**YEAR 2011**

[Alex's P.O.V]

Come on show them what your worth" I sang the chorus of Katy Perry's "Firework" while I wait for my turn to audition.

I was really nervous right now!! I think my fingernails will be gone by the time I get called.

"Maybe you should stop eating your fingernails, Alex." My brother said

I said my thoughts to loudly, oops.

"You did it again, dear " My mother laughed.

"Okay I'll stop thinking." I said

"Do you guys think, I could do it," I asked them.

"Yes, we do, we believe in and maybe you should too, but no worries Alex you'll do fine and we love." My mother said as she hugged me.

I just smiled at her.

"Alexandria Pratt!!" a man shouted.

OH MY!NERVOUS!

"GO for it Alex!" My brother Justin said.

I stepped at the stage where I saw four people sitting in the table afar from me and I think they were the judges.

They were Louis Walsh, Kelly Rowland, Cheryl Cole, and Simon. OMG the Simon Cowel was right in front of me.

"Hello love what's your name?" Louis asked.

"Alexandria Pratt, Alex for short." I said.

"Oh are you amrican?" Kelly asked.

"Yeah I just moved here for work and decided I wanted to auditioned." I said.

"Ok what are you going to sing?" Simon asked.

"Firework, by Katy Perry"I said

"OK good luck." Cheryl said.

I started the lyrics when the song bursted.

***after song***

I sang the last lyric and I got standing ovation from the judges.

"That was absolutely splendid." Louis said, while he clapped.

"Thank you." I said

"Why did you choose this song?" Simon asked.

"I choose this because the song explains that we need to believe in ourselves so that our dreams will come true." I explained.

The audience 'awwed' and clapped for what I had said.

"Well, you were wonderful, and I loved the way you sang it, so I say YES!" Louis said.

"Thank you so much" I said.

"YES!" Kelly said.

"Yes!" Cheryl said.

"Well I'm going to agree with these three, so YES!" Simon said.

"OH MY GOD! Thank you so much, GOD BLESS Y'ALL" I cried.

I waved my hand bye, and went backstage.
