Overworked

I went inside and the house was still as much of a mess as it was when I left. Harry was watching TV with his feet up on the coffee table and I went over and moved them off of it. “Did you do anything useful today?” I asked him.
“I walked Charlie, and I did some thinking.” He said. Basically nothing then.
“About?”
“Us,” He replied.
“And?”
“I’ll tell you later when the kids aren’t around.” He told me.
“I’m working tonight Harry.” I sighed and went upstairs to get the kids washing. I took it all down to the utility room and separated it out into colours. I put a load on and started ironing what had already been washed. The twins went to play downstairs and Lis went to her room.
“I was thinking…” Harry appeared in front of me. “We should have another baby.” He suggested.
“No. Not now.” I gave my answer and went back to ironing.
“Why not?”
“Because you’re not taking anything into consideration, I play soccer now, if I get pregnant and play, I could lose the baby. Plus, I have a massive tour coming up. I can’t just drop everything. Life is hard enough as it is with 5 kids.” I told him, ruling out his idea totally.
“You said about a year and a half ago, in a couple of years, we can have more. It’s basically been a couple of years. The twins are nearly 2. C’mon Maddie. I know you want to.”
“Why would you think that?”
“Because I, urm, don’t worry.” He started to walk off.
“Harry Edward Styles get your ass back here now and explain to me why you think I would want another baby right now.” I ordered and he came back.
“I heard you talking to Eleanor. You said you want another one. You even thought you might be pregnant.” He said.
“I can’t believe you listened to my conversation. But I’m not pregnant. I checked.” I answered.
“And you didn’t tell me?”
“Because I knew you’d be like this. You want more kids, fine, we’ll have more kids, but this is not the right time Harry. When I finish my tour, then I’ll think about it, but at the moment, no.” I ended the conversation and finished the ironing. The washing machine went off so I put the clean washing out to dry and another load in. I cleaned the kitchen and Brooklyn and Adam got home.
“What would you think of a new baby?” Harry asked them.
“Shut up Harry. It’s not happening.” I shouted from the kitchen.
“Not for another few years, I still haven’t gotten used to the twins.” Adam said.
“Exactly Harry. The kids don’t want it either.” I said and finished the housework and moved onto making dinner. By the time they were all eating, it was time for me to get ready and go to work. I ran upstairs and put on jeans and a random jumper. I said goodnight to them all and went and got back into my Range Rover.
Harry’s P.O.V
I really want another baby but Maddie just ruled the idea out totally. I was happy with 3 and then Maddie said she wanted another one so we had the twins. I’d do it for her so why won’t she do it for me? It’s just so annoying. I really really want another baby. I want a little boy that I can do stuff with. Adam’s 12 now and he’s just sitting in his room all the time. It’s so boring. I want another son and I want it now.
Maddie’s P.O.V
There are so many reasons why I don’t want another baby and so many reasons why I do. It would be cool but I just can’t see it happening anytime soon. I have an 8 month tour coming up and that’s my priority. Also, I have to help get the soccer club out of this rubbish league. I promised them that and that’s what I’ll do. I’ve got a match in a few days so I’ll be trying my best with that. My life is a nightmare as it is, there’s no way I’m getting pregnant at the moment. I pulled into the parking lot of the studio and jumped out of my car running inside because there were fans waiting. They literally know my every move. I got inside and took my sunglasses off, going further in. I found Isabelle and she led me to the room that we’d be in. I was given a song to record and I did, which took about an hour to get the lyrics right without reading the sheet and then it was changed completely because it ‘didn’t sound good enough’. I spent about 4 hours listening to changes and getting used to them. When I looked at my phone it was 2am and I knew there was no way I was leaving anytime soon so I went to get a coffee to stop yawning. When I got back they were finished changing the lyrics and were just changing the music to fit them. When I finally left the studio it was 4am. That was a lot later than I expected. The sun was starting to rise as I drove home. What’s even the point of going to sleep now? I got home and went inside, making Charlie bark. “Ssshh,” I bent down to stroke him which calmed him down. Then I went into the kitchen and made myself another coffee. I drank it and felt awake again so had a shower and got changed. When I’d finished that it was 5am so I decided to take Charlie for a walk. I walked him for around an hour and went back to the house. I got back and Harry was sitting in the kitchen.
“You never came to bed last night…” He turned to me.
“I was at the studio until 4am. I decided there was no point trying to sleep so had a shower, got changed and then took Charlie for a walk. Sorry baby. I love you.” I took Charlie off of his leash and kissed Harry.
“4am? What the hell did you do? You left at like 7.”
“They decided to change the song completely and I didn’t leave until I knew it properly and how to play it on the guitar.” I explained.
“Have you got to go in tonight too?” He asked. I nodded and got a cereal bar out of the cupboard. “Just get some sleep tonight; you’ve got a match tomorrow.”
“I will Haz, don’t worry.” I told him.
“Good.” He kissed me and Lis came downstairs.
“What are you doing up honey?” I asked, eating my cereal bar.
“I woke up and heard you talking so decided to come down here,” she told me. I nodded and kissed her head.
“Come on; let’s get you ready for school.” I said taking her back upstairs. I got her ready and then had to take them all to school and go to work. “I’ll take Amelia and Freya to nursery on the way,” I told Harry. He agreed and went upstairs. I put all the children into the car and dropped the twins off first, then Brooke and Adam and finally Lis before going to work. I got there, got my paperwork and went into my office. I did all the usual emails and then had a meeting with a client. The receptionist, Wendy, because Jules finally got on my nerves, brought her in and I started talking business. “So, you want us to design a clothing range for your shop?” I questioned.
“Not the business, you, you’re the best designer around Maddie. Our clothes would sell so much better if our customers knew they’d been designed by you, just look at the outfits you wear, they’re gorgeous and I would love to have my shop’s clothes designed by THE Maddie Styles.” She said.
“Thanks, but I think it’s more my fan base that makes me one of the best designers around.” I replied.
“Please, we’ll pay you loads, just please design a clothing range for us.” She basically begged.
“I don’t care about money, but sure, yeah.” I pencilled in a few more meetings in my diary and then she left. I finished all my work for the day and got home at around 6. The kids were eating and I made myself a quick dinner and got ready to go to the studio. I was at the studio until midnight and left then, so I’d actually get some sleep tonight. I got home and went to bed, falling asleep straight away.
