Lizzie's POV

I felt the car come to a halt but I kept my concentration on my lap until the door which I sat next to was opened, Mr. Cowell held his hand out but I remained hesitant for a second or two before gratefully taking it.

"Now, we're going to get straight into it, no beating around the bush." He knelt down before me, I had a feeling everyone is going to do that- treat me like a dwarf.

"These boys need a publicity stunt, know what that is?" I nodded meekly even though I had no idea what-so-ever, I was seven.

"Some people are gossiping about them, they need something positive, something to make this gossip more... Pleasant, if you like. That's where you come in my dear." He straightened up and wiped his suit then continued to walk.

"You see, out first idea was a charity. Then we came to our senses and realised that charities are over used and more importantly: Overlooked. We needed something that would really hit people in the gut. An adoption." He didn't look at me when he spoke, he kept walking around the outskirts if the large house we's been driven to "You and these boys need to preform for these people, make them believe it wasn't for publicity- It was because they care, right?"

"Right." I confirmed quietly. He clapped his hands.

"Brilliant, Olivia!" He called loudly, a girl emerged from the doors of the house and approached us "This is El... El...Eleanor"

"Elisabeth." I peep, trying my hardest not to scrunch my nose.

"Right, Elisabeth," he sneered at me, clearly not keen on my correction. "this is Elisabeth. Olivia, I'm going to have to ask you to look after her, that shan't be a problem will it?"

"No sir," She followed him with her eyes as he walked away, visibly relaxing with each step.

"Well, Elizabeth, I'm Olivia. Shall we go?" She smiled.

"You can call me Ellie, if you like." I looked at my feet as I tried to hint discreetly.

"Ellie it is." She winked.

"Agh!" Voices cheered and yelled, Olivia led us both inside through the wooden doors revealing something I most definitely wasn't prepared for.

"Die!" a guy yelped as he was struck with water that had been shot from a water gun.

"Adios sucker!"

I was horrified to say the least - I'd barely been there a few minutes and I was already planning an escape route.

I heard Olivia sigh loudly, I looked up and watched her being her whistle to her lips. She blew the whistle hard and stunned the wild boys.

"Alright Nanny McFee!" One laughed and squirted her with the gun, she gasped and screwed up her face.

"Louis you moron, run!" One panicked and ducked behind a sofa, as did the rest. Olivia stomped her way over to a water gun on the floor and then into what seemed to be a kitchen where she filled the gun with freezing water. She chased after the mischievous lads and aimed at them once she'd cornered them by a wall.

"Here's me trying to look professional and you're all acting like buffoons in front of Ellie." She huffed.

"Uh, 'scuse me cupcake, you're younger than me by a year." A curly haired guy laughed "And since when are you professional?"

"Since Ellie, the adoption kid Simon planned for...?" She groaned.

"That's her?" One gasped, they all looked around Olivia and towards me.

"Zayn! We're back, we got--" Three girls stopped in the door way "The heck! We left this looking like a house not a damn water park!" A blonde gasped.

"You guys really don't grow up." Another shook her head "Who's this?" She cooed and knelt down- Again, the dwarf treatment.

"Hi, I'm Elisabeth." I spoke in a light voice

"Damn, I don't like little kids being prettier than me, bummer."

"Dani, Perrie, El... This is the one Simon was planning." Olivia spoke in a hushed tone.

"Oh..."

Hello, Megan again. I didn't know how to write this... I guess it's hard for me to imagine being adopted because I've never been in a situation like that before. I think it might have been a small case of writers block, I've had it for my stories too. Sorry about the delay, I promise it will get better through time xo
