The Flight That Changed My Life

Niall POV:
I don't know why but when Harry and Louis come back and Harry has his arm on her I start glaring at them. I should've been the one to help her out and introduce myself first, not Harry or Louis.

I hope this doesn't mean they're attracted to her too. Things could get heated pretty quickly... I snap out of my thoughts as Harry begins to speak.

"Hello lads, I'd like you to meet-" he cuts off abruptly when I'm guessing he doesn't know her name either. He turns to look at her giggling at him. It was quite adorable really.

Then she speaks up,"Hello, the name's Jennifer Williams but you can call me Jenni. I can't begin to thank you all enough for helping me out of this sticky situation," she finishes with a small smile as her cheeks flush a gorgeous rosy color.

I realize I'm staring when Liam is the first to get up and hug her, saying, "Hello, I'm Liam, nice to officially meet you."

Next up is Zayn, who gets up and hugs her too, simply saying, "Hi, I'm Zayn," before returning to his seat as well.

Then I get up and give her my famous Horan Hug which the boys have taken to calling it, and say, "Good morning, I'm Niall," while looking straight into her eyes. They seemed to have changed to more of a green color outlined in brown. I tear myself away before it becomes obvious that I'd been staring and return to my seat.

My head snaps up when I hear Louis loudly announce, "I'm Louis, your new bestie!" as he picks her up as he hugs her before setting her back down.

She's smiling widely now and her laugh has trickled down to a giggle before Harry taps her shoulder and flashes his dimples before saying, "Hi, and I'm Harry." She smiles again before looking back at the rest of us. We all flash her a smile as well and me and Louis gesture to the plastic seat between us and she gladly accepts. "Oh, I know! Let's play 20 questions!" Louis says with enthusiasm.

"Woah, you have too much energy for 9:30 in the morning," says Jenni. We all laugh.

Then Harry speaks up, "Well I think the first victim should be Jenni."

"Alright then, shoot," she says calmly. I hope she knows what she's gotten herself into.

"What's your favorite color?" I ask.

"Green!" she says.

"What's your favorite food?" Louis asks.

"Pasta, any kind!" she says.

"Where are you from?" Zayn asks.

"Chicago, Illinois!" she says.

"What nationalities are you?" Harry asks.

"Well I was born and raised here, but I'm a mixture of Swedish, German, a little bit French, English, and Hungarian, but mostly Irish!" she says, and looks over at me. Hopefully I don't look like I'm too excited, but she's lining up with a lot of what I look for in a girl. And she's Irish!

"What are your favorite sports?" Liam asks next.

"I love soccer, or football to you I guess, and I also play golf and bowling. I used to play softball and baseball but both are spring sports along with soccer, so I naturally chose soccer once I got to high school. I've also been told that I'm pretty good at basketball, but I've only really played that in gym class." she says. Nice, sporty.

"How many boyfriends have you had?" I find myself asking. I didn't mean to, it just slipped out.

She turns, looks me straight in the eye, and says, "None. I haven't even had my first kiss yet." she says. Wow, I'm so surprised! She's so pretty! I mean, is she a supermodel? No, but I find her little flaws make her even more beautiful and endearing.


"Oh I'm sorry I brought it u-" I start but she cuts me off.

"Do I look like I'm embarrassed? No, I have been asked out before, but I'm waiting for the right person," she says. I break eye contact after a few seconds and noticed all of the boys looking at her with renewed respect (not that they didn't respect her before, of course).

As soon as she's out of earshot I intend to tell them that I like her and would appreciate it if they let me have her, maybe even help me. I'll admit, I'm not the smoothest when it comes to girls.

To ease the tension, I hear Louis say, "Well good for you, love! You just keep on waitin' for your man" in his sassiest voice, while snapping his fingers. We all crack up and continue the game. We find out that she loves classic rock, country, pop, and Disney music. Currently she plays the violin and has started to try and teach herself guitar. She used to play the alto saxophone, clarinet, and piano but had to stop because she could only play one instrument at her middle school. Her birthday is August 12, 1994, which means she's 16, right about our age.

She doesn't have a favorite movies because there would be too many tied for first. She promised to show us 'A League of They're Own' and 'Sydney White' though on the plane, because they were downloaded into her laptop. And to add to the icing on the cake, she told us she can sing, loves food and sleeping, has taken Spanish for the past 4 years and has a great Gollum voice impression from the Lord of the Rings.

She was just telling us about how she sketches, when the announcer informs us that it's time to get seated on the plane. As we enter the plane, Louis and I are seated together with one seat inbetween.

'Please be Jenni, be Jenni, be Jenni..' I think to myself and sure enough she enters the plane behind Zayn, looks at her ticket, and walks over to us, scooching by and plopping down on my right. This flight just got a whole lot better...
