Overworked

Maddie’s P.O.V
“Maddie, come on,” Isabelle tried to pull me out of bed. I groaned and got up and then sorted out my hair. “Are you going to tell me why you turned up at my hotel room in the middle of the night?”
“I shouted and swore at Brooklyn, Luke tried to make me feel better when I went into the bedroom, then Harry came in and goes: “I don’t know why you’re being sympathetic to her Luke. She just shouted and swore at her daughter not only making her cry, but making everyone else think she’s a complete bitch.”” I mimicked.
“Right, so that’s why your phones been going off all night?” She asked and I looked at it. 50 missed calls and 20 texts. I unlocked it and saw 19 texts from Harry and 1 from Eleanor. I looked at Eleanor’s first. –We don’t think you’re a bitch, none of us, you’re stressed, we get that. Harry shouldn’t have said what he said x-
I sighed and then looked at Harry’s. ­–I’m sorry,- -I shouldn’t have said that- -Please come back- -I love you- -Where are you?- -Just tell me where you are,- -Please Maddie- -Don’t get drunk- -Come back- -I need you- -I’m really sorry- -Madeline Aimee Styles, I love you so much, please come back- -At least let me know you’re safe- -Just a dot will do- -Anything- -Please- -I love you- -No one thinks you’re a bitch- -Everyone thinks I’m a dick. Just please come back Maddie.- I sighed and texted him.

Stop worrying, I’m still in the hotel, I’ll be back in 10.
I sent it and sorted myself out and then said goodbye to Isabelle and went back to the room. I opened the door and Brooklyn was sitting on the couch watching TV. “I’m so sorry I shouted at you baby, I’m just really stressed.” I said and she got up and hugged me.
“I know you are, Dad didn’t sleep last night. He was really worried about you, but he’s asleep now with the twins and they look really cute.” She said and pulled away. I laughed and kissed her head. Then I went into the bedroom where Harry was sleeping with Freya on top of him and Amelia snuggled up to his side. I smiled and got some clean clothes out of my suitcase and got changed. I did my hair and make-up and then Harry woke up.
“Thank god you’re back. I was going mad with worry last night.” He said. “I’m really sorry, I didn’t mean it, it just kinda came out.”
“It’s fine, don’t worry about it.” I got up and kissed him. The twins woke up and I got them dressed and then we went down to meet up with everyone.
We got downstairs and everyone was sitting around on the sofas chatting to each other. They turned to look at us and stopped talking. Nice to know they were talking about us. I sighed and sat down with Freya on my lap. Harry sat next to me with Amelia and they went back to talking. “I’m guessing they were talking about us…” Harry whispered.
“Yeah…” I replied and we tuned in to their conversations. Perrie, Zayn, Danielle and Liam were talking about a new house.
“When do you get to move in?” Liam asked.
“Urm, I think it’s going to be completed in a few weeks so whenever it’s completed.” Zayn replied.
“Are you two moving?” Harry joined in.
“Yeah, we’re moving into a bigger house on the outskirts of London. We were originally gonna move to Newcastle to be closer to my mam but we decided against that in the end. We’re just getting a bit bored of our house now.” Perrie answered. Harry and I both nodded.
“Is our house over there still standing?” I questioned.
“Yeah, it’s weird not being able to pop round the corner and visit you guys. I miss it. You’re like 10 hours away from us now.” Dani pouted making me laugh slightly.
“Sorry about that. The kids are settled in LA, I don’t think we’ll be moving back anytime soon. I want to at least wait until the twins start school and then maybe we’ll consider coming back, I’m sure you’ll have moved to Wolverhampton or something. El and Louis will have moved to Doncaster after being near El’s family all the time and Niall will be in Ireland. They’ll be no point us living in London, we could just go to Holmes Chapel,” I said and saw Harry’s face light up in the corner of my eye. Gemma stopped her conversation with Luke and Vicki and turned to us.
“You’re moving back home?” She asked looking more at Harry.
“She said it was a possibility, not a definite.” He replied.
“Yeah, but you might?”
“Why? You’re coming out here soon to live nearer Ash’s family,” Harry reminded her.
“I know, but it would be nice to come home and have you and Mads there.” She said. I decided not to get involved in their conversation and went back to talking to Danielle and Liam. We had been sitting downstairs for a while when Iz came down.
“Can I talk to you?” She came over to me. I stood up and followed after her.
“You’ve got to do loads of work in the next week because by the time we go home they want 8 songs written and you’ve only written 4. The whole album is going to be 16 songs so when we get back to the US you’re going to be in a lot unless you crack down and get 12 more songs written soon. I know today is your day off but you’re not going to have anymore, I’m sorry, this isn’t my decision, it’s management’s.” She told me. I nodded and she went to get some breakfast. I went back over to Harry and sat down.
“What did she say?” He turned to me.
“I’ve got loads of work to do in the next week because the album is 16 songs and I only have 4 written. I’m going to have to write at least 4 more while we’re here and then when we get back home I have to get cracking on the other 8. Basically, I’m gonna be run off my feet soon.” I explained.
“Oh right, I’ll help you write if you want,” he offered.
“Don’t worry, I’ll do it. The best thing you could do is make sure I don’t have any distractions. I’m going to spend the day with all of you and then go into the studio this evening and work overnight.” I told him.
“If that’s what you want to do babe,” he replied and we went back to talking. It got to around 2pm and their flight was at 4 so they needed to leave. Luke, Vicki, Michael, Jess and Calum left at 1 and everyone else apart from Anne and Robin are going now. I got up and went over to Liam.
“Keep in touch yeah?” I hugged him.
“Of course Mads, come and visit whenever you’re around.” He kissed my cheek and I moved onto Dani.
“Byeeeeeeee,” I hugged her tightly. She hugged back just as tight. I love these guys. I hate saying goodbye to them. We pulled away and I said goodbye to Leah and George before moving onto Perrie.
“I’m gonna miss you, but you have to come and see our new house soon, it’s amazing,” she gushed. I smiled and hugged her.
“Next time I’m in the UK, promise.” I said. She seemed happy with that answer and I moved onto Zayn. We said our goodbyes and then it was Niall.
“I guess I’ll see you when you get home.” He hugged me.
“Yeah, it’s only like a week away Irish, good luck in court. You deserve Drew, not her.” I told him.
“Bye American,” he kissed my cheek and I went to Louis, Eleanor, Sam and Kayleigh.
“Bye babe,” Louis hugged me.
“Come back and visit us soon?” I questioned.
“We will, won’t we El?” He turned to her. She nodded and hugged me. I hugged the twins and then said goodbye to Gemma, Ashton and Matt. They all left to go to the airport and Harry, the kids and I went up to our room with Anne and Robin going to theirs. We got into the room and the kids went to play with their various games or toys.
