Jordan
"I'm going to ask her after dinner," I said to Lauren. I was lunchtime.
"Do you think she'll tell you?" Lauren asked.
"I hope so. I can't make her, but my Dad can persuade her."
"Okay." She plopped down on her bed and opened Wattpad. It was Fan Fiction time. I sat at my desk and lifted the screen of my MacBook Air. I quickly typed in the link to my favorite fan fiction website, www.onedirectionfanfiction.org (Hey! You're reading there right now! It must be your favorite too!)
I clicked on my story Say Something and began working on the forty second chapter. It was a tragic story about a girl who got cancer and her dying wish was to meet the boys. One thing you need to know about my fan fictions is that I write insanely long chapters. It was nearing the second hour of writing for me and reading for Lauren, when someone quietly entered the room. I assumed it was my parents or my siblings, but when he began reading it out loud I knew it wasn't my parents.
"Katie pushed her wheelchair down the stairs. Immediately she fell on the floor and screamed. 'I can't do this anymore.' Then she pulled herself down the stairs. When she hit the bottom, she blacked out." Liam read.
"BOYS! GET OUT! I'M TRYING TO READ!" Lauren screamed.
"You call that a book?" Louis smirked.
"And I'm trying to write!" I crossed my arms.
"Fan fiction? Niall Jordan is writing fan fiction about you!" Louis laughed.
I covered my face with my hands and quickly submitted the chapter before logging out.
"Princess! What is this?" Niall asked.
"Yeah Princess what is it?" Zayn laughed.
I glared at him. "It's not about me. It's a story and you five just happen to be in it and it just so happens that I post it on a fan fiction website."
"But it's not fan fiction?" Harry jokingly confirmed.
"Don't you have a song to write?" I snapped.
Niall laughed. "Good one, Princess. And for the record, I think it's cute."
"Aww, thanks, Ni!"
"Well, we came to tell you to put on a bathing suit and come outside. You mother's orders," Liam spoke up.
"Okay, thanks Li. We'll do that as soon as you five get out," Lauren replied.
"Actually, I think I'll stay," Harry smiled cheekily. "What about you Niall?"
Niall laughed. "Yeah, I'm game!"
I slapped him with my black bandeau bikini top. "Get out," I said whilst laughing.
"I'll be waiting just outside the door if you need me, Kitten," Harry flashed another trademark grin.
"You pervert," Lauren said, but she was laughing.
Lauren and I quickly changed and ran outside to meet the boys and our siblings.
"Cannonball!" Lauren yelled as she jumped off the dock.
I screamed after her as I dove into the cold water. The seven boys and my sister soon followed.
"Who wants to have a race?" I sing songed.
Lauren groaned. The others seemed up to it though. My brother and sister had grown up swimming as well, but they did other sports, so they weren't as dedicated.
"Okay, we'll go from the dock around the green buoy and back. Got it?" Paige stated.
Everyone gave a form of affirmation before Carson started us.
"Swimmers take your mark. Hup!" He screamed before pushing off the dock.
Even without goggles and a cap, I led the procession with Paige and Carson hot on my trail. They were the only ones who could compete with me, but I was still no match for them. Sure, they'd beat me in any other sport, but this one was mine. All mine. Just the way I liked it.
Less than a minute later, I returned to the dock. Zayn, Harry, and Niall were just reaching the buoy. Liam and Louis had just passed it, and Lauren and Nick would finish right after Carson and Paige.
Four minutes later, everyone had finished.
"Who won?" Harry asked skeptically.
Lauren, Nick, Paige, and Carson burst out laughing.
"Who do you think, Harry?" Paige smirked.
"Oh. That was a stupid question. But just to make sure, it was Jordan right?" Haz clarified.
"Yes, Hazzah," Lauren smiled at him.
"Anyone want to race again?" I joked.
"Sure, just let me go get some floatees this time," Zayn said sarcastically.
"How'd you race if you can't swim?" Carson asked.
"I pulled him," Liam laughed.
Almost immediately after Liam spoke, I heard the butler, Edward, calling to us.
"Jordan, Paige, Carson, Lauren and Nick, your presence is needed inside," Edward called.
"Okay, thanks Edward. Boys, you can keep swimming if you'd like. We'll be back as soon as we can," I smiled and walked away with my siblings, Lauren, and Nick.
I threw on the denim shorts I was using as a cover-up and Lauren and Paige did the same. Carson and Nick didn't bother putting on shirts, but they did dry themselves off a little with towels.
"I wonder why they need us," Nick said.
"Maybe it's that secret guest they were talking about," Paige guessed.
"Yeah, that's probably what it is," Carson said.
We didn't know it then, but a few minutes later, we discovered ourselves to be correct.
"Children, our special guests will be here in half an hour. I need you all to be dressed somewhat nicely and Jordan if you could play some mood music, that would be lovely. Paige, if you want to get out your violin, that would be wonderful! Boys, make yourselves useful. Lauren, electric guitar would sound wonderful if it's not too rock sounding," Mom commanded.
I spoke up, "Wait, did you say special guests, plural?"
"Yes, I did. Did I forget to mention two people are coming?" she asked innocently.
"YES!" I said dramatically.
"Yeah, I was under the impression it was one person," Lauren chimed in.
"Yeah, me too," Paige said.
"You never clarify," Carson mumbled.
Mom gave him a stern look. "I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that. Now, go put some clothes on. I do not want our guests seeing you in wet bathing suits!"
Why was she so formal all the time? It got a little annoying sometimes. When I was younger I really liked it, but now, it was a bit too much.
The five of us scurried upstairs to our rooms.
"Hey, Jordan, what do you think about this dress?" Lauren asked holding up a green paisley dress.
"I love it! What do you think about mine?" I brightened showing her my red floral dress.
"Beautiful!" She smiled.
We quickly braided our hair since it was wet and we had no time to shower. Paige and our brothers emerged at almost the same time.
"Are we prepared to entertain our guests for the evening?" I asked, all prim and proper.
"I should think so. I picked up my violin and made sure it was tuned," Paige giggled.
Carson and Nick were both wearing khakis and polos, something I didn't normally see them in. Paige was wearing a strapless tribal maxi dress that was absolutely stunning. As we began walking, I saw Nick slide his arm around her waist.
Lauren, Carson and I were behind them so I pointed and giggled. Lauren and I both thought they were a cute couple and we had always hoped they would get married so we could be sister-in-laws. Well, kind of. We were already like sisters, except we got along.

Notes

okay so i don't actually write anything called say something but it was funny because it started playing on pandora while i was writing this. coincidence? I think not.
