It all started at StarBucks

I sat down across from the childish womanizing player. Listening to him spill. I'm believing him now. Well starting to. He seems to have this way of making me believe anything that comes out of his mouth. I sit criss cross from him as he does the same. And he explains. He asks me questions. I answer them. He listens to them carefully. He tells me what happened. I nod understanding. He tells me that he knows. That my mom told him. I understand. I understand why she told him. He knows what has happened to me. He knows now. He still doesn't understand why I am the way I am. Look at me. I have tattoos, purple hair, piercing. Slutty clothes. This is who I am I guess. My dad made me lose respect for anyone. I learned not trust a lot of people. Only the ones I'm closest to. Nate and my mom. They're the only ones who seem to us wearable what I went through because they went through it to. By the same person. I was beat the most. I'm scared. I never had good friends. In fact I never even really had friends. I learned how to live on my own. To be independent. I learned what happens when you get close to the wrong people. I saw what happens when you did get close to the wrong people. They will hurt you. They will make you fall for them. And then not catch you. I know what that looks like. I know a guys charm a little to well. I know how they think. How they react. How they act. How they speak. Inside jokes? I see through them to. I'm smarter than most people give me credit for. I never got a life other kids got. I got the life no kid ever wanted. I learned not be greedy. To behave properly otherwise I would be beat. I never got to wear shorts, short shirts. My hair was never colored. I never thought I would be like this 7 years ago. In fact I would have thought it was completely insane to look like this. But look now. I look like this. Nobody deserves to go through what I grew up with. I'm not asking for anyone to feel sorry for me because I'm doing the opposite. There's one thing I'm good at. Being sad and depressed. I grew up in that environment. There were times I didn't go outside for a whole week. I didn't get food because my mom was to weak to cook for us. My dad never cared for me. My dad would probably think I was just another hook up right now if he took a look at me. Instead of realizing I was his daughter. I don't remember one time he was ever nice to me. There would days I hear screaming and yelling for hours. I wouldn't get enough sleep with my dad gone. When he was in prison I got a little more hope back. My mom worked hard for me and my brother. It was hard for a long time. I wore shoes that were to small for me and clothes that were to small for me because my dad would take her money that she would have used for food and me and Nate's clothes and buy drugs and beer with it. Making us completely helpless. And the clothes I did get. Were cheap quality. I lived in a old bad house. The roof leaked in my room. I just had a bad life. I was pulled out of my thoughts when Harry said "are you ok?" "What?" "Your crying" I am? I touched my cheeks and sure enough I was. "Ya, I'm okay. And you?" "Don't be foolish. What's wrong?" "Why would you want to know?" "Look Amber I'm trying to be friends. I've never been friends with a girl before so please cut me some slack and tell me. Ill listen" "my dad" "it's alright. He won't find you. And if he does he can't touch you. He can't hurt you." "Yes he can" "not if I'm here" "Harry it doesn't matter if your here or not. He will still hurt me. Anyway he can. Don't you get it? He's mad, angry, furious, pissed! HARRY HE'S GOING TO FIND US AGAIN!!" "Shhh it'll be alright. He won't. I promise you if he does find you. He won't touch you." I didn't say anything but looked down. Harry said "because once you add fire to fire it causes more fire and more until the water doesn't bring it down anymore." I understood what he meant. I'm the fire and if I keep adding to myself he won't be able to put me down. He won't be able to touch me. He won't be able to hurt me if I stay strong. If I grow stronger he won't be able to defeat me. I will fight the fight I was born to win. And I will win. I will ambush him when he's not excepting it and he will become a puppet and I'm the controller. Harry lifted my chin and looked into my eyes and said "ok? Trust me. Let me in let me knock your walls down and ill be there. I won't leave I promise" for some reason I believed him. I don't need to. I need to tell him goodbye and handle this battle on my own. Holmes Chapel is about to get a lot more interesting. I stood up. I know what I need to do. I walked to my room and grabbed my phone off the charger. I walked back down and walked over to the door. Harry asked me "where are you going?" "I need to get enrolled" he smiled and said " ok let's go" grabbing his jacket we both walked out. I saw the school from here. I started walking down the sidewalk. Harry walking beside me. "So I take it your going to school?" "Yup on by the way where's Nate?" "I took him to school this morning" "thank u" "welcome" "wait your being nice not flirting" "don't except it everyday." "I already know not to except it. In fact I'm wanting for it to go away and the annoying flirty Harry to come back" he laughed and said "I don't know why I am that way I just am. It comes natural for me" "ok then." "Describe me right now" "ok? Tolerable, pretty eyes, pretty hair, I'm a sucker for guys with tattoos and piercings I don't know it just makes me like them more" "you like me?" "Far from it" we both laughed "ill let that go since I walked into that one myself" I smiled. I like this type of Harry. I could see myself being friends with him. We were getting closer and closer to the school I could see people outside. Must be lunch. "Well great time to introduce you to everybody" "what?" "It's lunch" "knew it!!" "Your so weird" "you know you like it!" "Ya actually I do" I laughed and said "hurry up I wanna get this over with!" "I'm coming I'm coming god women!!" We walked into the school. Kids were whispering and staring at me. Harry said "there going to say stuff because your by me. Don't listen to them ok?" I nodded. He said so anyways what do u like to do?" "Well I like to shop" he chuckled. "Normal girl" "yup pretty much" "ok we are fought brought a big cafeteria they are going to stare. It's going to make you uncomfortable. Don't show it though." I nodded. We walked in in the open and all eyes were on us. He said "name one embarrassing thing that has happened to you" "well It was 3 years ago. I was going to school for the first time and I saw this really cute boy and I was getting out of the car and I was wearing a dress. I got out and the boy said hi to me and I shut the door on my dress and my mom took off. It ripped it" Harry burst out laughing. "Ok ok that's enough your turn" "when I 13 same as you I was at school and my friends put my lunch tray in my seat and I didn't realize it and I sat down." We both laughed that time. I looked over and saw everybody talking whispering pointing and looking over at us two. Harry said "don't let them see you nervous look at me" I did and he said "don't let them see that your nervous they'll use that to their advantage." I nodded. And I heard one guy say "GET IT HAZ!!" Harry flipped him off and put a hand on the bottom of back and said "walk faster" I did and said "ok there's going to be people coming up to us, just stay by me. You might get lost because the hallways are pretty vicious" I nodded. We got to the office and these really pretty cheerleaders came in, making me insecure. But then I remembered I have one thing that every girl wanted. Harry. He was talking to the office lady and she smiled when I came up to the desk beside him. He put arm around my waist and whispered in my ear "those cheerleaders are staring at you, there jealous of you" I shook my head and he chuckled "yes they are. I'm the Harry Styles, I don't show affection of friendship for any girl and I am for you" I smiled. "Well it feels nice to be friends with someone" the lady handed me some papers and we both turned around. The girls looked at me confused and with hatred. Harry said "girls girls don't be jealous. Just because she's better than you don't mean you have to be jealous" I burst out laughing so did he. We walked out laughing. "That wasn't nice Harry!" He smiled and said "well I'm not exactly the nicest person only to the people who deserve it" "wait wha..-" "and I'm nice to you" "are you sure you just don't feel sorry for me because if h are just walk away right now I don't need to be friends with those type of people" "I'm not anywhere honey. I know your story now" I saw His friends walk up to his. Zayn and the blond one gave me dirty looks and a glare and the rest well they were thinking about nasty shit. That's how easily I can read a guys mind. I hid behind Harry a little where he could put a arm in front of me. Zayn said "hey mate you coming to that party tonight?" "Nah ill pass" "does it have something to do with that piece of hotness" the tall brown headed blue eyes one said eyeing me. Harry growled lowly and said "No. You won't touch her. You won't talk to her unless I'm near her. You hear me. You stay away from her Louis" "Haz what has gotten into you?!" The blonde one said. "Just stay away from her" the one named Louis walked past me and pinched my bum. I jumped. Harry turned around and knocked him down. The one with blonde hair I think his name is Niall said "let's go you don't need to see this" I nodded and he led me down the hallway. Then suddenly I was pressed against a wall. I saw Niall and Zayn staring at me. Niall slapped me. I whimpered. He said "I don't like you. In fact I would say that your no good for Harry. And once you get used to this school he will leave you like the trash you are." He put a hand on my throat and started to choke me. I left my air supply start to being to shorten. When he was tackled. I fell down on my hands and knees. I was picked up and carried out. I saw a bunch of people staring. I got sat down on a bench and they knelt down. "Are you ok?" "Fuck you!" It was Harry. I stood up. I was angry. I walked back in the school. The hallways were full. "Where's my paper?" He handed them to me. I was walking fast. I heard Harry say "wait! Amber!!" I turned around and said "don't wait amber me! Your friends are jerks this whole school is filled with bitches and assholes!!!" "I'm sorry" everybody gasped. Does he not say sorry or something?! He touched my wrist. I yanked it back and said "don't touch me" and then I walked off. Everybody moved out of the way when the saw me but I soon knew the reason soon enough when somebody lifted me up and threw me over their shoulders. I hit their back. It was Louis. I cried out for help. He was going to try and rape me! "HELP!! HELP!!" He walked outside and we walked into a field. God I'm going to die. Just kill me. A bunch of kids ran outside. He threw me down on the ground. I backed up and the kids made a circle around us. Fun he's going to beat me.


* Harry's POV*

Dammit. The guys always have to interfere. I'm in the office right now and I looked out the window and saw a circle of teenagers like me probably a fight. I looked closer and then realized where is Amber? Oh my god. No. They wouldn't. I have to make sure. I said the stupid teacher "ill come back I promise just let me check that out" "no" "please I'm begging you!" They looked at me and then finally said "fine come right back" I nodded and jumped out of my seat and out the doors. I ran out towards them. I heard them chant "FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!" I pushed through the people to see who was fighting who. I made it to circle and was shocked and scared for who I saw in the middle. She won't be able to stand up to him. I heard a person say "oh shit Harry's here Louis' going to get his arse kicked!" "Did you hear about how Harry turned on his own friend for her?" "I saw the whole thing Louis' going to get his arse kicked more!" Great they already know! I stepped into the circle of people and said "Louis I said to stay away from her!" He turned around and smirked. "I don't like to follow rules when there's a bitch I want to shag" "it isn't a shag when she doesn't want it retard" everybody went "ohh!" "You just need to mind your own damn business Harry" "funny because she is my fucking business!! Now we can either fight or I can get her and we can go back to normal" "your not having her!" "That isn't your decision, it's hers!" I walked over to her watching Louis and I helped her up


* Ambers POV *


Harry came in the circle and got involved. Thank you god! Harry came over to me. Grabbed me and put me behind him protectively. Him and Louis trash talked each other for a while until he said "lets go back inside" I nodded and we all walked back inside. He led us to the office and I said " what?" "I got in trouble" "don't surprise me where am I suppose to go now!!?" He patted the seat next to him and said "right here!" I pouted but sat next to him. I got out my phone and played on it until I heard a teacher come in. "You must be Amber?" I looked up and said "yes" "did Harry get you into trouble I'm terribly sorry if he did I can get you out of dentition if he did" "no I'm not in trouble I'm here for him. He actually got me out of trouble" "what? Harry? Him right over there? Helped you?" "Yes his stupid friends!!" He chuckled and said "sorry for not picking good enough friends for you to like Amber" I glared at him. After a while the teacher left and I said "we don't tell my mom or brother what went on today" "ok" "why did Louis come after me like that?" "I don't know. There's going to be a lot of other guys that do that now" "why?" "Because you see I don't have friends well I do but none of them are girls. I just well I don't know how to put it in nice word form for you so ill say this one night stand and then I ditch them. And the guys think we aren't friends and we just a fling for the day or something" I nodded understanding. "So what I'm getting at is that your reputation is being ruined by talking to me?" "No not mine but yours is" "why?" "Ok let's out it this way. I'm popular, I'm scary, I'm not afraid of anybody. Your not popular yet, your not scary... At all, and you are afraid of everybody and when your talking to me. Nobody wants to talk to you so your popularity goes down, your scary rate goes up a lot though because as everybody knows now I touched one of 'my men' over you. And apparently that's a big deal for someone who doesn't have friends that are girls. But your still afraid of everybody. Your scary only because you know me and your friends with me." "Oh, well now what?" "Make as many friends as you can is all I got to say. Find a group of people that will protect you from anybody. Because I'm more than likely not going to be around much because I usually get suspended." I nodded that's a scary thought. Not having Harry around me to help me is a scary thought. A searing thought.

"Ok your free to go Styles" he stood up and left. I checked my phone and saw that it was 2:55 pm. Shit. "Harry?" "Ya?" "We need to go" "why?" "Nate" "shit come on hurry up!!" We basically ran to his school panting for breath and laughing. We got there at 3:00 which that's when they let the kids go so perfect timing. We went into the school and waited. I hid behind Harry basically. Nate saw Harry and yelled "HARRY!!" He ran over to him and gave him a big hug. Harry said "I got a surprise for you" "what is it!! What is it!!?" He moved out of the way and Nate came running up to me. I haven't seen him in 3 days. He knocked me over by hugging me. I laughed. He said "I missed you" "I missed you to. Want some ice cream?" He nodded. Harry held out his hand out and I took it and got up. I picked up Nate and said "come on let's go home then we will go get ice cream." We all walked to my house and I said to Harry "you going like that?" He looked down. He was dirty. "No hold on let me get cleaned up" "ok and if you want invite your family ill invite my mom" he nodded. Me and Nate went into our house. I sat down the papers on the table and went into the kitchen. My mom was in there. She turned around and instantly saw my throat and my face and how dirty I was. "Where is that boy?" "Who?" "Harry" I knew she was mad. "At his house" she started walking to the door. I said "where are you going?" "His fucking house nobody is going to touch my daughter like that!!" "It wasn't him" "sit down" she pointed to the couch. I obeyed and sat down. She said "ok now what happened" "I woke up. He was here. We talked. Then I decided to get enrolled so we went to the school. His friends came up to him and started talking to him. He said no to one of his friends party invitation and they asked if it was because of me. He told them no and to stay away from me. One pinched my butt Harry basically attacked him. Two others took me away and the. Pinned me and started choking me. Harry tackled them and got me out of the school. I was mad and confused so I went off and went back inside. Harry tried to apologize but I walked off. His friend that pinched me threw me over his shoulder and went into a field. Harry got dentition for the first time and was in the office. And he finally got to come out where a circle of kids were and I was in the middle with his friend. They almost fought but he got me out of there and we spent the rest of the day in dentition then we went to Nate's school and got him and we decided to get ice cream and here we are now so do u want to get ice cream with us. I'm pretty sure his families coming with us?" She smiled and said "he's being good. And ya let me go get dressed" I nodded and she went to her room and I went to mine. When your running and going through all that stuff I went through today it gets hot. So I changed into jean shorts and a pink crop top. I ran my fingers through my hair and put it in a high pony tail. I changed my shoes to sandals. I felt so much better in that. I walked downstairs where my mom was wearing jeans and a t shirt. She was so pretty. And so was my brother. I walked outside and over to Harry's house. I was about to knock when his sister opened the door pulling me frowning and then saying "go upstairs" "ok?" I climbed the stairs. I went down the hall and saw a door, i knocked on it and Harry opened it. He smiled. "Ello!" "You guys are weird, your sister sent me up here she didn't seem happy" "she is, she just saw this" he placed his hand on my cheek and then placed a hand on my neck. "Oh us my mom was about to murder you when she saw" he looked nervous. "She talked to you didn't she?" "Ya this morning my family's coming we have something to announce there" "ok" "let's go" we both walked down the stairs and Nate and my mother were already waiting. They all looked at us with big smiles. Harry mumbled "well looks they all know now" "except me" "yup that makes it even weirder" "agreed" I said "who's riding with who and who's driving what?" My mom and Anne said "we will ride with Nate and Gemma" Harry said "where are we suppose to sit?!?" I closed my eyes and said "no ill drive my car by MYSELF" Harry caught on soon enough and said "really people?!" They all laughed and then left the house. Harry said "come on you can ride with me" "I'd rather die" "stop being such a whiny ass and just come on" "jerk" "fatty" "dip shit" "bitch" "asshole...-" "LET'S GO!!!!" "coming mum!!" Harry shouted. We walked outside and they all were already in the car. Waiting. Harry said "let's go, there going to stare at us until we do" I nodded and got into Harry's car. It was nice. I buckled up and said "hurry up Harry!" "I'm going I'm going!!" "Where's the nearest ice cream shop?" "London" "ok let's go then!" "Ok let me tell my mum" I nodded. He sent a quick text and then we pulled out. We passed them and they all waved like maniacs. I hid my face and said "I feel sorry for Nate, he has to be around girls" "if he were here you'd be the only girl" "sure" and then he drove off.
