Losing Nala

TALIA'S POV

Lindsay hugged me as I bawled on the couch.

"Tal, it's gonna be okay. There is a small chance that it's an infection." Lindsay tried to comfort me.

"How am I gonna tell everybody. My dad, my niece, my family?" I cried.

"All we can do is spend time with her and make every moment great with her." She whispered.

"I'm scared." I admitted.

"Hun, that's ok. I understand. Remember when Kali my cat died in 8th grade. It made me stronger. I had to keep my head up and that's what you have to do too." She said.

"Thanks." I smiled.

"Well the doctors told me that you have an appointment on Monday." She said.

"That place is hell!" I screamed.

"It's ok. Talia, let's go for a walk. Nala is sleeping." She said dragging me outside. I took in a breath of fresh air.

As we strolled past Harry's house he was exiting his car and he noticed me even though I was hoping he wouldn't.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah. Fine." I responded.

"Obviously not." He said.

"You were right about her. She's got... c...cancer." I stuttered quietly.

"I'm so sorry. If you need someone to talk to or you need to get your mind off of things call me." He smiled sympathetically before rushing off to a group of 4 boys who entered his house.

"Hey let's go home now and blast 5SOS, Little Mix, and Ed Sheeran." Lindsay said.

"I'm so glad to have you." I smiled.

"You'll always have me." She said wrapping her arm around my shoulder.
