--Forever Young--

I found a bench a little ways away from the party. The lake was beautiful. It was surrounded by tall green trees. You could see the moon's reflection skittered across the clear lake. I could hear the party clearly because of the way sound traveled across the lake. I sat there for a while while i watched everyone dance and laugh.
I was pretty sure Alex was here, but she was probably hanging out with her other friends and I didn't want to bother her. She would probably text me in a little while.
I spotted Harry grinding with some girl.. but.. it looked like he was looking right at me. I saw him push the girl off of him and go to get to beers. The girl was left behind looking confused and angry.
After a couple minutes he appeared behind the thick green trees.
"Hey, there you are. Why are you hiding?" he asked.
"Not hiding.. Just taking a break."
He looked across the lake for a little ending our conversation. He looked over at me and then shoved a beer in my direction:
"Oh here." He paused, "So-"
I interrupted him, "Thanks"
He continued, "So I take it parties aren't your kind of thing?" He looked at me waiting for my response.
"No not really. I mean depending on who I'm with it could possibly be fun." I thought about Jason and Alex. But I continued, "Why are you talking to me? Shouldn't you be over there?" I nodded towards the party and people.
He nodded, staring into his beer cup, "I suppose, but-", he looked up at me smirking, "Only if you come.
I laughed, "Very funny, but parties aren't my thing."
"You said yourself, that it depends on who you're with."
I stared at him for a second trying to think of what to say. Finally I said, "I didn't mean you!!"
Harry didn't look hurt, he looked amused. "How do you know if you've never tried?" He replied pulling me up by my hand and spinning me around. We stared into each other's eyes. Neither of us knew what to do.
I shook out of his grip. "You wanna go first and I'll wait 30 seconds?" I jokingly asked, referring to the last party I went to.. when Harry drove me.
"Ahhh she jokes!" He said laughing. We walked back to the party together. For some weird reason I was kind of enjoying myself joking with Harry and laughing.
He motioned for me to come dance with him. There was no way I was grinding with Harry. But he did something different- He pulled me in so that we were face to face. Hmm... that was different. But then he did something reminding me that he was just some douche bag trying to get into girls' pants; he started grinding with another girl.. still staring right at me.
What the hell was his problem? It was like when we were together alone, he was actually a decent person, but as soon as we were around people he was his usual self again.
I turned to go find a new spot to sit. I walked for a few seconds.
I heard a car pull up behind me, but I didn't take much notice. Until i heard that familiar voice.
He tugged on my arm, "Elena, where are you going beautiful?" he said.
Jason.
"I was just going for a walk, to um kinda clear my head." I replied.
He chuckled to himself, "You've never been much of a party person. Who brought you? Alex?" he asked.
I wish
"No um, it was Harry Styles." I said.
He looked confused and then kind of upset, "Sweetheart, stay away from him, ok?"
I glanced over to the party, Harry was no longer dancing.
"Yeah, um ok." I said.
I heard footsteps approaching, "And why should she do that?" a sexy raspy voice said.
Shit. No Harry isn't sexy.
"She shouldn't be hanging out with douche bags like you." He stepped towards Harry.. completely towering over him. Without another word, he turned to me, wrapping his arm around my shoulders, pulling me towards his car, "C'mon hun, let's get you home before you get in trouble with your parents."
I was relieved to be getting out of here. As we passed Harry, he grabbed Jason's arm and threw it off me.
He said, "She'll hang out with whoever she wants to prick."
He leaned in towards me, as he leaned in, butterflies filled my body.
He whispered in my ear, "I'll see you later, baby" as he spoke his warm breath felt like ecstasy, sending tingles all over my neck... causing my cheeks to turn a deep shade of red.
He smirked at what he had done to me and then gave me a sexy wink.
Jason pulled me by my waist this time. I immediately felt secure and.. safe with Jason. Something that Harry didn't make me feel. Jason took me to his car. He opened the door for me and helped me slide into the passenger seat of his mustang. He was such a gentleman. He went around to his side and stepped in.
He put the key in the ignition, but didn't turn the car on. He had one hand on the steering wheel and he was leaning over placing the other hand other they key. He looked over at me.
He removed both hands and cupped my face; it felt like he was about to kiss me, but he looked worried.
he spoke gently, just inches away from my face, "Please Elena, pretty girl. Stay away form him. Okay love?"
I nodded and pulled away from his hands, gave him a smile, and then looked out my windwo for the remainder of the ride home, thinking,
Jason was so gentle.. so
