Chapter 21: I'll live.
Niall’s POV
My hand was throbbing when Harry got me a bag of ice to put on it. He led me back to the table where Sage sat with red eyes. I couldn’t even look at her without wanting to punch Zayn again.
“Are you okay?” She sniffled moving closer to me.
“Yea.” I shrugged looking down at her. “I’m sorry you had to find out like that.”
“It’s okay, I’m glad I found out.” She was lying but I knew that I shouldn’t push her too much right now.
I couldn’t think of any words to say to her so I wrapped my arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer to me. She looked at me and smiled slightly before kissing my cheek.
“Are you guys okay?” Liam asked in an angry tone.
“Yea, we’re fine.” She mumbled out.
“Good, we need to get you to a hospital.” He looked at me.
“Okay.” I knew I couldn’t fight him on it so I just went willingly.
“Where’s Zayn?” Harry asked helping me out of the booth.
“Already in a cab on the way back to the hotel.” We all knew Liam was pissed and it was worse when Zayn was brought up.
“Can we just go, I’m ready to be done with today?” I really didn’t want to share a room with him tonight.
Sage’s POV
Niall walked out with a red cast on his right hand. Harry and I stood up from the uncomfortable waiting room chairs and walked toward him and Liam.
“Are you okay?” I asked protectively.
“Yea, I just broke 2 bones.” He shrugged like it was nothing.
“I’m tired, can we go?” Liam was extremely impatient even hours after the incident.
“Sure.” Harry led the way to the car while I walked next to Niall.
“You can sleep in our room, I’ll share a bed with one of you tonight.” I didn’t even want to think about what would happen if they shared a room tonight.
“Thanks.” He mumbled climbing into the backseat.
We road back to the hotel with the music up loud enough to drown out any of our anger that was lingering. Niall was completely relaxed and comfortable but Liam was still fuming. None of us knew how to deal with it because we’d never seen him this angry. When we got back to the hotel, we found Louis sitting on the floor outside of his and Liam’s room.
“Are you okay?” He jumped up quickly and looked at Niall’s hand.
“I broke a couple bones, I’ll live.” I didn’t understand how he could be so casual about it.
“Oh.” Louis looked defeated when he looked at me. “And you?”
“I’m fine.” I shrugged pulling out our room key.
“Okay. So, where’s everyone sleeping?” He asked looking around.
“Niall’s sleeping in our room on one of the beds, Harry will take the other and I’ll share the one that’s more comfortable.” I answered his question as fast as possible so this conversation could end.
“Oh.” Louis looked concerned but didn’t say anything.
“Okay, night.” Liam walked to his room without looking at us.
“I’ll be in there in a minute.” I handed the key to Harry and stepped aside with Louis. “Are you okay?”
“I feel bad because I left you guys after all of that.” He answered weakly after Harry and Niall were in our room. “ I didn’t want to go with him but I had to, I’m sorry.”
“Louis, you’re fine. I get it, if you wouldn’t have gone with him I would have. You didn’t do anything wrong.” I grabbed his hand making him look at me. “Get some sleep Lou, tomorrow’s going to be a long day.”
“Okay.” He smiled weakly and pulled me into a hug. “I love you Sage.”
“I love you too Louis.” I whispered as he let go of me. “Goodnight.”
“Night.” He walked away to him room and I did the same.
