Penelope at the cafeteria Megan at the cafeteria

Penelope was in the friend zone. All she knew about the friend zone is that it sucked.
She like this guy called Keith but clearly he just like her like a friend.

"So, we went and asked him if he liked you!" Megan told Penelope the news,
"You did what?!" Penelope freaked out.
"Well, don't worry if I recall correctly he said ' I like Penelope in a 'Just a Friend' sorta way.' So don't worry he just likes you like a friend!" Megan said .
"Which reminds me, you know that breast cancer thing going on? Well for the drama club to support it.... here we go! This was my idea okay...get ready...On Wednesdays, we wear pink! Isn't that a genius idea?!" Megan said very proudly.
"Yeah..." Nina said not too convinced
Penelope and Megan were best friends since she could remember, so she supported her friend on this even though it was a little dumb.
"SOOO Nina! How are you and Will doing?!" Megan asked.
Honestly Penelope didn't care much for gossip so instead she got up and went to throw away her food. As she was walking back to her friends table she heard the rich, snobby, popular girls squealing with excitement.
She just rolled her eyes and kept going.


"...well it was nice while it lasted." Nina said to Megan as Penelope sat down.
"Oh, Pen is back! Nina and Will broke up." Megan said cheerfully.
"Okay?," Penelope said.", are you okay with the break up, Nina?" Penelope asked with concern.
"Oh, I'm fine! He was just too clingy!" Nina said and started laughing.

The bell rung and it was time for them to go to their next class.
Penelope went to choir class. Two popular girls sat in front of her.
"So, What time does the concert start?"
"At 7 pm! OMG!! Aren't they just dreamy?!"
"SURE ARE!"
" I like Niall!"
"He's cute, but Harry is HOT!"
"Why cant they just be quiet?!" Penelope thought. Carly and Annie where talking nonstop about some boy band she barely knew existed.
"Oh, Penelope! Is your brother free this Friday?" Carly asked as she turned around to notice Penelope.
"How should I know? He is always going to parties and stuff...I can't keep up with him! You should ask him." Penelope replied.
"You know if you were to drop those losers you call friends you would be one of us, you would be going to parties just like your brother! Most of all You would be popular!"Carly told Penelope.
"Quit tempting me you Devil!" Penelope thought.
"I think I'm gonna pass that opportunity. Thank you for your concern though." Penelope said respectfully.
"Oh, isn't she just too nice! Always giving charity to the unfortunate!" Annie told Carly ignoring Penelope like before.
"I'm Not giving Charity to Megan and Nina if that's what your hinting at! They are good friends of mine!" Penelope said now upset at Annie's remark.
"ALRIGHT, SETTLE IN EVERYONE! TODAY WE ARE GOING TO..." The teacher Mr. Smith began class.
