My Secret

Max's P.O.V

We got out of the car, in silence. I walked around my car and opened up my trunk. Just as I was just about to reach for my bag, Liam pulled it up on his shoulder.

"I got it. Just show me the way." Liam smiled.

"Thanks. We're gonna have to hold hands, is that alright?" I asked while blushing a bit.

"Yeah, no problem." Liam replied.

We intertwined our fingers, holding tightly onto each other. We were at the door to the gym, I held my fist upon the door and banged it three times. The door opened and revealed a very sweaty Calumn.

"Hey Max! Oh, and..." Calum said.

"Hi, I'm Liam." Liam replied.

"Well, nice to meet you. Come in, Max in a couple of days we need you to kick some punk's ass. He's trash-talking you, like he knows you. Beat the shit out of him, but play him like a toy. Make a fool out of his ass." Calumn said whilst leading us to my practice "arena".

"Okay, got it. Toy him while beating his ass." I re-stated.

Calumn nodded and walked out to the arena leaving me to get myself ready for practice. Liam set the bag down on the bench and I opened it. I started wrapping my knuckles and Liam held my kick-boxing gloves. I smiled at him and he smiled back, but his eyes showed nothing but worry.

"What's wrong? I thought you were cool with this?" I asked frowning.

"It's just that I don't want you getting hurt. I'm scared for you, and I'm scared that I'll hurt you." He said looking me straight in the eyes.

"One I'm not gonna get hurt. I promise. Second, how are you going to hurt me? That..That's impossible." I said.

"If you get hurt and end up bleeding, badly, then I might not be able to help myself and then, bite you. I...I can't hurt you, I will never, ever, forgive myself." He whispered.

"Liam, please. Don't say that. You can control yourself. Everyone that works here is well, mutant. I'm an avian-american, Calumn can shipshape and control the elements, Luke can read minds, Ashton is extremely strong including his eyesight and hearing and he can hack into anything, and Michael is a shield he is immune to our "mutant" powers. We've tried already, it horrible. When you try, sharp pain rushes through your brain and you hear a high pitched whistle of some sort." I explained.

His eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas morning. His frown turned into a smile that reached his eyes.

"After all that time thinking I was alone, here comes this beautiful girl. Words couldn't and still can't describe her beauty. She comes along and her friends come along too who are mutants except for one but she's still cool and pretty." Liam tells me.

I kissed him on his plump lips. It lasted for a couple of minutes but that was as long as he could last before pulling away. His smile was so, breathtaking. God I finally realized the truth, I, Maximum Ride, love Liam Payne.
