Blooming

“And today in the studio we have Lily Underwood,” Scott Mills informed his listeners. “How are you on this fine day?” He asked me.

“I am very well why thank you Scott,” I replied in a posh tone before cracking up laughing along with Scott. “But in all honesty, I’m quite well, thank you.”

“Always entertaining, aren’t you? Are you that well because the rumours you are going on tour with your close friends the 5SOS boys are true?” He inquired, trying to get some information out of me.

“Oh well it might be, you never know.”

“Come on, you can tell me, I can keep a secret.” He joked and I laughed along.

“Well since that’s the case then yes I can confirm that I shall be touring with them and One Direction while writing some new music and I will also be going on their mini tours this year.” I informed him and our listeners.

“That must be exciting for you.” I nodded enthusiastically before realising that I was on radio.

“Yeah, it should be a great experience. Plus, another secret, I might be getting up on stage with the boys to perform.” He raised his eyebrows.

“And they’re doing stadium tours right? That’s crazy.”

“Yeah, it is pretty crazy.” I confirmed.

“And you said you will be writing more music this year is that right?”

“That is correct, I should be releasing my next album at the end of this year and going on tour next year. I’ll also be releasing songs during the year so it’s pretty exciting.”

“I bet, is there anything else going on in your career right now?”

“Oh well, I have been working on a book and management have also signed me up for some ads and stuff along those lines so you’ll be seeing me around still, don’t think you got rid of me yet.”

“Damn,” he joked. “And we have some questions coming through on our twitter for you if you want to answer them.”

“Absolutely,” I nodded my head.

“Ok so the first one says: ‘if you weren’t a musician, what would you want to do?’” I scrunched my eyebrows together in thought.

“I probably would have gone into law or accounting or editing – something along those lines – although I had also considered helping out disadvantaged children, but once I have released more albums and done more work I think I might set up a foundation or donate to a charity to help those kids out, and I might go visit some sometime soon.”

“Very inspirational aren’t we.” He chuckled. “Ok here’s another one: ‘if you could have any super power, what would it be?’”

“Oh well I’d either like to be able to fly, that would probably be my most favoured option. Or at least be able to turn invisible that would also be very helpful.”

“Yes that would be very good wouldn’t it, moving on: ‘if you were born a boy, what would you have been called?’”

“Patrick.” I answered quickly.

“Patrick Underwood, nice hey. Let me just, oh here: ‘how do you define happiness?’”

“That’s a hard one man! Um, happiness for me is when you feel safe, negative thoughts aren’t clouding your mind, and you are free to do whatever you want. You’re confident and comfortable in yourself and no one is going to trample your spirits. You just feel so good in yourself, even if you are doing the most boring, mundane task, you still feel in a great mood.”

“I have to say I do agree with you on that one, I couldn’t have put it better myself. You’re a great role model for your fans you know.” We chuckled.

“Oh stop it,” we laughed again.

“So we have two more questions before I let you get back to your busy life. The first one is: ‘what is your advice on giving people second chances?”

“I have no idea where I got this from, I think it may have just come to me, but if you look at me twitter page this quote is on it: ‘Sometimes giving someone a second chance is like giving them another bullet for a gun pointed at you’. I always hear people say: ‘everyone deserves a second chance’, but to be honest, sometimes they don’t. The situation needs to be assessed thoroughly first before you make any choices, the most important thing in the matter should be you so trust your instincts and make a decision that way.”

“And to finish the meeting up on a lighter note, most of our listeners would know you and the 5SOS boys go way back, so the final fan question for today is: ‘if you were to date one of the 5SOS boys, who would it be?’” I sighed and leant back in my chair.

“That’s a toughie if I’m honest.”

“Process of elimination,” Scott suggested.

“Good idea, well Ashton and Lauren I have known for the longest and Ash and I are very close but he’s more like the brother I never had. Cal is the idiot best friend and I couldn’t see myself with Michael, our personalities would clash in that kind of situation plus he has Danielle.” I let out another sigh at the only option I had left. “And then there’s Luke.” Robb raised his eyebrows.

“Any elaborations?”

“Out of all the boys I could probably see myself with him the most but I don’t think that will happen, he’s a bit hung up over Gabrielle Aplin right now and I live the single life, so basically I can’t really give you a good answer to that question, sorry Robb.” He shrugged.

“It was perfect, all we needed. But that’s all we have time for today with Lily, it’s been a pleasure to speak to you today, thanks for answering all the questions we had for you.”

“Oh it’s been no problem, I enjoyed being here with you, thank you.”

“Well, until next time, that was Lily Underwood for you all. I’ll be back after her new single ‘brave’.” And we were off air. We shook hands, said our goodbye. I met a few fans outside and had photos and gave them my autograph and all that before meeting up with the boys at Luke’s. Calum and Ashton were sitting on the couch watching something on TV and I soon found out that Michael was with his girlfriend, Danielle, surprise, surprise, but the weirdest thing was when I was let in by Ash, Luke made eye contact for a split second before he got up and left for his room. I couldn’t help but think I had done something on and I didn’t like that thought.

“What’s up with him?” I asked the other two.

“He’s been in a weird mood ever since your interview. I think he’s a bit pissed off about something but don’t ask me what.” Cal told me.

“Should I go see if he’s ok?”

“Probably,” Ash nodded so I did as I had said. After kicking my shoes off and dumping my stuff on a table I crept down the hallway and knocked lightly on his door as I pushed it open. Luke was lying on his side, facing the wall away from me.

“Go away,” he mumbled but all I did was shut the door and moved over to the bed. I lay behind him in the spooning position, wrapping my arm around him and burying my face in his back.

“Lily?” he asked quietly.

“Yeah, it’s me Luke. What’s wrong?” I asked him.

“Nothing you need to worry about.” He responded.

“Luke, please tell me. The boys have said you have only been like this since my interview and I have a feeling it’s my fault, please tell me.” I felt him shake his head.

“It’s not your fault, I’m just being stupid.”

“Come on Luke, I won’t tell anyone.” He sighed and turned around in my grip.

“I just feel so controlled and that I just could have lost what I have wanted for a while because of it. Your interview just made me… think and uh, it put everything into perspective for me I guess you could say. It wasn’t your fault, nothing would ever be your fault.” He assured me, pushing some loose strands of my hair behind my ear. I rested my head against his chest and he wrapped his arm around me.

~Luke~

I couldn’t believe that Lily had said I was the person in the band she could most see herself with, it was like a dream come true. Or at least it was until she dropped the fact that I was ‘into’ Gabrielle and she liked living the single life and it would never work out. That sent my hopes in a downhill spiral. She drives me crazy, my head is always spinning around her. I wish I wasn’t under this stupid contract, but I don’t really have a choice.

“I have to ‘date’ her until the beginning of April,” I told Lily.

“That’s not too long,” she shrugged.

“Long enough, long enough to lose who I actually want to be with.” I mumbled more to myself.

“Lucas Hemmings! Tell me this gossip now, who has caught your eye?” She asked all excited, if only I could tell her.

“That’s confidential.” She pouted, making her look irresistible, I had to hold my ground though.

“Please Lukey?” She asked in a whisper.

“Fine… I won’t give too much away. I suppose the best way to describe her would be a very beautiful girl, she is oblivious to the interest boys take in her and she doesn’t have high self confidence in that area, I think. She is the nicest person I have ever met, so selfless, I wish I could be more like her. I guess it’s good that we’re different though, but then again I wouldn’t really know as I’m not as close to her as I should be. I just wish things were different…” I trailed off.

“You can’t not tell me who it is now!” she gave me a puppy dog face.

“But that’s exactly what I’m going to do though,” she sighed.

“I hope it all works out for you and your lucky lady in the end Luke.”

“Me too,” I added causing her to roll her eyes.

“Of course you do ya idiot!” I poked my tongue out at her as the door burst open.

“What are you guy- Whoa, that’s a bit kinky Lukey bud,” I brought my tongue back in my mouth shaking my head and burying my face in Lily’s hair.

“Ever heard of knocking?” I asked him and he responded with a chuckle.

“I'll let you get back to… whatever you two were doing.” Cal said with a wink. Lily sent him the bird and he snickered before he exited, pulling the door shut behind him.

“Well, that was embarrassing.” She laughed lightly.

“It is Cal, it’s pretty expected.” She nodded in my chest in agreement.

“I’m tired,” she complained. “Interviews are so annoying.”

“I know, Lil, I know. You can take a nap in here if you want.” She responded by yawning and snuggling in closer to me. I sighed lightly. She was in my arms now, just where I have always wanted her, but she still isn’t mine and now I’m stuck with someone else. It may not be for long but we are just starting to bond well now, I don’t really know what to do, band or her. Whoa, I’m jumping ahead of myself but that thought may have some relevance in the future, I just hope I never have to choose.

Lily was lightly snoring when I zoned back in and although I didn’t want to leave her, I wanted to get back to the boys. I slipped out from underneath her and replace myself with a pillow that she immediately pulled close to her, wrapping her limbs around it. She looked so angelic when she slept that I couldn’t resist taking a photo and uploading it to twitter before silently leaving the room, pulling the door closed.

When I entered the living room the boys made kissy faces at me and snickered. I rolled my eyes but had a wide smile plastered on my face, feeling like I had achieved something. I grabbed some snacks from the kitchen and Ash put on a movie.

About halfway through Lily appeared from my bedroom. She had taken her hair out of its bun and it was now framing her face beautifully. She pouted at me and crossed her arms across her chest. “You think you can replace yourself with a pillow?” I nodded guiltily. “Well then, I shall have to replace you.” I raised my eyebrows but felt a pang of jealousy as she sat down on Ashton’s lap beside me. He wrapped his arms around her and I glared at him, causing him to roll my eyes and me to crack a slight smile. Our attention was drawn back to the movie and everything was back to the way it used to be, Lily being closer to the others, and me being alone.

So this update wasn't as fast as I wanted but stilllll here ya go!
I don't really have much to say today but I think this is the perfect time for me to express my hate to the people who buy tickets for concerts and sell them for like so much more than they originally were. I can't get any 5SOS tickets cos of this and it's pissing me off greatly.... but apparently they are adding another show for Brissie so I can only hope and pray that they do and that I can get these tickets for me and my friends.
Anyways, I hope you like the update!
