Painful Memories
Winter’s POV
“WINTER!” I heard a voice that used to give me butterflies “Yeah?” my voice cracked as I walked out of our room “There’s my favorite girl in the whole wide world” he opened his arms I knew he had someone over so I ran into his arms “How was work babe?” I asked as if things were how they used to be “as usual” he said as he flashed me his million dollar smile the one that won me over he moved his head by my ear “my mum is here.” I looked to see him mum standing there smiling at us “oh Winter it’s been so long!” she said with a big smile I smiled back “Yeah it has! Maybe we’ll come down for winter break-“my hand flied to cover my mouth as I ran down the hall to the bathroom as I threw up my lunch I felt a hand on my back I knew who it was “Winter are you okay?” his voice filled with worry for moment it seemed genuine “she might got the flu, let’s get her upstairs so she can rest” only if they knew what it really was. Only if he knew what it was.
He carried me upstairs as if I wasn’t capable of walking myself but his mother is here he’s only doing it because she is here, maybe I can try to enjoy this while it lasts “Well I come over later this week your father wants to meet Winter you know you can ignore him forever” he tense at the word father his mum can over and kissed me on the forehead and kissed him on his cheek and left. "Winter you embarrassed me. Why are you so stupid?" he started to squeeze my arm as he put me down on the bed "I didn't mean to- OW!"
"Sometimes I wonder why I'm even with you when I can have anyone I want" he sneered he pick up his car keys and walk out as I let out a tear I heard the front door slam I stood up and grabbed my suitcase (that has some of my clothes in it)that hid in the back of our closet and walked downstairs and called my best friend Ezmay and told her to come pick me up.
When I seen her pull up I ran out to her car "About time you leave that hell hole" she said as we drove away into the darkness.
"Ez..." I mumbled as I played with my fingers "yeah, Winnie?" she put down her sandwich
down on the table "I'm Pregnant"
