Vampires Rule

We walked through the corridors in silence, and I glanced into a few rooms that lead to different corridors or big fancy, posh rooms, a couple of servants were busy cleaning or walking around with washing and general things for the royals.

A couple gave me curious glance but most ignored me but they all gave Niall a bow of respect when they saw him, it made me wonder who Niall was, he defiantly wasn’t one of the royals or I'd know about him and he also didn't have any brotherly resemblance to Louis so who was he?

After me going through quite a few different corridors and me realising what a maze this castle really was, after 20 minutes walking in silence we finally arrived at my room. Niall opened the door for me and I walked hesitantly inside.

It was dark but quite cosy inside, a small bed and a table by the bed and my own wardrobe, I stared at the wardrobe, I’d never had a wardrobe for just myself before, nor a bedside table.

The room was quite basic but for someone who used to live in a cellar in was luxery.

“So what do you want to know?” Niall asked.

I asked, hoping to feed my curiosity about Niall “Would you mind if I asked you a personal question sir?”

Niall gave me a slight smile as he said “It depends on the question”

I took a deep breath as I said “I know you're not a Royal, where are your parents? If you don’t mind me asking?”

Nialls jaw clenched and he looked away as he said slowly “My parents are dead…”

“I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to-“ I apologised hurriedly.

Niall said still not looking at me “Slayers killed them, though luckily for me my family are quite high up and the Royals were my parents friends so they agreed to look after me and take me in”

I opened my mouth again to apologise but Niall shook his head, giving me a forced smile “Its fine, I’m fine, it happened years and years ago”
