Liam's Savior

Chapter Three

When I got home, I immediately went up to my room and opened up my MacBook. Going to safari, I typed in the google search bar: 'kidney cancer'. Many things popped up, so I scrolled down and went to Wikipedia. A whole page popped up all about kidney cancer. Great! Now I can learn all about this.

He will not be taking chemo because usually this type of cancer does not respond to the treatment.

"If the cancer has not spread, it will usually be removed by surgery. Sometimes, this involves removing the whole kidney. This is not always possible the patient may have diseases or the cancer could spread to other places and the doctor may not be able to remove all of it."

That made me nervous. What if the cancer spread to like his stomach?! Oh my God, I'm freaking out here.

"Adjuvant therapy helps to improve survival in kidney cancer," I read on about that. I read about all the signs which Liam said he had. Abdominal pain, weight loss, blood in urine, loss of appetite, lots of sweating, and tiredness. Also, he can only take someone else's kidney if theres is a complete match.

Reading about this made me want to throw up. How can Liam get this? No one thinks they are going to get cancer, and Liam got it. How could this be possible? I am so scared. Tears leaked from my eyes and fell on the trackpad of my computer.

The causes I could only think of Liam, is kidney cancer in family. Plus, he has had other kidney problems. Closing my computer, I rubbed my temples and breathed deeply.

Liam will be okay. Liam will be okay. Liam will be okay.....

Liam

I sat in the hospital bed. Constantly soaking my bed sheets with sweat, and wincing every now and then with my deep abdominal pains. Who would've guessed that I would get kidney cancer. Honestly, I have never been more scared in my life. Doctor Korochi said the cancer is now moving slower, but my kidney is growing weaker and weaker by the second and I'm feeling weaker, and more tired. The fans are amazing though. They started the hashtags:

#FightThroughTheCancerLiam

#StayStrongLiam

#PrayForLiam

So on and so. Very sweet. Every day I get tweets from fans saying they were deeply worried about me and if they had to, they would give me a kidney. We already settled it though that my dad will be giving me his kidney. The door to my room opened and Rue ran in. She had tears running down her face.

"Liam, oh my God," She sobbed.

"Is Nicola here?"

"She's on her way, how are you feeling?" She asked sitting next to me.

"I'm in a lot of pain," I said getting constant pain.

"This is terrible. Grandpa had kidney cancer, so that is probably why you have it now," Rue said thinking a loud. "But don't worry, you will fight through this."

She kissed my forehead and gave me a hug.

"You're very sweaty," She chuckled.

"Every hour my bed sheets are soaked with sweat." I said scrunching my nose in disgust.

The door opened again and mum and dad walked in.

"Rue thank God you are here!" Mum shouted running over to her and giving her a hug.

Then Dr. Korochi walked in and smiled at everyone.

"I see you have company, Liam." He smiled. I nodded. "Well Liam, we took some more X rays and it seems that the cancer is still moving very slow, but we will need to take your father's blood test now." He said writing down on his clipboard. "Mr. Payne, please come with me."

Dad followed the doctor and I was so thankful I have family that can give me their kidneys.

"After you get your dad's kidney everything will be all better," Mum said holding Rue while she cried.

"Rue, please stop crying." I begged. "Niall's been over here all afternoon balling his eyes out."

Rue nodded and sat down on a chair next to mom. I pulled out my phone and checked twitter, replying to most of the tweets.

I sat on my bed doing my homework for calculus and French when my door was knocked on.

"Come in!" I called not looking up from my paper.

The door creaked open, and I saw Liv standing their walking towards me. She sat on the bed next to me and laid down, staring at the ceiling. She sighed loudly, and I saw tear stains on her cheeks. This is obviously hard for her too. What the hell am I saying? This is hard for all of the directioners. Liam's family is who I fell terrible for. But I know Liam can fight through this, he is a fighter.

"I researched the cancer," Liv said.

"So did I..." I trailed off still writing.

"It's kind of scary, I wanted to puke just thinking about it." She turned her head and looked at me. I looked at her too. "I think he'll be fine though, I'm just trying to get through it.."

Grabbing my phone, I pulled up twitter and went to @Real_Liam_Payne

"He tweeted like ten minutes ago his father is taking a blood test to see if they will match. The results should come in a couple hours."

"So all they have to do is take Liam's kidney out?" Liv asked looking at me.

"Well, when the cut him open, they won't know if the cancer has spread, if it has, then they may not be able to remove all of it. But I'm PRAYING that the cancer is moving very slow and is still in his kidney."

"Okay," Liv said breathing heavily.

Sorry, I can't have a co author. I'm writing this story on another website (www.quotev.com) and I'm transferring my story from that site to this site, so that's why I'm not updating as much.
