no fun. And I’ve always wanted to take those carts out for a spin anyways. So what do you say?”

My eyes first went towards Louis, who grinned widely, then to Zayn, who only shrugged, then to Niall, who was too busy examining the girls’ reactions to notice, and lastly, to Liam who was shaking his head and mouthing, "no."

“We’re in,” I beamed at the girl and she lifted up her hand to give me a high-five.

“Great. I promise you it’ll be fun, and I’ll bring the golf carts here myself.”

“And how do you drive three carts at once?” I smirked at her, but before she could answer me, Ed returned with his guitar.

It was a perfect night, and I say “perfect” because Priya laid her head on my shoulder as she intently listened to our voices while we sung the songs the girls would suggest. We all did a little bit of dancing, we sung to the sky as loudly as we could, we all laughed and shoved each other around, and Zayn got most of it on camera. Afterwards, we’d keep ourselves entertained with stories about the boy’s and I’s rebelliousness, and Ed even showed off his can-crushing skills with his forehead, in which all three of the girls were utterly impressed by. Like I said, it was a perfect night.

Curiosity got the best of me. I needed to know what went on with Niall and Estelle that gave them a sudden change of heart, so after the girls had left, and Ed decided to crash on our couch, I found myself knocking on Niall’s bedroom door.

“Come in,” I heard him say before I entered the room. “Hey, Harry,” he smiled once he saw me and continued to rummage through a dresser drawer.

“Hey, so I have a question.” I walked over to his bed and plopped myself onto it as I awaited him to finish whatever it was that he was doing.

“Ah there it is,” he pulled out an orange t-shirt. “I’ll be needing this tomorrow. Liam says we should all wear orange and black. He’s really excited about his one, yeah?” I nodded and he threw the shirt onto his end table before joining me on the bed. “Ask away.”

I sat up and scooted backwards on the bed until my back was pressed against the wall. “Okay, so, what happened with you and Estelle? You two seemed to be hitting it off, and then suddenly, you guys wouldn’t even look at each other.”

He let out a lengthy sigh before looking up at me from his lap, “You know I like my challenges, and, damn, that girl was a challenge, but I did it; I got her flirting with me and shit. Then, she was this completely different girl, talking about her manicure and how it had to be a color that went with her skin tone. When it came to going on rides, we didn’t. I didn’t get to go on a single ride because she was whining about how they’ll mess up her hair.”

I snickered a little, “That’s fucking annoying. You could’ve met up with us, and I would’ve sat with her and sent you and Priya on a few rides.”

“No,” he shook his head. “It doesn’t even matter, I guess. I was just frustrated because she didn’t want to do anything at all. She didn’t want to play any of the carnival games because she was too nervous about the possibility of losing, she didn’t want to try any of the food because they had too much carbs, and after a while, she made me give her a piggyback ride because her feet hurt.”

“You normally don’t care about all of that stuff though.”

“Yeah, because in the end, I’d get a good shag out of it,” he began to raise his voice a bit, ”but the thing is, she was too girly for me, and I found myself so annoyed by her. She spent most of the time complaining, and she’s so full of herself. She’s nothing like-“ he cut himself of and stared towards the floor in a daze.

I arched my brows in anticipation, “She’s nothing like who?”

He groaned and ran his hands down his face before shaking his head, “I’m just not interested in her, Haz, okay? She’s just not my type.”

“Since when do you have a type?” I laughed.

“Maybe I want change, just as you do. Maybe I don’t want a quick fuck, but rather a person to be with for a long period of time,” he stared at the honeydew wall ahead as he spoke. “Is that such a bad thing?”

I placed my hand on his shoulder that was furthest from me and gave it a squeeze, “Of course not, Ni. It’s very mature of you.”

“I’m not talking marriage or anything,” he clarified, “but a relationship would be nice.”

“Little Nialler’s first relationship,” I teased as I shook him.

“It’s nonexistent,” he laughed and finally looked towards me.

I hugged him tightly, in which he tried to escape from. “Ni Ni is growing up so fast,” I spoke in a squeaky voice.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” he questioned, but chuckles were still falling from his lips. He attempted to pry his arms out from underneath my own, and he used his legs to try and crawl away from me on the bed, but I continued to hold him strongly. “Haz, get off of me,” he demanded in between laughs.

“Nope.”

“I will knee you in the balls.”

“I’ll do it back.”

“Harry, get off!” he shouted with a chuckle.

Suddenly, Louis slammed the door open, causing Niall and I to both freeze in our awkward position. Niall was laying on his back now, and my legs were slotted in between his own while I still held him tightly to my body.

“You’re just a two-timer of all sorts today,” Louis feigned hurt towards me, and I laughed.

“Help me,” Niall pouted.

Louis looked between me and Niall before shrugging, “Or maybe I’ll join you.”

“No, no, no, no,” Niall begged, but it was already too late. Louis was now laying across both of us, leaving me laughing harder and Niall groaning in pain and complaining about his balls being crushed. This was a moment Zayn soon walked in to record with his video camera.
