I wake up slowly, while the sunlight teases my eyelids to open up. Once I do, I turn my head to notice a beautiful man resting on his stomach in deep sleep. His long eyelashes cover his mesmerising eyes, his nose is a little scrunched up like an adorable rabbit, and his lips? God, I can’t even describe them. Those lips did so much action last night, and I can never find time to count the techniques they applied. His sculpted mouth is a little opened, while light snores leave it constantly. I reach my fingers into his shadow hair, while I run them smoothly over and over again.
He stirs after a minute, and changes his position to lie down on his back. I notice something that makes my eyes widen. A little beauty mark rests on his left ribcage, and for some unknown reason; I find it more attractive than the ink work. It’s like this is a signifier that belongs to him, and no one else; making him extra special from the rest. I sneak my index finger slowly, and poke it; as a grin grows over my mouth. “(He groans, still asleep) Mmm.” I want to laugh, but I directly prevent it by placing my hand over my mouth. If only he knew how much he is perfect, how much he is perfect for me…
As my mind dozes off into his beauty, a sudden knock startles me. I literally jump off the comfy mattress, and wrap my nude body with the bed sheet. “(He mumbles, as he rubs his left eye like a cute child) Babe? What’s wrong…?” He yawns, and I close his mouth directly, before he could be heard from the person outside.
“(I whisper in a worried expression) There’s someone at the door.” He nods, then kisses my inner palm before jumping up to grab his underwear and clothes. I snap my fingers, as he looks at me. I signal my index finger to the toilet, and he nods; tiptoeing to the inside. "(I whisper in a little humour) Nice butt.” He shakes his head as a smile draws on his face.
Once Zayn closes the bathroom’s door, I hold the bed sheet closer to my body, as I unlock the door. “Finally! A moment ago I thought you too are missing. Honey, did you see Zayn by any chance? Your sister seemed to have lost him since the early morning.” I shake my head directly, denying any suspicion that he slept over here, with me. “(I cough a little, granting myself time to think of an alibi) He came here, at 7:00 am I think. I was still asleep, but I think I remember he told me, that he is going to rent a car for his family members. They are arriving in an hour, right?”
I must admit that since I lie a lot for Zayn’s sake, I am getting good at inventing ones that are both believable and fast. “Oh, this is a relief. Yes, darling they should be here around that timing. All right I will leave you to get dressed. (She scans my body that’s wrapped in a bed sheet) Jan, since when do you enjoy sleeping without garments on you? (I try to think of another lie, but she shakes her head not caring) Anyway… We will be going to the Shanzelize so we could purchase some dresses for the rehearsal dinner tomorrow. Don’t be late; we will be waiting at the breakfast table downstairs.” I nod, just wanting my stepmom to go away; in order to sneak Zayn out.
Once she leaves, I lock the door twice, as I sigh in relief from the accomplished mission. Zayn unlocks his door, now fully dressed, and fake pouts at me.“You know I need to go and rent a car because of your little white lie?” I laugh as I swat his arm. “Your parents are going to arrive very soon, so please go right now before anyone else comes.” He nods, planting multiple kisses all over my face, making me laugh at his funny affection. “(I shoo him away playfully with my hand) Go, please.” He smacks his lips one more time with mine, and then rushes to the staircase, sending me a quick wink.
