…The Next Afternoon (At the Airport)…

Janelle's POV:

“May I?” Liam asks, staring at my bag to emphasise I should let him carry it (http://www.polyvore.com/goodbye_heartache/set?id=118163173&lid=3453986). I give him the stroller’s handle, as I walk beside him to the gate. “Honey, don’t you think that we should wait?” My stepmom asks, and I shrug. Why must we wait for the plane announcement? “I think we could enter without a further notice, mum.”
She nods, as the rest walk behind Liam and I. The two couples behind me, fire a jealousy stroke deep down. My stepparents are so loving and caring for each other, and for that I envy what they share. As for the fresh couple, I don’t envy them both; I envy Perrie because she’s the one that has my fairytale armour beside her.
…During the Travel (After Take Off)…
I rested my head a long while ago, on Liam’s shoulder. I was so sleepy, because I couldn’t find a moment of peace last night. All I thought of was seeing Zayn at the alter, while he slides the ring around Perrie’s finger. That moment, by itself, was enough to cause me a sleep disorder. A finger pokes my nose, as I open my eyes slowly. I look at the tiny person in front of me, as her golden hair is tied into pigtails.
I smile at the little infant, and she smiles back widely. “Janelle, this is Suzy. Suzy, this is Janelle.” Liam introduces me to the little girl on his lap, as I squeeze her puffy cheek. “(I look at Liam and ask him, while I remove my head from his shoulder) Where did you find her?” He smiles down at the little girl on his lap, as she claps her hand while Liam’s knee bounces her.
“She’s my nephew. I didn’t know that my aunt would be taking the same flight as us.” I scrunch my eyebrows at Liam; why would his aunt be coming to the wedding? I would understand if his parents are, but his aunt? “Was your aunt invited to the wedding?” He palms his head, making both Suzy and I laugh.
“No, you got it all wrong. My aunt lives in Paris and she was visiting here. I have my own place so I didn’t have time to know when was she exactly leaving. It turns out we are both on the same flight. Got it now, brainy?” I scoff playfully, and then nod. “Mate, do you mind switching seats with me for a while?” Zayn’s figure surprises us both, as he asks Liam in a pleading matter. “Actually, he does mind. Don’t you, Liam?” I answer rudely to Zayn, while Liam looks back and forth from Zayn to me.
“I asked Liam, not you. (He stares at me in a little anger, then glances at Liam again) Do you mind?” Liam shakes his head, as he lifts Suzy into his arms, and walks to the other seat where Perrie is fast asleep. I wave at Suzy, and send her an air kiss; making her giggle innocently, hiding her head in Liam’s shoulder. “May I get one too?” Zayn asks, now sitting beside me. I whisper back: “Stop doing this to yourself, and stop doing this to me. Zayn why can’t you understand that we can’t be together, and I don’t want you like this. This is practically an affair, you know that?”
He breathes, fanning his cinnamon breathe into my face. “No it’s not.” He crosses his arms over his chest, while I scoff. “It is so. (I beg) Please, just forget me and live what the future has planned for you. You are going to b-…” He lifts one palm up, and closes his eyes: “I heard it. I even memorised it, Elle.” He attempts to stand up so he can go back to his seat, but my hand stops him. My fingers tangle with his, as I lean it and place a soft kiss on it.
“I love you, but I can’t. as much as torturing as it is, it can’t be changed…” He nods slowly kissing my cheek with complete tender.“I was lost without you, when you left after college… and now when you decided to come back, I lost you; making me, yet again, feel lost.” He may have sounded a little confusing, but to me I got it perfectly.“I’ll always love you more than anyone.” I nod to his aching words, as our fingers play with each other.
