Sarah's P.O.V
I saw something in his eyes when he told me I was his angel
I saw something in the way his pupils got bigger when he saw me in this hospital bed
the way he held my hands without even noticing
it made me think he was...
no, he was just a friend
"hey Sarah" a hoarse voice said at the door
bringing me out of my thoughts
"Sami" I smiled
"don't tell me you've been crying too" I sighed, I hated seeing the people I loved sad
"it's just that everything went to my head and I just.." her eyes got a bit teary
Niall noticed and held her
"it's okay, she's alright now, you don't need to worry" she wiped her eyes and smiled
"I love you" she murmured and kissed him
I smiled, I had never seen Sami so happy with anyone before
after a while it became awkward and I, unfortunately, had to interrupt
"guys" I said
Sami pulled away and blushed
"sorry" she said
after a while she left me alone to sleep
even though I was wide awake
I hate hospitals and I can't wait to get out of here

"wake up" I heard a voice
"what?" I asked a bit rudely
"aw come on, just because I cheated on you doesn't mean I don't love you"
my eyes opened and I saw that bastard there
smiling like an idiot
"what the hell do you want Dominic?" I wasn't gonna cry in front on this asshole
"you" he whispered
he grabbed my writs tightly and kissed me hard
I managed to bite his lower lip
hard
he pushed me back on the hospital bed roughly, making me hit my head with the board of the bed
"you little bitch" he growled and pinned me up against the wall
"let me go" I screamed
"shut up" he slapped me
"if you really loved me you wouldn't hurt me" I snapped
"then I guess I don't love you" he said, slapping me once again
"I swear I'll beat your ass if you don't leave me alone now" I growled
"oh really, and how do you manage to do that?" he mocked
my hands were pinned to the wall but my legs were free
I jerked my knee up to his balls and made my knee slam hard against his crotch
he fell to the floor, grabbing himself
I got up and ran then I heard a gunshot and someone was dead at my feet

"Sarah!" Zayn shook me awake from the horrible dream
"Zayn? w-what are you doing here?" I asked
"I wanted to be next to you while you slept" he said
"what were you dreaming about?" he asked
that worried look on his face made him look like a sad puppy
the thought made me smile
"it was just a nightmare, nothing big" I said
"you were crying and muttering all sorts of stuff" he said
I touched my cheeks and sure enough they were damp with tears
"it's just a dream" I said
"it's not real" I felt like I was talking more to myself than to him
"do you have these nightmares every night?" he asked with that sweet look of concern
"yeah" I said
there was silence and finally he said
"I promise I'll be with you every night, I don't like to see you cry and I won't let anything or anyone hurt you" I smiled at his words
so sweet and thought out
"thank you Zayn" I hugged him tightly
"I wish I could tell you I love you" he muttered
making me jerk back and look at him with wide eyes
"what?" he asked
"what you said, you said you loved me" he looked like he wanted to smack himself
"I thought it out loud" he groaned, sat down and buried his face in his hands
in that moment I felt something and thought
'what's happening inside of me? why do I have the sudden urge to kiss him?'
my thoughts must have taken over because next thing I knew I got out of the hospital bed and kneeled next to him
"Zayn" his name was like music to my ears
he looked up and I leaned in closer
until the door opened
