My Biggest Regret...

A new friend

Mr.Smith decided to let everyone pick what group they wanted to be in, then for fun make them sing a song they didn't know. They could listen to it online to get a feel for it but they had to sing it live to the rest of the class .
"Well, Penelope looks like your out of a group again." Mr. Smith said with sympathy.
"Yeah, I guess so, Mr.Smith." Penelope said it surprisingly upbeat.
"Alright, let's see what group will take you in," Mr.Smith said more upbeat.", CLASS ONCE AGAIN WE HAVE PENELOPE LEFT OVER! WHO WANTS TO TAKE HER IN?"
Penelope's ear drums were going to explode. She was standing by Mr.Smith who always yelled to get the class's attention. Penelope hated that he used the word again, it was correct though. It wasn't the first time that happened to her but she didn't like to emphasize it.
"WE WILL, MR.SMITH!" Carly yelled across the room.
"Oh, no! HELP ME! ANYONE BUT CARLY!" Penelope thought.
"THANK YOU CARLY!"
"WELCOME!" Carly replied.
When Penelope got to the group, she saw the song and it wasn't a duet or anything it was a solo. Mr. Smith had said they had to think and solve for who got what line. "I'll be the lead singer, you guys be the backups." Carly decided.
"But we all have to participate in the song and there isn't any backups for this song. I think we need to split the verses instead." Penelope suggested.
After some more arguing with Carly, they finally decided on Penelope's suggestion.
They all agreed to listen to the song for homework and put it together the next day.

Penelope was off to her next class, Home Ed. They were baking that day and Penelope realized there was a new student.
"Hi, I'm Penelope! I haven't seen you around before, are you new?" Penelope asked the brunette.
"Yeah, I'm new." She replied.
"Well, what's you name?"
"Teresa." Teresa replied.
"Well, I hope you have liked our school so far, Teresa." Penelope said as she sat next to her.
"You are really nice!" Teresa observed.
"Thank you, I try to be. I know it's not fun being the new kid." Penelope replied with a warm smile.

After class started Penelope got to know Teresa better.

"..So, maybe tomorrow you can sit with my friends and me for Lunch?" Penelope suggested.
"yeah, thanks! It was so awkward for me at lunch today...so thanks" Teresa said relieved.
"Yeah, no problem."

When the day ended for Penelope she went to look for her brother. He was a senior and Penelope was a sophomore. She found her brother messing around with his friends in the hallway.
"Hey, James! Time to go home!" Penelope yelled across the hallway.
James said bye to his friends and ran to meet Penelope. As they were walking down the hall a senior like James was walking down the hall as well. He was good looking with pricing blue eyes and light brown hair. He checked Penelope out and when James noticed this, he grabbed Penelope's hand. Then gave him a dirty look.
" You know you don't have to pretend to be my boyfriend when a guy checks me out!" Penelope told her brother when the other senior passed them.
"Yeah, well you're still too young for that guy." James said sternly.
"Do you know him? Who is he?" Penelope asked confused.
"Yeah, that was Adam Williams. You stay clear of that guy, you hear me?" James looked pissed off just saying his name.
Penelope turned around to see this Adam Williams and to her surprise he was looking back as well. He winked at her.Adam Williams winking at Penelope

Penelope's eyes got wide and she turned around.

"Don't look back! Gee, Penelope!" James said annoyed.
"Well I got curious...what did he do to you?" Penelope asked and let go of her brother's hand when they turned on a corner.
"Just, don't go flirting with this guy okay. Just take my word for it." James said.

The got out of the building and a black van was waiting for them with guys in suits. Penelope's friends joked around saying she looked like the daughter of the President with her secret service, really though they were just body guards.
"Hey, Charlie!" Penelope greeted one of the body guards.
"Hey, Penelope!" Charlie replied friendly.

When they got home they came home to a mansion.
"Home, sweet home!" Penelope said. She never did believe those words though. The place always felt empty, just her and James occasionally their step dad and mom would be home. It was Friday and that weekend they weren't spending it at their dad's place so, it was pretty boring and empty.
"Ms.Lefèvre a friend by the name of Teresa wants to talk to you, do you wish to talk to her?" One of the housekeeper asked as she knocked on her bedroom door which was open.
"Oh, please drop the whole miss thing just call me Pen or Penelope, whatever you wish." Penelope gave her a reassuring smile. She was a new employee of the Dotzler household.
Her name tag read: Tammy.
Tammy chuckled at her reply and waited for her answer of whether she wanted to talk or not.
"Oh, yeah, sure! I do want to talk to her! Thank you, Tammy!" Penelope took the house phone from Tammy and waved bye as she left her bedroom.

"Hello?" Penelope answered.
"Oh, hey, Pen-can I call you that? Or do you prefer Penelope better?" Teresa asked.
"I don't mind either one is fine with me...so what made wanna call me?" Penelope asked.
"Oh, well you've been really nice to me in school, while the people I met were jerks so I wanted to thank you," Teresa caught her breath and continued.", also since you're my only friend right now, I got One Direction tickets for this Saturday at 7 pm. I have two tickets, originally I was going with my friends back at home but they had something come up sooooo...do you want to go?"
"Sure! Who's One Direction again?" Penelope asked embarrassed
"You don't know who One Direction is?! Girl have you been living under a rock?"
"More like a mansion." Penelope murmured.
"Well, I'm sorry for the late notice I hope your folks don't mind." Teresa apologized.
"Yeah, they don't care. It's fine."
"Okay so do you wanna give me your address, so I can pick you up at 5."
"Wait, 5?! Isn't that a little too early?"
"Not right now! Tomorrow!"
"No I thought you meant tomorrow as well, but that's still 2 hours early."
"Trust me, Hon. Directioners will wait 2 days in advance for this boy band!" With that Teresa didn't need to argue anymore.
"Alright, my address is..."Penelope told her, her address and took out her laptop to look up this boy band.

A few hours after her mom called. "Hello? Penelope? Are you there? Hello?" An Australian accent came through the phone. "Hey, mum! Are you hearing me okay?"
"Am I seeing you today? What did you say?" The phone call sounded static.
"WHERE ARE YOU?!" Penelope asked.
"What I didn't hear you?! Are you in a tunnel?"
"NO! MOM! MOM! CALL ME LATER!" Penelope ended the call.

A few minutes later she received a text from her saying they would be home on Sunday and she had to pack her bags because she was taking her to New York for a photo shot.
"Why do I have to take a photo shot?!" Penelope thought. Her mom was a model and that was how she met her step dad. She was wearing his make up for the launching of his make up brand. That's how her step dad became a millionaire, and her mom had lots of money as well.

The next day around 5pm Penelope waited, sitting down on the steps of her front door. Finally on a beat up car Teresa arrived. "Whoa, Your house is huge. You also have security gate, they asked for my identification. They are giving it back right?" Teresa said to Penelope as she got in the car.
"Yeah, they will. Also can I see the tickets?" Penelope asked. Teresa handed her the two yellow tickets. Penelope saw that the tickets were for almost the back seats.
"Hey, so I called one of the buddies of my step dad who is in charge of the auditorium and what bands hold concerts there, he gave me vip passes-"
"VIP PASSES! I LOVE YOU! In a non homo way." Teresa interrupted.
"-Anyway, I thought you would want them since well, you seem to really like this boy band."
"Thank you so much, Pen!"
"Yeah, no problem." Penelope smiled.

"GOOD NIGHT Los Angeles!" Liam said as the band left the stage...
