A Day Out
Lizzie's POV:
I was sitting at the kitchen table when I heard a pair of feet softly walking across the floor towards the kitchen. I look up to see Danielle, in Niall’s clothes, walk into the kitchen.
“Do you want something to eat,” I say softly as she takes a seat across from me at the table. “I might get something to eat later,” she whispers. “Well if I’m not mistaken, you do have a wedding to attend today. More importantly, your wedding,” I add. She yawns and just slumps onto the table, a tired look in her eyes.
“Let’s start with some breakfast and then you, the rest of the girls, and I are going to get out of the house and celebrate your last day of being single,” I tell Danielle as I grab a bagel and throw it in the toaster. She just nods as I hand her a glass of orange juice and her bagel.
I was sitting in the back of the car with Danielle and Rachael as Austinn and Abby sang along, loudly, to the radio as it blasted through the car.
Austinn pulled the car into the mall parking lot with a loud screech and we all piled out of the car, heading towards the rows of shops that made up the mall. “Let’s go in here,” Abby calls as she drags us in.
The store is full of beach–style clothing, and skater style clothing.
I quickly head back to the skater section and start grabbing some cute stuff off the racks.
I soon have a full pile of clothes in my arms and I head towards the fitting rooms where the rest of the girls are having a “clothing party.”
“Hey Lizzie,” Abby says as she stands before me in a cute black beach dress. “Do you like it,” she says as she gives a quick twirl. “It’s cute,” I reply as I set my clothes down on a bench in an open fitting room.
45 minutes later, we are all walking out of the store with an outfit. “Where to next,” Danielle asks as we head further into the mall.
“Let’s go get something to eat and then we have to head back. We don’t want to be late for the wedding,” Rachael chimes in. “Can we go find a Nandos or something,” Danielle asks as we start walking towards the food court. “You sure are Niall’s girl,” I laugh. She hits me lightly in the arm as she walks up to a Nandos and orders a load of food.
“Why so much food,” Abby asks as Danielle comes back and sits down. “I’m eating for three people and Austinn is eating for two. There is nothing like too much food in that case,” she responds, like it’s totally obvious.
I look down at my phone and see that I have a text from Zayn.
Zayn: Hey babe, we are just coming home from the club. When will you be home?
Me: We should be home in about 45 minutes. Did you guys tell Niall about Danielle having twins yet?
Zayn: Nope. We left that completely up to Danielle.
Me: Good. We are just finishing up eating. See you when we get home.
Zayn: Ok, love you Liz. See you soon.
I shut my phone off and finish my food. This was probably going to be the last time that I have peace for the rest of the day, because after this, there’s Danielle’s wedding.
Austinn pulls the car into the driveway and we grab all the shopping bags, walking inside to find the boys watching a football game on the couch.
I pull Danielle aside and whisper to her, “Are you going to tell Niall about the twins?” I asked her.
"Not yet Liz. I want the time to be right and I can't see him today... remember bad luck." she said to me.
She swiftly walked past the living room where the boys were and up to I'm guessing her room with Rachel.
After a while of handing out with Dani and everyone upstairs it was time to head out to the venue to get ready for their wedding in 5 hours.
I walked downstairs and saw the boys still in the living room and per Dani's wishes she wanted to keep tradition and not see him before the wedding so I grabbed a pillow and hit the nearest guy in the head... Nial... with the pillow.
"Ow!" Niall said rubbing the back of his head.
“It’s a pillow dofus,” I shout as I head into the kitchen. “Unless you don’t feel like attending, your own wedding, you better start getting ready. Dani is waiting to leave but she didn't want to break tradition by you seeing her so would you guys kindly be the first to leave. Oh and don't forget your suits.” I finish as I head up the stairs to find the girls and tell them it was clear.
