Chapter Six
Niall P.O.V
Although I hadn't planned to wake up hugging Jess to my chest I wasn't objecting to it. What I was objecting to was the annoying sound that was coming from Jess's phone. She stirred and grumbled and eventually slid right out of my arms.
"Time for practice" She said with her eyes still pretty much closed.
I figured I should probably be getting back to the hotel because the lads and I had some interviews to do this morning. We also had a photo shoot. I just wanted to lay in bed and talk to Jess all day and possibly watch movies but we both have our jobs to do.
"Text me after you're done for the day?"
"Of course! I have to go to practice and then I have to go to my trainer and I think I have an interview as well. We can go on an adventure when we are both done"
I put my clothes on and as I was about to walk out the door, Jess runs over in just a sports bra and her spandex and plants a kiss on my cheek. She blushed and then she ran and grabbed a shirt from her room. She then ran out of her room, all three dogs running after her, and fed all the dogs. She gave each one of them a kiss on the head and then went into her garage.
"I will see you in a little bit! Smile pretty for your photo shoot!" She giggled and drove away in her Porsche.
I was right behind her before she turned to head down a different direction. I couldn't help to laugh about the events of last night. I actually was trying to wrap my head around how fast everything was happening. That's when it hit me. Maybe the reason why we were moving so fast was because we don't live a lifestyle where we can go nice and slow into things.In less than four days, I would have to be back on a plane heading to the States for at least a month before I could even think of coming back to Ireland. Not to mention Jess is preparing for the world cup and would soon start the qualifying rounds.
By the time I arrived at the hotel and gave my keys over and thanked Frank, the man in charge of our vehicles here in Dublin, I was deep in thought.
"NIALL! Dude, how was last night?" Louis asked with excitement.
"It was really good actually. We went back to her flat which is gorgeous."
"I'm guessing you stayed there?" Harry chimed in with a smirk on his face.
"Well I wasn't in my hotel room was I?" I smirked back.
"So? Is this your dream girl that you have been waiting for?" Liam asks while pouring his cereal."
I know it is still really early but I just feel like we've known each other forever and you know, she just might be" I say with a smile but soon it disappears once I am caught into deep thought.
"What are you thinking about, mate?" Zayn asks while examining the change in my emotion.
"I am just worried because we both live busy lifestyles on how we would make time for each other," I say with a shrug of my shoulders.
"Don't worry about that Niall. It works out in the end, I mean look at Perrie and I. We're engaged and we are both in successful bands and we still have time for each other. Now I wont lie to you that times do get hard because you just want to be together bt it makes the time that you do spend with each other that much more special" Zayn says comforting me.
“Wait wait, the two aren’t even an item yet. Why are we talking about a relationship already?” Louis points out.
“True true, take it easy man” Harry says.
“I mean I’m not jumping right into it but I don’t know. We only have two more days here and I am just worried that it isn’t enough time. I really do like this girl and I think it helps that we both vaguely knew each other when we were little ones in school but I don’t know. I’m trying not to think too much into it.”
“Just go with the flow, that’s the best advice I can tell ya. And take advantage of your time here if you think there might be a real connection between you two.“ Liam always has the best advice.
After a good talk with the lads over breakfast, it is time to get dressed and ready to go for our interview of the day. Thankfully after today we don’t have anything else on our schedule during the next two days. This means everyone will be flying home for a couple of days but I am going to stay right here in Dublin but maybe I can get Jess to come to Mullinger with me for a day.
Lou fixes my hair up like usual and lets me pick out my outfit with her approval of course. I just pick out a white shirt, black skinny jeans and a pair of green vans instead of black ones. Nothing special.
Once we were all ready, we hopped in the van and headed to the studio. When we arrived it was filled with screaming fans outside the doors. Before we brace ourselves for impact I feel my phone buzz in my pocket.
Good luck with that madness and try not to get a body part ripped off. They were over here before they headed over there. They are nuts! BTW I am right across the street practicing but yeah haha good luck!
I didn’t know Jess had practice over here. But the text made me smile and before I had a chance to reply, Paul and the gang was escorting us into the building.
It was the same old madness. I love our fans and I thank them for their support but sometimes I wish they would just be a little more civil and then maybe we could actually talk to them but instead they act all crazy making them a ‘threat to our well-being’ but oh well.
While backstage, the lads and I were stuffing our faces with bagels before we had to head out. While sitting back there I head the TV host talking about what they had in mind for the audience today.
“Today we have some pretty important guests so we have a treat for you! Today we will be talking with a couple of the women from the National soccer team as they prepare for their upcoming World Cup but they won’t be over till they finish up some things at practice. So until then, we will be spending majority of the time with no one other than your favorite boyband…..ONE DIRECTION!”
I was secretly hoping one of those women was Jess but until then that was our cue to run out like mad men. Of course everyone went crazy.
“HELLO GUYS! So happy to have you guys on the show! Hope you’re ready for some questions, games and fun because there will be a lot of that going on today!”
“Oh you betcha Nancy, we are so ready!” Harry says.
“Alright, should we start off with some questions before we start with the games?” Nancy looks at the crowd and of course they yell ‘YES’ at the top of their lungs.
“Well okay then! I have some questions to ask you boys and then we can have some people from the audience ask some questions too, if you don’t mind.”
“Not at all, fire away guys” Liam said.
“Alright, first question is for all of you and it’s pretty generic but it is something we want to know. Although you guys are just finishing up On the Road tour, can we see another tour soon?”
Louis was the first one to speak up and I am sure management won’t be too pleased with this answer but Louis doesn’t care anymore.
“Honestly, I know all of us lads need a little time to just relax and lay low.”
“But we plan on recording new songs and hopefully have a new album out while we aren’t touring.” Harry saved Louis’s ass like usual.
Nancy went on asking more generic questions like how long we plan on being One Direction and staying together which is always nonsense but then it was time for a few questions from the audience.
“Alright time for our first fan question! Row 4, Seat 26, you are lucky number one!” Nancy said while making her way to the lucky fan.
“I’m Bailey and my question is for Niall.”
“Ask away Ms. Bailey!” This makes her blush and it always makes me laugh about how fans act around us. We’re just normal lads but whatever.
“Within the past couple days here in Dublin, headlines have been popping around that you have been spending a lot of time with my idol, Jessica Reilly. I know it is still probably early, but can we see you being in a relationship with her in the near future?” She asks and she actually seems like she wants us to date which makes me happy.
It is always kind of scary to see how fans react to any of us getting in a relationship and honestly, our fans are normally always right when they say that we shouldn’t be dating people because usually the relationship ends on not so pleasant terms.
“Well Bailey, as you stated it is still early and as much as I do enjoy spending time with Ms. Reilly, it is not all up to me.”
Bailey smiles and gives the thumbs up saying as though she approves.
Throughout the rest of the questioning segment of the show, I wasn’t paying attention honestly because most of the questions were for Harry as usual. I didn’t mind though because it gave me time to enjoy the fact that at least one fan of ours gave the relationship approval with Jess and usually if one gives the stamp of approval, a lot of others will as well.
We were wrapping up the questions when Nancy announced that unfortunately us lads had to get going because we had a busy day, which all we had to do was go to a photo shoot and we we’re free for a good solid three days. We hugged Nancy good-bye and thanked her for having us. As we were walking back behind the stage, I caught Jess running up to me to say hi. Nancy wasn’t kidding that they were coming right after practice.
Jess was still in her black practice shorts and had her soccer socks scrunched as far as they would go without cutting off circulation to her foot. She was wearing sparkly Sperry’s rather than slides like the rest of her team. She also had this green half-zip sweatshirt on that looked really cute on her and brought out her brown eyes. Her hair was still in a braid but you could tell that she had been working hard because it was loosening and little strands were flying out. She just looked perfect; there is no other way to explain her.
She gave me a hug and then she ran out on stage with a few of her other teammates. The crowd went crazy for them, almost as crazy as they went when we went out there.
I must have looked pretty dorky because I was staring at the telly that showed what was going on onstage. Zayn came and saw me in this state and pulled me out of my trance with his laughter.
“Someone has been struck with cupid’s arrows but unfortunately you will have to talk to her later because we need to go get this shoot over with so I can go see my pretty lady as well,” He said while chuckling.
Although I knew Jess wouldn’t get my text till after the show that gave me plenty of time to plan our night.
