My name isn't even Michelle.
Or Claire, or Jane, or Sara, or Kendra, or whatever other bullshit name I come up with on the spot when asked. I lie.
I always lie.

I barely even remember how to tell the truth anymore. In my opinion, the truth is all relative. It doesn't matter until it does.
And when it does, I run.

I don't know what love is. I don't know what it means or how it feels. I just know that if you love someone, they have the opportunity to hurt you. And I don't believe in giving someone permission to hurt me. So. I lie. I keep my distance, and I take care of myself.

If nothing matters, then nothing hurts.
