Overworked

Maddie’s P.O.V
“Maddie, honey, you need to get up.” Harry told me, getting out of bed. I sighed and got out of bed too, putting on my clothes. I had breakfast and a coffee and went to the ground. I got there and went inside, to the changing rooms and put my training kit on. We all went out and trained and then we were told the team line-up. I was in the starting XI again. We went out and were welcomed with claps and cheers from the crowd. As we got into our positions and the whistle was blown, we ran towards the ball, I got hold of it and passed to Katie, we stormed towards the goal but were pushed back by the opposition’s two defenders. When it got to around 20 minutes, Toya got a goal, putting us 1-0 up.
The game finished 2-1 to us. I didn’t score but I provided the cross for the second goal. We went back into the changing rooms and I put my normal clothes on. I did my post-match interview and then got into my car. I decided to go to the store after to get some food because we don’t have much. I walked around Walmart for about an hour getting all of the things we needed and went to pay. I saw a few magazines near the registers saying about my newly announced 8 month tour and started loading my shopping onto the belt. The cashier scanned it all through and I paid for it on my card and bagged it up. I put it back into the cart and went to my car to unload it. I put the cart back and got into my car. My phone went off and I looked at it.

I smiled because he’s bothered and replied.

At Walmart, be back in 15 x
I sent the text and put my phone down in the centre console. I drove home listening to the radio and about halfway home the news came on.
“Pop star Maddie Styles has recently announced a huge 8 month tour commencing in a few months. The singer announced the tour on her Twitter page after revealing that her new album, the title hasn’t been disclosed, will be out next month. There has been speculation that this one will be her last after her husband finished his singing career quite recently but no one really knows with Maddie Styles.” I laughed and turned it over. I got back and drove into the garage. When I opened the door, Charlie ran to me and started barking.
“Ssh,” I tried to get him to be quiet. He listened and sat down in front of me. I walked into the kitchen with some of the shopping and went back out to my car to get the rest. Once my car was fully unloaded, I locked it and shut the door leading to the garage. Harry came downstairs and helped me unpack the shopping and then started eating some biscuits. “Aren’t you tryna be healthy?” I raised my eyebrows at him.
“I’ll just work out.” He shrugged and I shook my head. He always says he’s going to be healthy and when that fails he turns to working out like twice a week, it’s not gonna help him much. “Plus, not all of us can be twigs like you and only eat healthy food.” He said and sat down at the breakfast bar.
“Sorry for wanting to look after my body.” I held a hand up and carried on packing the shopping away. When I was finished, I went down to the twins and played with their dollies for a while. I don’t have to go into the studio tonight, thank god. I’m so tired, I just want to sleep. We had dinner and then I put the twins to bed. After the twins were in bed I decided it was time for me to go to sleep too. I’m exhausted. I went up to mine and Harry’s bedroom, had a shower and got into bed. I fell asleep straight away. I have so much more recording to do.
Harry’s P.O.V
I went upstairs and saw Maddie asleep. She needs the sleep. She hasn’t slept properly for ages. All this album stuff as well as soccer and her business and then the kids on the top is really taking a toll on her sleep. She’s not getting any. I sat down on the bed next to her and went on Twitter. There was a link to an article so I clicked on it.
“Maddie Styles looked fit in her workout clothes at training for her soccer team, California Girls, the other day. The pop star signed a soccer contract a few weeks ago and has already made 3 appearances for the popular club. She took her and Harry’s twins, Amelia and Freya to training with her and spent the day with her fellow team mates. The mum of 5 looked in high spirits as she trained. Later in the day, she rushed off to the recording studio to record another track on her album and didn’t return home to her multi-million dollar house until 4am.”
I find it really funny how they have nothing better to do than follow people around. Of course she’d be in high spirits; she’s living her dream again. She’s wanted to carry on playing soccer since she was 18 and quit so for her to be given the opportunity again was amazing to her. Maybe I don’t want her to do it but I don’t really have a say. It’s her life and if she wants to do it, she will. She won’t refrain from telling me it’s her life either. I know she wants to get as much out of her life as she can and I won’t stop her from doing that. I want my girl to be happy and that’s all that really matters. I’m in love with this girl and what she wants, she can get. I love her so much and I am so lucky to have someone as amazing as Maddie. I have no idea how I got so lucky, but someone up there obviously wanted to give me an angel, and that’s what they did when they gave me Maddie. I still can’t believe I got her. She is beautiful, talented and amazing and I have no clue how I managed to keep her. I know I lost her a few times along the way but there is no way I’m letting her go again. She is my wife and will be until the end of our days.
