The Water's Sweet but Blood is Thicker

Abby POV
I woke up the next morning and froze. There was an arm around me and all I had on was my underwear. I turned my head and saw Liam lying there. What happened last night? It all slowly comes hack to me. Shit. I slowly slipped out from under his arm and Liam shifted and groaned. Please don’t wake up please don’t wake up. I looked at the clock 6:30 am. Ugh way too early to get up. I made my way to the kitchen and got some water and aspirin. I grabbed my swimsuit from the balcony where I had put it to dry and headed to the beach. I surfed for about 2 hours before heading back to the house. Stopping inside I see Liam and Harry in the kitchen.
“Good Morning Abby want any breakfast.”
“No thank you I’m not hungry.”
Liam looks at me confused and start to come to say hello. I duck around him and head upstairs. I quickly grab and outfit and brush my hair. Deciding to skip makeup I hear a knock on the door.
“Abby can you unlock the door.” Liam asks.
I open the window and go and unlock the door. Heading to the window I slip out of it.
“Abby wait.”
I walk along the overhang and drop outside. I walk into to town to get breakfast I was starving. Grabbing breakfast I try to take as long as possible trying to waste time. Walking back to the house I mull over what has happened this past week. I can’t believe its only been a week. I don’t think I can stand another week in this house. Heading back in the house I head up to my room trying to avoid everyone. Grabbing my laptop I go to sit on the overhang. Hearing a knock I turn and see Danielle in the doorway.
“Hey Abs I didn’t see you this morning.”
I smile weakly at her. Danielle comes out and sits next to me and rubs my back.
“Whats wrong?”
I feel tears start to come on and I shake my head.
‘What are you looking at?” Danielle says and goes to look at my computer . I turn the screen so she cant see. Danielle grabs my laptop and opens my browser.
“Abby!I thought we had promised no more running.” Danielle says referring to the travel sites on my computer.
“I don’t think I can stand another week here.” I say
Dani looks at me.
“Did something happen.”
I shake my head yes.
“Do you want to talk about it.”
I shake my head no tears spilling down my face.
“Come here.”
Danielle puts her arms around me and I cry into her shoulder.
“Abby you can’t just run from your problems.”
“But…”
“No, now let’s get you cleaned up.”
I shower and get dressed. Danielle helps me to do my make-up so that no one can tell I’ve been crying.
I smile at her
“Thanks.” I say giving her a hug.
My phone buzzes in my pocket. Pulling it out I see its Cassidy calling.
“Hello?”
“Hi Abby its Cassidy.”
“Hi.”
“I don’t know if Alex told you but were headed down to Gibraltar. We actually changed our plans and are heading down today. We were going to spend the night and come back tomorrow afternoon. Do you want to come?”
“I don’t know.”
“Please, please, please.”
I stop and think about it. A day away might be exactly what I need. The only problem is Alex will be there. I finally concede.
“Okay… can you guys pick me up?”
“ Yay! Yeah sure it’s on our way anyways.”
“Okay see you then.”
“See ya and we’ll be there in about an hour.
I hang up the phone and Dani looks at my with her eyebrows raised.
“I’m going to Gibraltar with Alex and Cassidy we will be back tomorrow afternoon.”
“Abby no running.”
“It’s not running Dani its different this time I’m coming back.”
She smiles and shakes my her head.
“You better come back.”
I go back up to the room to pack my overnight bad. Liam comes in while I am packing.
“Abby why are you annoying me?”
Did he not know?
“What do you remember from last night?”
“Um your boyfriend came over and I had way to many beers and then nothing I drank so much I blacked out. Why?”
He doesn’t remember? Thank god that mean I don’t have to tell him.
“It doesn’t matter.”
“Okay Where are you going?”
“Gibraltar.” I say turning in the doorway. “ oh and Alex isn’t my boyfriend were just friends.”
Liam looks confused as I leave.
Headed downstairs I give Danielle a hug.
“I’ll be back tomorrow night and please don’t try to stop me I need to do this.”
Dani smiles knowing that I need a day away.
“Have fun I’ll see you tomorrow.”
I wait outside until they pull up. Alex offers me the front seat of the convertible.
“Um I think I’ll sit with Cassidy.” I say swinging my bag into the backseat.
