Vampires Rule

If Niall though it was odd I called the Prince by his name instead of Sire, he didn’t show it.

Niall shrugged “Its fine, interesting even, you wanted me to show her to her room?”

Louis nodded “I’ve got to tell my parents that I’m back, you any idea where they’d be?”

Niall said “I think her majesty was in the gardens, she likes it there and his highness was in his room”

Louis nodded and gave us a slight smile before walking through a small door on the left side of the hall that I hadn’t seen.

As soon as Louis left I suddenly saw Niall let a sigh of relief and his muscles that I hadn’t noticed before were tensed, relaxed.

“Your scared of the Prince” I noted then I put my hands in my mouth, drat! I hadn’t realised I’d said that out loud!

“Sorry, Sir-“

Niall looked shocked then waved my apology away and said bluntly “No, your right, anything else you want to point out or ask?”

I wasn’t sure if he was joking or not but I decided to push my luck “So, your a vamp?”

Niall said shortly “Yes”

I waited for more information but Niall didn’t say anything else so I had to ask “Whens your 20th birthday Sir?”

Niall said grimacing “Next month”

“You don’t seem that happy about it” I said slowly.

Niall frowned at me, he studied me for a few moments then he gestured me to follow him from the hall, I did so, guessing he was now taking me to my room then Niall heaved a deep sigh, running his hands through his hair and he said suddenly “I guess I don’t want to become a vampire, I can’t imagine changing into something like the prince, emotionless, cruel…Blood thirsty. I used to be good friends with Louis before he transformed, now we barly talk, sometimes I feel like I can see bits of who he was before the transformation, like you saw in the hall then I remember what he is…What his done…I fear him, yeah but mostly its because I fear what I’ll become when I change…I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to say all this stuff, I have no one my age to talk to, sorry”

I blinked at him shocked as I stammered “T-thats alright, its fine”

No one other than the other servants had ever talked to me like this before, it was shocking to say the least.

Sure Louis had shown me some kindness in the carrage but he was still a full vampire, a emotionless killer.

I found myself pitying the young man before me.

At least I didn’t have to worry about changing into a vampire with no humanity and the wish that I could become a vampire suddenly became less appealing.
