Scary Films and Bedtimes

The way Lily glided so peacefully over the ice, laughing as she spun around; it made me fall over, multiple times. I couldn’t believe we had that conversation, even though it was short, it put me in an even better mood. Watching her was definitely worth the sore, wet bum, who am I kidding. I was snapped out of my daze by Calum.
“Oi, lover boy, what do you want to watch?” I flipped him off before taking the two movies from his hands to decide. Lily and Lauren had gone to change and get us some snacks while we chose the movie. Oh course Calum had picked a scary movie, we should never have trusted him. The two movies he handed me were Wolf Creek one and two, so much choice mate. These films were made about a place in Australia and I remember my mum always complaining about how the first one scared the shit out of her so god only knows what they have in store for us. I handed him back the first one and left the other lying on the table in case we wanted to be even more horrified after getting through the first movie “How was your little glimpse of alone time with Billy huh?” Calum asked, nudging me in the arm after we both took a seat on one of Lily’s couches.
I rolled my eyes at him before answering. “It was good, idiot.” Calum ruffled my hair.
“Don’t deny your love for her.” Michael cooed and I buried my face into the couch cushioning.
“You gotta make a move soon before management does something stupid or she finds someone else.”
“Too late,” I mumbled through the pillow but they caught it.
“WHAT!” Calum screeched, sounding like a teenage girl.
“He’s got to be rumoured to date that Gabrielle Aplin chick, management is having the whole meeting tomorrow.” Ash informed them.
“Dammit,” Calum cursed. “What are you gonna do mate?” He asked.
I shrugged my shoulders. “I’ll probably just continue acting like I have the past two years and it will all be fantastic and she can find someone good enough for her.” I said sitting up and showing my face. The boys all had sympathetic looks on their faces so I rolled my eyes and stood up. “I’m going to go see if they need any help.” They rolled their eyes simultaneously but nodded anyway.
When I got to the kitchen only Lauren was there. “Where’s Lil?” I asked curiously.
“She is in her room, she started the snacks while I got changed and now we’ve swapped rolls.” I nodded.
“Do you need any help?” I asked her and she shrugged.
“Go check with Billy, I don’t know what else she wants.” I nodded again and headed for her room.
I walked down the hallway to her room. The door was slightly open and I could see her reflection in her mirror. She makes my life so difficult sometimes I swear. She was stripped of her shirt and pants and the sight of her was mesmerising, she was undeniably beautiful and she didn’t even know. I probably shouldn’t have been standing there so when she bent over to pull on some other pants I snapped out of my daze, approaching the door and knocking slightly.
“Huh, come in,” She murmured through the door. I pushed open the door and was greeted with Lily pulling her shirt over her head. “Oh hey Luke,” she said slightly blushing after realising what state I had seen her in.
“Hey, Lauren and I were just wondering if there was anything else you wanted for food, she had everything you left out prepared.” Lily shrugged.
“Whatever you all feel like, I have my maltesers so I’m all good.” I nodded my head. “I’m pretty sure there are sufficient amounts of food out and if anyone wants anything else they can get off their lazy arses and get it. What movie are we watching?”
“Cal pulled out the two Wolf Creek movies.” I watched her visibly shudder at the mention.
“Trust him to do that. Anyway, we should get back out there before they do something stupid. We can’t trust them with anything.” I nodded and headed out the door, Lily close on my tail. The kitchen that had once been cluttered with our snacks was now completely empty and tidy so we headed out to the living room where there was a small portion of the couch left for me and Lily. Calum was on one end and he patted the spot next to him, gesturing for me to sit there. I rolled my eyes and plopped down there before quickly moving over to give Lil as much space as possible. She sat down way more elegantly than me and brought her legs beneath her. Calum got up to put the movie in and then decided to sit on the floor so I kicked him in the back.
“What? I just wanted to give you two more room.” He grinned and I rolled my eyes but only moved over ever so slightly. Lily smiled shyly at me before resting her head on the shoulder and it took everything in me not to jump at the action, this was so strange. I could feel my heart beating at a fast rate in my chest as I relaxed back slightly in the chair and put my arm around her, causing her to snuggle into me slightly. Cal turned around and wiggled his eyebrows at me so I flipped him off with the hand Lily couldn’t see before turning my attention to the movie that had begun to play as Michael flipped the lights off.
Okay, I’m just going to put it out there that that movie was horrifying. I am never, ever watching that shit again. The only good thing about it was that by the end of it, Lily was completely situated on my lap, my arms around her comfortingly and her face buried into me chest. She was shaking for most of the movie but calmed down when I rubbed her back soothingly. Even Calum looked freaked and didn’t even ask if we wanted to watch the next movie, instead he got up and walked onto her balcony, getting some fresh air. I let out a light chuckle shaking my head at his reaction to the movie he chose. This action caused Lily to finally move out of her position in my chest and look up at me, she blushed as she realised where she ended up during the movie and I smiled shyly at her, feeling my cheeks also heat slightly. God, why am I such a loser? She stretched slightly before resting her head back on my chest and yawning. It was raining outside and it was getting pretty late anyway and I was beginning to feel sleep calling.
“Tired?” I asked her in a whisper. She hummed in response. “Want me to carry you up to your room?” She shook her head.
“Stay here,” she murmured.
“Okay.” I kicked my legs up on the couch and we both shuffled around til I was lying on the couch and she was basically lying on top of me. To say my heart rate sky rocketed would be an understatement. Ash had turned the TV onto a kids channel and I slowly stroked her hair, watching the show. Soon enough we had both slipped off into an oblivion. The last thing I remember is Lauren throwing a blanket over us and mumbling a ‘goodnight’.

Early morning light shining in through the open curtains awoke me from my slumber. A comfortable, warm and somewhat safe figure was under me, their arms wrapped around my waist. This was a somewhat rare occurrence but it was something I could definitely get used to if only I could remember who I fell asleep on last night without actually opening my eyes. The sound of a camera snapping caused my eyes to snap open in a flash. Cal was trying to maintain his laughter and Lauren looked as if she had seen the most adorable puppies in the world. I looked the body to establish who I had in fact slept on last night and was mind blown when I saw the blonde hair that could only belong to Luke. He wasn’t awake yet and I didn’t want to be either so I nuzzled my face back into the spot it fit perfectly in his neck. Lauren audibly aww’d so I just buried my face in even further and pulled the blanket that was draped across us up.
Luke shifted slightly and I knew he was coming into a state of consciousness. He lightly rubbed his hands up my sides before he stretched them out. I looked up at him and blushed slightly while giving him a shy smile. He returned the gesture and wrapped his arms around me again.
“What time is it?” He asked in a groggy voice.
“Eight,” Calum quipped quickly.
“Six hours,” Luke said with a sigh. “Come get us in five and half so I can be at management on time now… shoo!” They both laughed but surprisingly left the room again. “Sleep well.”
“Mmmm,” I hummed. “Sorry for sleeping on you.” I apologised.
His chest vibrated from laughter. “It’s not a problem at all, you protected me from the scary guy from that movie! We wouldn’t want me dead now would we?” He joked. I fake sobbed into his chest.
“Life would be so hard without you,” I choked out and he rubbed my back.
“Now, now, I’m not going anywhere. I have you to protect me.”
“Super Lil’s to the rescue! If in doubt peace and pout!” It took both of us a few seconds to process what I had said but when it finally sunk in we were in fits of laughter. I was laughing so hard that I fell of the couch causing our laughing to cease and me to look around a bit before being overtaken in another fit.
“How-h-how the hell di-did you come u-up with that-that one?” Luke said in hysterics. After calming himself down he help me back up onto the couch where he was sitting, legs crossed. I joined in and stretched my legs across his lap.
“It’s part of my brilliance.” I joked whilst flipping my hair which I’m sure looked like a birds nest.
“Yes, yes it is. Are you hungry, I don’t really know where the others went but I’m pretty sure they left,” I nodded enthusiastically and he grinned. “Great let’s go get something.”
“Maccas?” I asked and he nodded.
“You know me too well.” I wanted to frown at that comment as I really didn’t know him as much as I thought was acceptable but I still kept a smile on my face.
“Alright well, let me just make myself slightly more presentable and we can go.” Luke gave me a confused look.
“You look fine,” he said genuinely causing me to look at him like he had three heads.
“Mate, you must be blind or just very kind because I bet I looked like someone who had returned from the dead, but thanks buddy. I’ll be back in less than five minutes, promise.” He nodded with a look on his face that I couldn’t quite decipher and I swear as I was leaving the room I heard him murmur: ‘Mate, buddy, that’s all I’ll ever be’ but then again I’m probably delusional. After breakfast, I dropped Luke back at his flat as he came with Cal yesterday so he could get ready to go to his meeting to get together with his new partner – sighs – and I went back to mine and began planning my book and just enjoying my own company. Lauren had come over as the other boys were with her and Ash and she had an assignment that she wanted to work on and they were being too loud for her to focus, and if I’m being honest it felt like old times, before I was famous when Lauren and I focussed way more on our studies than the boys and were always just doing our work, listening to music while they had their fun. But now there was also the fact that Luke was missing-in-action, finding out who he was going to be spoiling and loving. And no, please don’t ask, I have absolutely no clue why that bothered me but it did.

So I thought you guys deserved an update and I kinda told everyone on my other fanfic that I would so here y'all go!
So how are you guys going? Are you guys enjoying the story? What are your thoughts on Lil and Luke right now? What do you think is going to happen? I'm a curious person okay!

So depressed - Brissie show for 5SOS sold out in minutes so lets all cross our fingers and toes that they release another show here like the did for Sydney and Melbourne and that it's going to be a lot easier for me to get tickets than have to go through three pre-sale and general sale and not have any success! :( *sheds tears* *cries a river*
