My Secret

I slid away quietly and headed towards my room. I went to my weapons case and unlocked it with my necklace. To my surprise, a picture was laying there. I picked it up and whimpered. It was me and Fang when we were in the AAF (Avian-American Forces). I was so stupid! I hated myself, why did I let myself get captured!
*Flashback*
Smoke filled the room, making the guards around me cough. I sat there silently, not wanting put any attention towards me. I heard shuffling, grunts, and moans coming from all around me. Once the smoke cleared, a person came up to me. "Max? Are you alright love?" It was Fang! "Fang! Oh, Fang. I missed you so much!" I saw him smile, his eyes looking deeply into mine. "I love you Max." I was shocked, nobody ever loved me. I never loved anybody either, could he really love me? "I..I think I love you too." I was in love! I did really love him! Fang cut the ropes that had bound my hands. I stood up, never leaving his stare. He cupped my face, and leaned in. His soft lips met my cracked lips. He started kissing me with passion, his tongue begging for an entrance. I opened my mouth, his tongue exploring everywhere. By the end, my whole mouth tingled. I giggled. "What's so funny?" I giggled again at his smirk. "My mouth, it's all tingly!". He chuckled and started to lead me to the door. "Fang! No, we have to go through the back! They're gonna come in the way you came!" He nodded. I walked to the back, searching for vents. Fang pointed upwards, great. "There are two vents right there. Come on!" He jumped up and unfurled his black wings. I could never get use to them. "Are you gonna just stand there or are you coming?" Oops! I jumped up and also unfurled my wings, one was white and the other one was black. It felt so good to fly again. I crawled in a vent, not looking behind. I was about to give up when I saw an ending. Sunlight peeked out from the cracks. "Finally." I murmured to myself. Once I was out I looked for the other vent, it wasn't so far away from mine so I sat between them. After half of an hour I heard Fang crawling in the vent, but before he could reach the end something happened. The building exploded. "NO! FANG!" I screamed that until my lungs gave out. His limp body was laying in my lap. Tears flooded my face.
*Flashback Ends*
I started crying. Tears flooded my vision leaving me stumbling to the bathroom. I went into the shower and grabbed an old friend. A friend that took pain away but left scars to remind me. I dragged the razor across my wrist and over my other scars. I winced, but reminded myself this was the only way to make the pain go away. I looked at my wrist, several cuts covering it. I put the razor back and stood there staring at the blood. I heard a knock on the door and looked up.
