Chapter 2- Travelling

Once I was finish packing I sat on her bed and stared at my grad present. I had definitely not expected this I mean it was crazy! How had their parents afforded it? I mean it was just a lot to get one direction tickets let alone backstage passes, plane tickets and a two week stay at The Mark hotel! I was in so much shock I barley heard the beep coming from her laptop. I was getting a Skype call I didn’t know who it was but I was thinking too much too care I answered the call. “Hey Girl!” It was auntie Maura. “Hi auntie Maura why are you calling so late?” I asked not annoyed just curious. “Oh well sorry if its late I am still on Ireland time! Anyways I wanted you to meet your cousin- But before she could continue Kyla blurted “How did you get my Skype?” “Oh I got it from your mother you were in deep conversation with Hannah I didn’t want to bother you” she replied sweetly. I remembered when Hannah and she were in a very deep conversation she understood why auntie Maura didn’t want to interrupt. “Oh Hannah and I were talking about how excited we are for the concert and our two weeks in New York!” I exclaimed. “Oh well now that you have brought up the subject of the concert I actually gave Hannah and your parents the backstage passes and tickets they just got the hotel and plane tickets!” auntie Maura said excitedly. “How did you do that?” My voice faded into a whisper as I asked. “Now this brings up our next topic Kyla I want you to meet your cousin Niall.” Replied auntie Maura with a big grin on her face. A new face appeared on the screen Kyla didn’t recognize him at first. “Hi I’m Niall Horan from one direction.” The face said smiling at me. I looked at the screen and realized her mouth was hanging open she took a minute to come to her senses. “Um…Hi” Kyla said unsure of what to say. She silently thanked herself from not fan girling. “Ok I will leave you to it” said auntie Maura as she left. Niall gulped and I suddenly felt bad for him he had to meet me through a computer screen. “So I hear you are coming to the concert on Tuesday?” Niall asked shyly. I can’t believe he is embarrassed he’s the pop star why should he be nervous? “Yup” I replied popping the p. “I am all packed and ready to see New York!” I exclaimed as I tried to lighten up the conversation. “I will see you there because me and my friend Hannah got backstage passes!” I blurted out his face instantly lit up. “Hey mum! Can I tell Kyla the surprise it’s killing me not to?!” Niall yelled to auntie Maura. “What surprise?” I asked genuinely excited. “Oh alright!” replied auntie Maura in defeat. “You and Hannah will be joining me and the boys to the after party!” Niall exclaimed so excitedly auntie Maura told him to shush! “OMG! No way I have to go and find something to wear! Bye Niall see you on Tuesday and nice meeting you!” I yelled as I ran to my phone to call Hannah then to my closet to find something to wear. I didn’t even bother saying hello to her I just told her the news and as soon as I was done she hung up obviously going to look for something to wear. The same moment I was freaking out that Niall Horan was my freaking cousin and that I needed something nice to wear.

~next morning~

“UGH! I am so tired!” complained Hannah as we checked in the last of our luggage. We had already said our goodbyes to family and friends. “So I have some special news to tell you but you have to keep it a secret for now. Kapeesh?” I asked her. “Kapeesh. Now what SPILL the news sister!” she replied as we found seats at our gate where the plane would arrive. “Niall Horan is my cousin” I whispered excited to see my best friend’s reaction. “What?!” she screeched a lot of people turned to look at us. “Shhhh you have to be quiet about it or we will get mobbed.” I hissed at her. She sadly nodded but quickly started to interrogate me on how I found out. I told her about the Skype call and auntie Maura. She oohed and aahed at parts that I didn’t find interesting but she did because they included Niall Horan. It was announced that our plane was here. Hannah and I grabbed our purses and fumbled with our plane tickets. We finally got on the plane and sat down. I got the window seat because we both knew she would sleep the whole time anyway. As soon as we were up in the air I heard Hannah silently snoring beside me. I put on my headphones to listen to Ed Sheeran and I looked out the window for the whole flight. I woke up to Hannah slapping my arm saying I have to wake up. I must have fallen asleep halfway through because we were just about to land. I put away my iPod and headphones to get ready for the landing. I laughed hysterically when I saw Hannah’s hair she had somehow managed to get bed head from sitting in a chair. We got off the plane and went to claim our luggage. After we went to the pickup and I tried to look for my aunt Caroline she was nowhere to be seen. As we were starting to panic my phone vibrated. I got a text. Hey Aunt Caroline can’t make it Niall and the boys are picking you up in a black caravan –your momxoxo

“Hannah! OMG! Niall and the boys are picking us up in a black caravan look for one!” I screamed. A lot of people stopped and stared thankfully there were no fans or anyone who knew who Niall was. “I see it.” Hannah said surprisingly calm. We both put on big grins and walked up to the van with our luggage. But before we could get even halfway Niall came out with Paul their bodyguard and took our bags. We both smiled great fully and got into the van. We were not prepared for what we saw.
