The past week has been extremely uneventful. Working out what I am going to do on the tour with all the boys has been extraordinarily boring as I don’t really get much say in the whole matter. Management wants me writing some more music with other artists so they have teamed me up with Eminem in a week’s time or so, meaning I have to fly to LA. Window-shopping is what is holding my interest at this time. The change in seasons brings a change in looks and colours, making it a great time to get out and about. The Starbucks coffee that’s wrapped in my hands is aiding in keeping me warm and it tastes great as a bonus.
I had been walking around the shops for a good hour, occasionally stopping to talk to a fan or make a purchase. I had just finished taking a photo and talking with a fan when I caught sight of something I didn’t really want to see, the paparazzi only adding to it. There Luke was, his arm wrapped around Gabrielle as he whispered something into his ear, leading her away from the paps. He had a slight look of discomfort on his face as she kissed his neck, me watching on getting more annoyed as the seconds passed. His blue eyes caught my green ones and he smiled slightly, changing directions to approach me. No, no, god no, I don’t want to have this confrontation and to have to deal with the paps as well. I threw my empty cup into a nearby bin and controlled myself from banging my head against the closest wall as they quickly approached. I looked from Luke to Gabrielle Aplin, who had a scowl adorning her face as she recognised me. This wasn’t going to be fun.
“Lily,” Luke wrapped his arms around me briefly.
“Hey Luke, you two on a date?” Gabrielle gave me a look and Luke nodded. “I see the paps have found you as well.” He sighed.
“That’s the plan.” Gabrielle snapped causing Luke to flinch slightly. “Luke, I’m hungry, can we go get lunch. I’m sure Lily has more important stuff to do too.” I gave Luke a sad smile that he returned.
“Why don’t you come with us, it’s nothing fancy and because we have to spend time together for the next couple of months it would be good for you to get to know each other. My shout,” Luke gave me his puppy dog face and she rolled her eyes.
“She obviously has more important things to do with her busy little li-“
“Sure, I haven’t anything better to do and I could do with a bite to eat.” Gabrielle scowled at me and Luke’s whole aura brightened.
Gabrielle led the way to wherever she wanted to eat as me and Luke talked, presumably much to her dislike. I have no idea what I did to make her so cold to me but I didn’t want to bring it up.
We were placed by a waitress who looked to be trying to control her inner fangirl. She took our drink order and almost skipped off. Gabrielle rolled her eyes as I chuckled, Luke smiling.
“So how is your music coming along?” She asked almost sassily.
“Oh, I’m going to LA for a week or so in a week to write a song with Eminem and then we’ll record a bit before I come back and finish anything else that needs to be done for it here.” Luke looked at me surprised.
“Since when? Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Oh, it must have slipped my mind. Management told me a few days ago and I’m so excited, this is crazy!” Luke laughed lightly at me.
“That’s amazing, get an autograph for me,” he joked.
“Well isn’t that just so sweet?” Gabrielle felt the urge to add, this girl I swear. An awkward tension settled over us, the excited waitress right on cue with our drinks. We placed our orders and she disappeared, the silence drifting over us again.
“So Luke, how is tour practice coming along? I bet you look great up on stage,” she purred, stroking his arm. Someone please hold my hair back, I’m going to throw up. Does she think they are actually dating or something? What a freak! Luke looked very uncomfortable by the whole situation and I couldn’t help but feel sorry for him.
“It’s good, we’re spending some time with One Direction to practice for their upcoming tour that we are opening for and working on our own stuff which is really good; Finally living the dream.” He tried to smile but she scooted closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder. He grimaced slightly when we made eye contact and I didn’t know if it was better or worse that we were sitting in a booth. Yes, we had privacy and I didn’t have to sit all that close to her, but I had to watch them be all fake loved up, well at least Luke was being fake, seeing as though he was interested in someone else. I wasn’t too sure about Gabrielle though, she did seem a bit flirty – gags slightly – but I can’t blame her, it is Luke.
“That’s great babe, can I come to one of the rehearsals?” Oh dear god, shut up.
Luke cleared his throat. “I guess management will want you to.”
“Do you not want me there anyway?” She asked with a slight pout and he gulped.
“Uh, um, yeah sure, sure I do.” He stumbled over his words, shy Luke was coming out.
“Good, well I shall check my schedule and see when I can make it. You’ll text me the details right.” Jesus she was forward. He nodded uncomfortably as is he was a guy at the bar with a girl trying to force herself on him when he wasn’t interested. She sent an evil smirk my way causing me to roll my eyes, Luke giving me a confused look as he caught it too and I shrugged in response.
Our meals arrived and we ate in mostly silence, making small talk occasionally when it felt necessary. I can’t believe I even agreed to come with them, I’m sure they would have had a better time without me. Doing what…? Shut up brain, no one likes you.
“So Lily, got a man in your life?” Gabrielle asked, almost as if it were a joke to her. I was on my last straw with her snarky remarks directed to me but I had to keep my cool. Luke looked like he wished she hadn’t asked that question, not that I knew why.
“No, I don’t really get that much male attention or at least the good kind I want.” I tried to shrug it off but honestly I hated being single and being surrounded by couples, real or fake. It made me feel unwanted. Luke’s face lit up slightly but he tried to keep it contained, he’s a strange one. Gabrielle looked like she had won the lotto and I was seriously getting concerned.
“That’s not a surprise really though is it?” She did not just say that.
“Lil-” Luke started off but I wasn’t having any of it.
“-Excuse you? I’m sorry that I like being single and that I’m not throwing myself at someone for money like say, you. I don’t appreciate your bullshit and I’m not going to put up with it.” I took a breath but that probably wasn’t the best idea.
“I’m sure she didn’t mean it like that Lil,” so he’s defending her, right.
“I’m sure she didn’t,” I replied sarcastically while grabbing my wallet and throwing some money to cover my meal on the table.
“Where are you going? Keep the money, I said it was on me.”
“I don’t need you paying for my things Luke, I can look after myself and defend myself. I don’t need a fake boyfriend to do it for me, or even a real, or thought to be real friend to.” Gabrielle looked like she was seeing an Oscar award winning movie and Luke looked like I just slapped him across the face. I grabbed my things and swiftly exited the shop, praying that they wouldn’t follow.

“This is all your fault,” I basically growled at Gabrielle, reaching for my wallet and throwing the remainder of the money needed on the table to her. “Make yourself useful and pay for this stuff and find a way to your place while I go work your mess out.” She smirked at me a flipped her hair over her shoulder.
“Sure thing, babe.” And she kissed me, she fucking kissed me. I wish murder wasn’t illegal because I was about to commit it. I hate this contract and I hate Gabrielle. Lily is turning against me and I’m putting her in pain and it’s killing me. I pulled away and gave her a fake smile for the few photographers around, petting her hair down before dashing out after Lily. I ran in the direction she came from and called her phone, hoping the sound of her ringtone would send me in the right direction after her. My plan worked and I hung up before she could even see the number come up on her phone. She was running a free hand through her hair and muttering things under her breath, tears brimming her eyes as I approached her, grabbing the hand tangled in her hair and pulling her out the nearest exit that was conveniently located a few metres away, before she could respond. When she realised what had happened though she jerked her hand away, struggling to fold her arms across her chest with all her shopping as she turned away from me, a stray tear slipping down her cheek. The pain I was being put through seeing her this way and knowing it was partly my fault was killing me on the inside, I didn’t want to ever make her cry but here we are. I just wish I could punch myself in the face multiple times.
“Lily, I’m sorr-”
“-Don’t be, you just supported your girlfriend.” She shrugged a little. It’s confirmed, I’m the worlds biggest douche bag,
“I supported something I didn’t believe in, what-” She cut me off again.
“Save it Luke, I don’t want to hear your explanation,” she began to walk away but she wasn’t getting away that easily. I grabbed her by her waist and pushed her against the closest wall, standing in front of her so she couldn’t get away. She huffed before biting her lip to stop her tears from falling and avoiding eye contact. “Let me go Luke.” She said in a calm, hurt voice.
“No, not until you hear what I have to say and believe it.”
“Well, we might be here all night then.” She said still not making eye contact with me.
“I’d wait here an eternity.” This made her head snap up, her chin trembling as we made eye contact.
“Don’t be stupid Luke.” She said in a voice just above a whisper and I shook my head.
“I’m not, Lily.” She shook her head and refused to believe it. “What Gabrielle said back there wasn’t right and I didn’t agree to it, I just didn’t want you to be upset and I also didn’t want to get in trouble at management for causing a scene. I know I should have stopped her as well and for that I am sorry, I am also sorry for what you had to put up with over lunch, if I knew it was going to be that uncomfortable then I wouldn’t have let it happen. I hate the fact that this is my fault and that I am under this contract but I’m in it for the band, but please don’t be mad at me because I never wanted to hurt you, I wanted to stop you from getting more hurt.” She had tears streaming down her face but both of us refused to break eye contact. She nodded slowly as I reached my hand up to wipe the tears from her face, leaving the hand there after as we continued just to stare into each other’s eyes. My heart rate picked up as I realised our position and proximity but before I could do something completely irrational she spoke up.
“Ok Luke, thank you, I believe you. I’m sorry for snapping back in there and for ruining your date.” She looked down again so I grabbed her chin, gently forcing her to look at me.
“You didn’t ruin it ok, she did. And you had the right to snap, she was being terribly awful to you.” She nodded and smiled shyly.
“You should probably get back to her.” She whispered.
“I sent her home.” I laughed lightly along with her.
“Will management be happy about that?” she asked with a naughty grin on her face and I just couldn’t bring myself to tell her that they got something of what they really wanted from us, a kiss.
“Don’t care. Do you have anything else to do here?” she shook her head. “Wanna go to Calum’s then, I think everyone else is there.” She nodded with a genuine smile on her face and one instantly spread across mine. I looked down at her body that I was almost crushing into the wall and a blush spread across of both of our cheeks though the smiles still remained. I took the hand I grabbed before and directed her to lead me to her car, Gabrielle and I had been dropped here in managements car so I didn’t have to worry about that. We buckled in and she smiled shyly at me once before starting her car. I leaned back in my seat with a big smile across my face and let out a satisfied sigh. The control this girl had over me was crazy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Hey hey! Chapter 4 is up, finally may I add and I loved writing it so much!
As usual with me, I expected to have this up way sooner but at least it is up now *sighs*.
This is going to be the last one for at least a week unfortunately, it annoys me as well don't worry. I have to go to music school and they don't want us bringing computers or even a phone argh, so I have no way of updating any of my stories :( it should be up by Easter though *crossesfingersandtoes*

Also this chapter is unedited at the moment so I really should go back and check on it soon so sorry if there are any mistakes -.-
And another thing - I have nothing against Gabrielle Aplin, I love her music it's just that she fits the character I wanted to write, and tbh it's kind of annoying for me as well because we have the same name so if any of you don't like the way I'm portraying her I am terribly sorry!
