Overworked

Maddie’s P.O.V
I woke up to a knock at the door. I groaned and got out of bed and opened the door.
“You lazy girl,” Harry laughed. I groaned again and walked back into my apartment throwing myself on the couch. “Charlie,” Harry whistled and Charlie ran to him. “Go tell Mummy that she’s lazy.” He pointed at me and then Charlie jumped on me.
“Thanks.” I laughed hugging Charlie.
“Come on, get dressed gorgeous.” Harry took Charlie from me and put him down and then went to the twins. I went into my bedroom and put some skinny jeans and a hoodie on. “How do you manage to make a hoodie look hot?” Harry questioned.
“Because I have a perfect body,” I teased.
“Yeah you do.” He replied and started packing up the rest of my stuff. We spent a few hours packing and then we moved all my stuff back to the house. I took Charlie and Harry took the twins. We sorted everything out at the house and it was 3pm. The kids will be home soon. Harry started to make dinner and I sat in the office doing my work. I heard the door open and Charlie ran to them.
“Is Mum back?” Adam asked excitedly. I stood up and walked out of the office and Brooke and Adam ran to me.
“Someone’s excited to see you.” Harry laughed.
“It’s coz I’m amazing.” I joked.
“Nah,” Harry said and walked back into the kitchen. The kids let go and went up to their rooms and then the door went and Charlie barked.
“Sshh,” I went to the door and opened it.
“Mum!” Lis jumped on me.
“Hey princess,” I picked her up.
“You’re back?” Danielle asked.
“Yup and I plan on staying this time.” I said. She smiled and hugged me.
“Welcome back Maddie. Thank you. You’ve basically saved my marriage.”
“Why?” I questioned.
“Because Liam and I were basically split between you two and we haven’t been talking properly for ages so now we don’t have to pick sides everything will be okay.” She smiled.
“Well I’m glad. And I’m sorry that we caused so much trouble.” I said and put Lis down. She went to play with Charlie and Danielle got Leah out of the car and came in to talk.
“Since when did you have a dog?”
“Since yesterday when Harry bought me one,” I smiled.
“I miss Loki.” Leah pouted.
“Me too Leah,” Danielle agreed with her.
“You could always get another dog.” I suggested.
“After what Liam went through when Loki got ill I don’t want to put him through that again. Pets dying is the worst. Ask Perrie and Zayn.”
“I know, I had a dog when I was little. When she died I cried for days.” Danielle and I talked for a bit and then she had to go home. I walked into the kitchen and Harry was standing by the oven. I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around him from behind. I felt him laugh and he turned to kiss me quickly. I’m glad I came back. The most exciting thing about this is that I get to sleep in the same bed as him again. The warmth that radiates off of his body calms me and sends me to sleep. I love it.
“Dinner won’t be ready for another half an hour so why don’t you go with one of the kids and take Charlie for a walk?” Harry said. I kissed him again and put Charlie on his leash.
“Who wants to come and walk Charlie?” I shouted up the stairs. Lis came running down and put her shoes on. I laughed and we left the house. We walked down to the park and I let Charlie off of his leash and sat down on a bench with Lis.
“I’m glad you’re back Mummy.” She rested her head on me.
“I’m happy to be back princess. I’m sorry that I left.” I said. We sat and talked for a little while and then I got Charlie and we went back home. I unlocked the door and we went in to the smell of food.
“What’s for dinner?” Lis ran into the kitchen.
“Pasta bake and garlic bread, go and get ready for dinner.” Harry told her. I took Charlie off of his leash and went into the kitchen. I washed my hands and then helped Harry dish up the dinner. “I love you.” He said as I put the dinner on the table.
“Random. But I love you too.” I laughed.
“I’ve just got you back. I want you to know how much I love you.”
“I do know. I was stupid for leaving you in the first place and it shouldn’t have taken me like 6 months to realise that but it did. Let’s just forget about it.” I kissed him and put the rest of the dinners onto the table. I called the kids down and we sat and ate dinner talking about school. We finished dinner and I washed up.
“Lis wants you to give her a bath baby.” Harry said kissing my neck.
“Don’t start that then.” I pushed him away. He laughed and took over clearing up. I went upstairs and ran Melissa’s bath. I’ve really missed the simple things like this.
“Lis!” I shouted. She came up the stairs and into the bathroom. I bathed her and then she went to bed. I went back downstairs and Brooklyn and Adam were already upstairs.
“Skip work tomorrow and let’s go shopping?” Harry said getting up from the sofa. What?
“Did I hear you right? You want to go shopping?” I raised an eyebrow at him.
“Yes. We need to buy you some more sexy lingerie.” He laughed putting his hands on my hips. Of course.
“Do we now?” I said putting my arms around his neck.
“Yep. It’s a necessity.” He smirked.
“Okay then. I’m gonna run to work quickly to get my work for today and tomorrow to do now then.” I kissed him and he picked me up kissing me more passionately. He pulled away and looked at me with his gorgeous green eyes. I’ve missed them. For the past 6 months they’ve lost their sparkle and I know I’m to blame for that. But it’s back and I’m so happy that’s because I’m back.
“Okay baby.” He said and put me down. I grabbed my keys and pulled my shoes on.
“I’ll be back soon.” I opened the door. I jogged to my car and got in opening the gate. I drove out of it and thought about the recent events on my way to the office block. I got there and went inside. There must still be someone here because the alarm isn’t on. I went to my office and Isabelle was sitting in there on my computer. “Whatcha doing?” I asked going over to her.
“My computer stopped working so I came in here to do this.” She said showing me the recent orders.
“Oh right, I’m not going to be in tomorrow either so I’m gonna get my paperwork for both days and do it tonight.” I told her.
“Okay, that’s fine.” She said and picked up some paper. “Here.” She didn’t take her eyes off of the screen once.
“Go home. I’ll do this.” I gave in. She looks so tired and I don’t think she should be here anymore.
“No I’m fine, you get back to Harry.” She said.
“What’s wrong, spill,” I sat down on my desk.
“You’re gonna be off all the time now because you’re back with Harry and I’m stressed out here and at home and can’t run this place on my own. Oliver is starting to walk now so he’s destroying everything and Thomas isn’t even doing anything to help. He doesn’t care that I’m run off my feet and he’s just going out all the time and it’s a nightmare.” She explained finally looking at me.
“Tomorrow is the only day I’m having off now. I’ll be back on Friday and you can have the rest of the week off. I know what it’s like. I’m dreading when the twins start walking. You can have as long as you want off. You’ve always helped me so it’s time for me to repay the favour.” I said.
“Are you sure? I wouldn’t want you and Harry splitting up again.”
“Oh trust me that’s not going to happen. I haven’t been living for these past 6 months and I’m not going to give it up very easily and Harry won’t either. Don’t worry. You get home and if you want I’ll have Emily run this place tomorrow.”
“Could you? I’m honestly run off my feet.” She sighed.
“Of course, I’ll call her now. You go home.” I said and she nodded and left.

Change of plan, I’ve got some work to do but I’ll be back in a few hours, put the twins to sleep please? Bottles are in the fridge. Love you xxxx
I sat down at my desk and started working. Then I called Emily and told her she’d be running the business tomorrow and then I checked on Hannah back in the UK. After that I did my emails for the day and then checked my phone.

I smiled and shut down my computer and grabbed all my stuff. I left the office block putting the alarm on behind me and got into my car. I drove home and went inside. Harry must still be seeing to the twins because he’s not around here. I heard running water and went upstairs to the bathroom.
“What’s this?” I asked Harry as he stood over a steaming bath with petals in it and candles around it.
“For you,” He got up and kissed me.
“You’re the best.” I smiled.
“I’ll be in bed when you’re done, take as long as you like, you need to relax. Don’t bother with a towel when you come up.” He winked and walked out of the bathroom.
“Perv!” I called after him and heard him laugh.
“Your fault,” He said and went upstairs. I shut the bathroom door and stepped out of my clothes. I got into the bath and lay back to relax. I went onto Twitter and tweeted: ‘My husband is the cutest, had to work late and he ran me a bath, so sweet xx’ I went through all my mentions ignoring the hate and reading all the nice things. After I’d done that I got out of the bath and dried off wrapping a towel around me. I went upstairs and Harry groaned. “I thought I told you not to bother with the towel?” He said.
“I didn’t listen. I know if I didn’t use a towel then you’d get horny and we’d end up having sex. I don’t want to do that today. I’m tired. Just let me sleep.” I said getting a bra and some panties out of the drawer. I put them on and then put my pyjamas on. I got into bed and snuggled up to Harry.
“I love this.” He ran his hand over my tattoo. There’s a but coming, I can feel it. “But,” I knew it, “you forgot a name.” He said.
“Really? Who’s that?” I joked looking up at him.
“The person you love most in this world.”
“Louis?” I said,
“I hate you.” He said.
“Love you too darling.” I smiled. “But I’ll get a H when I can be bothered to go to the tattoo parlour.” I told him making him grin. “I think I should totally get the 1D logo.” I said.
“No. You’re not doing that.” He replied and I laughed.
“I was joking you idiot.” I slapped his chest lightly.
“I knew that...” He lied.
“I’ve missed this.” I whispered.
“Me too, but by the way, I’m picking your outfit tomorrow.” He kissed me and shut his eyes.
“Oh god,” I muttered to myself and went to sleep in his arms. Where I belong.

Well, everything is good in the Styles household, I wonder how long that will last.

Day 49

I may not update as often at the moment because I am so focused on my new story. I'm loving writing it as much as I loved writing this at the start so I'm hoping it's going to be good.
