Take My Hand

Raquel's POV

We made our way into the park hands intertwined. I started to get used to the feel of his large hand around my smaller one, but just because this became a casaulity whenever we were together, it didn't mean that my nerves didn't jump and the feel of his warm skin, against my cold skin.

" So since we have this whole place to ourselves, where to first?"

" lets go there!" I said pointing to a ride with the sign reading, " Storm Surge," it looked pretty new and had a huge drop, i loved drops,the feeling of excitement that shot through my body right before you reached the top of the ride, the only way down, well was down. We made our way to the front of the line. I guess that was a huge perk avoiding the hour long lines. Now we were sitting in the seats in the front row and as much as i loved being only here with Harry and as much as i loved rides, it was a bit creepy to be on the ride just us two. Once again it was like Harry had read my mind because he asked me,

" Nervous?"

" No, well yeah i guess a bit, but just because its only us two on the ride."

" Don't worry babe, i won't let anything happen to you," he said taking my hand, and suddenly i wasn't nervous anymore, as cheesy as that sounds, he made all of my nerves just wash away, replaced by the butterflies of my stomach, but not butterflies because of this ride, it was a good kind, it was the feeling he gave me, and no one has ever made me feel this way. And i mean no one. The ride started moving now, thanks to the girl standing by the machine operator, but he eyes were burning holes in the back of my skull. I mean apparently she must've been a fan of Harry's and assumed we were dating because of the gossip columns. I mean I saw the pictures and i guess we did look like a couple. And I swear i heard a snap coming from her camera phone, but i couldn't turn around being that i was secured in the ride. Or I hope i was secured, i mean who knows how crazy his fans where, so i double checked it as we were going up. I haven't realized we were at the top, before we plummeted down the steep track. Screams filling my ears coming from Harry and from my own. I looked over to him, and he was just smiling at me. Our hands and eyes interlocked a smile on both our faces. I could get used to that smile. Now we were going through the loops the ups and downs.It was an amazing feeling these rides gave me, but after a minute it was over. We were back at the begging, the girl still shooting glares at me, but i just smiled at her. No one can ruin my mood right now, with Harry looking at me smiling, knowing I was the reason for him smile and he was the reason for mine. But suddenly my stomach rumbled, i hoped Harry didn't hear it but of course he did, because he started giggling and so did i out of embarrassment.

" You know you almost made me forget about food and thats a big deal." I decided to make a joke out of the situation.

" Yeah i heard.." he said between laughs" lets get you fed." And once again we were walking holding hands. I just have to get something. So we split up for a few minutes I went to the bathroom and he got whatever he needed. I stepped out of the bathroom and there he was with a basket in his hands. We walked over to eating area, but he directed me away from the empty food stands.

" I prepared something instead, he's a secret about me, I love to cook." He said gesturing to the basket, then i realized he prepared a picnic. How adorable .

" Good maybe you'll teach me one day I'm shit at cooking."

" One day, hmm, see i told you you'll be begging for another date, and i thought it would at least be halfway through the day."

" Oh shush Styles, or ill take back my offer of a possibility." Now we were standing by the grass, he took a blanket out of the top of the basket and spread it across the grass. And we both sat down, he then emptied the contents of the baskets. He took out a few containers, and began to open them. Oh shit, i thought to myself as i realized what was in the containers.

" Okay so we got, deli sandwiches, chicken nuggets, fries, salad-" I guess i had a look on my face. " What whats the matter, whats wrong?" He asked me

" Umm nothing its fine, its just I'm a vegetarian." Than I saw it the panic in his eyes, " but don't worry ill eat the salad its fine." I said trying to get him to relax, because he looked fidgety.

" No its not fine, you're starving and I'm an idiot, Raquel I'm so sorry."

" Harry seriously don't worry it would be the first time something like this happened, how were you supposed to know i don't eat meat." I said and i guess we were both feeling guilty, me for being a vegetarian and him for feeling as if he ruined the date.

" But today was supposed to be perfect and I've fucked it up."

" No Harry don't say that you haven't ruined it one bit, today so far is perfect and will continue to be, just seriously its okay."

Harry's POV

She was buying it. Obviously i knew she was vegetarian, i was just trying to make her sweat it. I decided to get a guaranteed second date of this.

" No its not okay,"

" What can i do to show you its fine?" She asked me, she had a pang of guilt in her voice, I mean i hated taking advantage, but i mean it wouldn't be me forcing another date onto her, she said it herself so far her day had been perfect, and so has mine.

" Well I'm going to take you on another date, to the best vegetarian restaurant in all of London, let me do that to make up for today."

" Harry but you don't understand," She started once again, " You know what fine, ill let you take me." She said, and i wiped the puppy dog look from off my face, and replaced it with a huge grin.

"Okay i feel better now" I said while reaching into the basket, pulling out a few more containers,

" but you didn't let me finish, i also have mini pizzas, peanut butter sandwiches and i grilled some tofu for the salad." I said with a cheeky smile on my face. She just looked at me astounded." Raquel i wanted this day to go perfect, you didn't think I knew that you were a vegetarian, Elle told me, there was no way this date was going to awry.

" You cheeky bastard," Oh she knew now, that i used her guilt, to get another date.

" what?" I asked with an innocent look on my face.

" You knew i was vegetarian, pretended only to bring meat, when you had dairy, and even tofu in that basket, and used my guilt to get a second date?"

" I have no idea what your going on about" I said with a smirk on my face.

" You know if i wasn't so impressed with your methods, i would just leave now and cancel that send date." She said with a smirk matching mine on her face.

" Please, your happy i made you promise into going on another date with me, so now you don't have to beg to see me again." The smirk still on my face.

" Styles, don't push your luck, and eat your food." she said before picking up a mini pizza and stuffing into my mouth. I was a little hesitant in picking up a deli sandwich. " its okay you can eat that, people eat meat in front of me all the time, its okay." And after she said that I took a bite into it. Now we were both at ease, enjoying the food and the occasional breeze in the air.

I have never have been so at peace, just enjoying the day, living in the moment and just admiring the beautiful woman in front of me.
