Harry's POV

I practically ran into the door when trying to open it so fast. once I got inside everyone was looking at me weirdly because of the fact that I slammed the door with the most terrified look on my face and because I came back without any food.

"Didn't the room down the hall have any spare food?" Niall asked with a very disappointed look on his face. Wow that's the first thing he asks!

"Why do you look like someone just killed a puppy in front of you?" Liam asked me looking quite amused about why I'm acting this way. At least someone cares! But he's not going to be happy when I tell him why.

"NO seriously dude! Did they not have food?" Niall said trying to change the subject to food again. Honestly this guy needs to check his priorities.

"Shut up about food for one minute Niall!" I said rather rudely then turned to Liam again. "uh Liam? are you sure Katie doesn't know anything?" I ask trying to sound very casual so he doesn't get worried but failing miserably.

"What are you talking about?" He asked me very annoyed that I brought up the Katie subject but to be honest we have all been talking about her when Liam isn't in the room. Hey can you blame me? she's fit.

"I'm just wondering if anything has happened that we don't know about." Man I really suck at trying to be casual with this topic.

"Well my mum told me before that the law have officially been involved and a police officer went to her house while they were out shopping but he was still there when she and Ashley got home, but that's all I've heard. Why are you asking?"

"Woah! wait a second! The police are involved? Why?" Louis asked butting in after loosing interest in the TV.

"Well my parents told me that it wasn't exactly a 'legal' adoption. Which is why they think it will be so easy to get Katie back after all these years. I don't see why the police would let them have her back after they gave her away to complete strangers illegally but yeah that's why the police are mixed in." Liam said shrugging trying not to show how annoyed he was with his parents.

Once I regained all my thoughts and managed to process what Liam had just said.
"Well then I guess the police said she couldn't stay with her so called parents anymore."

"Why?" All four of them asked me in union.

"Because she's staying down the hall."

There was silence for what felt like hours but it was probably only a minute.

"Please tell me your joking..." Liam said choosing not to believe what I had just said. Oh shit he's going to go all crazy, I can feel it coming.

"No I'm completely serious! why would I joke about this when we all got in trouble earlier!" I said with annoyance clear in my tone.
After I said that Liam started to pace around the room mumbling things like 'why this hotel' and 'this is got to be a set up'. I sat down next to Louis on the couch as the rest of us watched Liam pace to the point where if this was a cartoon he would have worn out the carpet by now.

Out of nowhere he stops and faces us all with a very serious look.

"Okay, okay, as long as we stay away like we were told then we should be okay. That means no going to her door for food and making sure you check twice before going in the hallway. Please just be extra careful!" We all nodded knowing there was no point arguing with Liam.
After Liam finished his little rant of rules now that Katie was in the building he started to cool down. But as if on cue there was a knock on the door.

"I'll get it!" Louis yelled jumping off the couch.
"Wait!" Liam whispered to Louis before he reached the door. "We have no clue who it is! What if a fan found out we are here!" He whispered again but stated getting louder near the end of the sentence.
"Don't be a buzz kill Liam it's probably just some kind of room service that Niall ordered."
I hoped off the couch while they continued to argue.

Once I opened the door I was shocked once again to see Katie holding my phone and looking rather nervous.

I stepped out of the hotel room and closed the door so she couldn't hear the others bickering.

"Um Katie hi. Uh how did you know my hotel room?" I asked trying to sound slightly cool since it was the first time we were alone together but failing and just sounding awkward. great.

"Well um you dropped your phone when you ran off and since I didn't hear the elevator go off I assumed you must be on this floor which only has like three rooms and the third one is empty." She replied so casually.

"Oh right thank you for bringing it back." I said while looking at the floor. Why the hell am I so nervous right now?

"No problem." She said handing it to me and walking back to her room. God damn that was to close for comfort.
