Bad Decisions

“Are you worried you might be dragging Calum along? Do you think this might be too drastic?” I sighed running a hand through my hair.
“It was Calum’s idea. I just don’t know anymore, it’s not right. I don’t feel it.”
“Why are you doing this for Luke though? I get that you like him,” my eyes widened hearing those words come out of her mouth. “You can’t be serious Lil, it’s blatantly obvious. You could have just told Luke.”
“He has Gabrielle now, or Gab or whatever everyone seems to love to call her. I’m just Lily, boring Lily. Luke has her, he doesn’t need me.”
“You’re jealous, you are in love. My Lily is in love.”
“I am not in love, stop being stupid. Can you just not tell Ash though, or anyone else for that matter. I just don’t want to stuff anything up and I think I’m in too deep.”
“I don’t know if this will make matters worse or not, but I’m pretty sure Cal likes you more than a friend.”

“So how are you and Gab going, you seem to be getting pretty close now?” Calum asked and I tried everything in myself to stay calm and handle this situation well.
“We’re as good as we can be. With us being fake and all it’s been pretty good. How about you and Lily?” Shit, am I really so stupid.
“It’s been great really, she’s lovely as we all know and I’m just super happy.”
Don’t say anything rash Luke, do not say any- “I’m thinking of asking management to extend my contract with Gabrielle. Maybe for a few months more or something. I really enjoy her company.” Holy fuckballs, I did not just say that. I mentally face palmed as Calum and Ashton’s faces lit up in surprise.
“What!” They both exclaimed.
“I did not see that coming. I’m happy for you Luke, finally moving on.” Well that sure felt like a stab to the heart. “You should call management and tell them, the sooner the better they say.”
“It was just a thought.”
“I thought it was a good idea, go ahead you can use my phone if you want.”
“No I’m right, I have mine. I’ll just go call them.”
Another three months I’m with her, supposedly, unless we have a change of heart. I don’t even like her, at all. She scares me if I’m honest. I don’t want to do this. Then again, Calum might be right, if they’re happy together, and if I really like her, then I should let them be happy together and move on. And maybe, just maybe, Gabrielle might help me to do that.
“Are you okay? You didn’t have to do that Luke, I know that this situation isn’t what you want to be in so you really shouldn’t have done that.” I hadn’t realised that I had been in a daze, staring at the blank wall in front of me.
“Maybe Calum’s right. I mean, Lily looks happy and that’s what I want for her. Even if it leaves me a bit hurt. I should move on, I’ve been hung up over her long enough, she’s slipped through my fingers Ash, there’s nothing I can do now.”
“Luke…”
“Don’t, it’s no use Ash. I’m just going to have to accept that this is what has happened and get on with my life. Can we go back in there now, and can you stop being so hostile towards Calum. You can’t help who you fall for.”
“If this is what you want, I don’t think I can stop you. But when you finally come to your senses I’ll be here for you. You can come and talk to me okay.”
“Alright Ash, can we move on now. Actually, what’s going on between you and Chantelle?” I wiggled my eyes at him.
“Shut up Lukey, deal with your own love issues.”
“Oh, so you love her. I called it.”
“Who does Ashton love?”
“Chantelle,” I grinned deviously.
“Ooh my wittle Ashy is growing up, so adorable.”
“I will murder you,” he warned us before crashing onto the couch, burying his face in the pillows. “Let’s just watch a movie or something.”
“Whatever you want, lover boy.” And I must admit I deserved that pillow in the back of my head.

So this has taken a lot longer than I expected it to but at least it's finally up,
I know it's short but the next chapter will be up in this next week, I've already started it so fingers crossed everything goes to plan
