Overworked

Maddie’s P.O.V
I got to the studio and went in. Emily and Isabelle aren’t working today so I got myself ready and went to do my interview.
“I’m really sorry we interrupted your day off.” The interviewer shook my hand.
“It’s fine, don’t worry,” I smiled. The cameras were turned on and I sat down.
“First of all, welcome to Australia.” He said.
“Thank you,” I replied.
“You’re over here with your family and friends yeah?”
“Yeah I am.” I told him.
“Where’s Annabel Horan? We haven’t seen her around and you’ve just been out with the rest of the lads and their girls, where’s she? Are you still friends with her?” He asked.
“No I’m not.” I answered.
“Why not? What happened?”
“She did some pretty unforgivable things. Niall’s out here by himself and she’s back in America.” I replied and they stopped the interview for a second. I texted Niall quickly asking him if I could tell them that they’d split up and he replied with ‘someone has to, may as well be you.’ I sighed and we restarted the interview.
“What did Annabel do?”
“I can’t tell you what she did because it’s between her and Niall but Niall’s given me permission to tell you that he’s not with her anymore. She texted me the other day saying she’s filing for divorce and taking Drew, their little boy, with her. I think that’s pretty unforgivable after the reason they’ve split up is because of her. Niall loves Drew with everything in his body and she’s taking him away from his dad without a second thought. When Harry did that to me with Brooklyn, it broke me. I love Niall and I don’t want to see him go through the same thing. If he needs me to give evidence against Belle in court, I will. She’s been using him ever since they had Drew and none of us realised. He’s got money, and she spends it. She’s a golddigger.” I said.
“Do you not spend Harry’s money?”
“No. I refuse to. We have a joint account but I don’t take the card anywhere with me, it’s actually in America at my parents’ house. He was trying to get me to use his card earlier but I took it and used my own card. I just can’t use his money, it’s not fair.”
“Isn’t that what couples do? Share their money?” He questioned.
“I don’t like to. It makes me feel bad. Harry earned that money, Harry should spend it.”
“While we’re on the subject of money, I imagine you’re a pretty expensive girl. Do you like to treat yourself a lot?”
“Yeah I do. I have hundreds of pairs of shoes. I also have a lot of Michael Kors handbags. I just love them. I can’t help it.”
“Your new album is out soon, how much writing have you done for it?”
“I’ve done quite a lot of the writing we’ve done so far but that’s only a couple of songs. We still haven’t finished. I haven’t recorded anything yet. It will be out at the beginning of next year.”
“Is it the same style of music that we’re used to from you?”
“Urm, I’m not sure really. There is a lot more guitars in these because that’s the only instrument I can play properly. I’ve written the music and lyrics and just gotten them approved and tweaked slightly.” I explained.
“That’s cool. Fan questions now. What is your favourite make up brand?”
“I’d have to say... NYX. I’m in love with their lipsticks. I use Kelly Brook mascara most days and either Naked or Givenchy foundation. It’s just best for my skin tone.” I said.
“You have a lot of posh cars, which one is your favourite?”
“My Porsche Carrera GT, 100%. I love it to bits. Harry and my friends joke that I love it more than Harry and my kids. I don’t think that’s necessarily true but maybe it is. If anything happened to that car I would cry. Honestly. I have a strange obsession with it.” I said.
“Wow. A girl that speaks car. That’s hot.”
“Haha, I have 5 posh cars. I have to speak car.”
“What other cars do you have?”
“I have a Mercedes CL Cabrio, Range Rover Indus, Ferrari 458 Italia and a BMW X5 7 Seater. They’re pretty cool.”
“Where’d the Ferrari come from?”
“It was a Christmas present from my amazing amazing husband.” I smiled.
“Can he buy me one too?”
“If you marry him maybe,” I laughed.
“Anyway, next question, what was the hardest song on your last album to write?”
“I’d say either Tattooed Heart or Lucky Girl. They were quite hard.” I answered and we did a few more questions and finished the interview.
“Thank you and sorry again for getting you in on your day off.”
“It’s fine. I had fun.” I said and on my way out I was called back by Harriet.
“I hate to do this to you Maddie but we need another song by tomorrow. We’re behind schedule. Sorry honey.” She handed me my guitar. I nodded and left the studio. I went back to the hotel and up to the room avoiding everyone in the lounge. I got my song writing book out and started writing. After two hours of strumming, I still only had two verses.
“That’s really good,” Niall said as I sang a new idea. I looked up, I hadn’t realised he was there.
“Sorry I didn’t come down; I have to write a new song by tomorrow.” I sighed, continuing on.
“I can help.” Niall sat down and took the guitar. He looked at my chords and played another bit. It sounded good so I wrote it down. We wrote all the music together and then I started fitting lyrics to it. Within an hour, we were done.
“Thank you so much Niall.” I hugged him. My phone went off when we pulled away and I looked at it.
“@StylesUpdates: Maddie told a police officer in Australia that her and Harry’s relationship is fake for the cameras.”
“@StylesUpdates: She said that the children are adopted and she just wore a fake bump. Opinions?”
I looked at the replies.
“@larryisreal: We already knew this. They thought they were fooling us but the amount of times they split up proves that they’re faking it.”
“@ElounorTomlinsonxxxx: Is this true? @EleanorJTommo @Louis_Tomlinson”
“@EleanorJTommo: It couldn’t be further from the truth. They’re in love. No doubt about it, I don’t know why she said that but it’s not true.”
“@Louis_Tomlinson: Like El said, couldn’t be further from the truth. We were there when Maddie was giving birth. I don’t think she said this.”
I stopped reading that and scrolled through my feed.
“@Louis_Tomlinson: @larryisreal you genuinely believe me and Harry are together? We’re both married with kids, you’re so wrong.”
“@MASUpdates: apparently Maddie and Harry aren’t speaking again. When she got back to the hotel, she went straight up to their suite not speaking and was followed by Niall.”
“@NiallOfficial: Spent my evening song writing with this gorgeous girl @MAStyles” There was a picture of me going through my twitter attached.
“@NiallOfficial: Nothing’s hotter than a girl who can sing and play guitar.”
“@Harry_Styles: Hands off my wife Horan, @NiallOfficial” I laughed and carried on scrolling.
“@AnnabelHoran2904: Stop giving me hate about Niall. We finished things end of. As for Maddie, #fakefriend” I huffed at her stupidity.
“@MAStyles: @AnnabelHoran2904 at least I haven’t used my husband for his money.”
“@1dupdates__: what Belle did must have been bad, she and Maddie had been friends since they were 16.”
“@Harry_Styles: When you two have finished your song writing session, come join us @MAStyles @NiallOfficial”
I laughed and both Niall and I stood up. We went downstairs and I sat on Harry’s lap, next to Niall. We were talking and then my phone went off again.
“@Louis_Tomlinson: Hey! Look who arrived! @MAStyles @NiallOfficial” there was a picture of us sitting on the sofa underneath. I was sitting with my head on Harry’s shoulder and Niall was talking to Brooklyn. I looked at some of the replies.
“@harrymaddiestylesxxx: if that’s a fake relationship I don’t know what a real one is.”
“@fashionistaandproud: they’re adorable together. There’s no way that’s fake.”
@modestisshit: They’re just being loved up now because it’s fake and her management have told her they have to, wouldn’t be surprised if she was fucking Niall a minute ago.” As I read that one I gasped. I would never do that.
“What’s wrong babe?” Harry asked.
“She’s reading the replies to my tweet; people are saying they bet she fucked Niall.” Louis sighed.
“I know you didn’t. It’s fine. I love you honey.” He kissed my cheek.
“Alright, you two seriously make me cringe. How could anyone think you’re fake?” Niall moved away from us.
“Because I told a police officer we were...” I admitted.
“Why?”
“To get out of a fine, it worked.” Harry said. Everyone laughed and we carried on talking. We went up to our suite about an hour later and put the twins to sleep, Lis, Adam and Brooklyn decided to go to bed shortly after. I went into the bathroom, had a shower and put my pyjamas on while Harry sat down and drank a beer. I decided to give him some alone time so got into bed and tried to go to sleep. When he didn’t come in in the next hour, I got out of bed and went into the living room.
“What’s the matter honey?” I sat next to him. He put his arm around my shoulders.
“Nothing baby,” He kissed my head.
“There’s obviously something.” I sighed.
“It’s nothing Mads,” he replied. I just rested me head against his chest and we sat like that for a few minutes until I went back to bed.
“Feel free to join me when you want.” I said. He nodded and I got back into bed.

Notes

Just a chapter of work in Australia...

As far as the sequel to this goes, it will happen, but when I don't know. I have a story on hold which I need to get back onto so as soon as this story finishes I'm going to get back onto that and then I have a Niall story which will probably take priority and there are a lot of stories that I have started and not really continued which I kind of want to work on so the sequel to this could be up months after it finishes.

Today I decided I'm going to be a pescatarian (vegetarian who eats fish). My dad's reply: "Should we stock up on fish fingers then?" I know I probably won't last long because I love Haribos and yeahhh... but to be honest it's just a way to lose a bit of weight before I go back to school next month.
