"Kaia! Holy crap! Are you okay?"
Niall's voice echoed in my head, making my ears tingle. I didn't even know if this was a daydream or not considering it how hot it was and the fact I was pretty sure I had just passed out. I slowly opened my eyes, squinting as a bright burst of sunlight hit me in the face. He stood over me with a concerned frown on his face.
"K, what happened?"
I had to think about it for a minute. What had happened? Oh.
"Where were you?" I said, still waking up.
"I was just trying to find a good place to pee and I got lost. You looked so peaceful lying there, I didn't want to wake you up," he replied.
I felt like an idiot as I struggled to sit up. I had stressed out over a trip to the toilet? Why was I suddenly so needy?
"Help me...help me stand up," I muttered.
He reached out a hand and I took it, leaning on him in case I lost my balance again.
"Well, it's okay, I'm here now," he smiled, giving me an affectionate bear hug, "we should probably head home now though, you know, before your parents start to worry,"
I didn't want to go home. This had been really fun.
"Oh...yeah. Okay,"
On the bright side, we could do this all again soon because that's what couples do. They make plans to see each other. Well, at least from what I'd heard.
He helped me into the front passenger seat and shut my door for me. I wondered what my Mum would say, what she would do, when she saw me rock up in a nice looking car with a nice looking boy. Honestly, I was nervous to see her reaction. Hopefully, she would be happy for me and bombard me with questions about who he was, and how the date went. The alternative was, that she would be pissed off that I spent the night with him, and ground me for life. He grabbed my right hand with his free one, and placed it on his knee. I glanced at him and smiled. The silence that had occupied the air around us, wasn't at all awkward. In fact if I hadn't of been so exhausted from sleeping on the ground, I would've been a chatterbox the whole car ride home.
"What are you thinking about?" I asked.
He grinned as he stared straight ahead at the road.
"You,"
I blushed bright red.
"Smooth," I laughed, "real smooth. How many girls have you used that line on?" I teased.
He chuckled nervously.
"Actually...this would be the first time,"
