Through The Dark

Sophia's POV

"Sophia? Wake up. " Someone whispered.

They shook my shoulders.

I sighed, opening my eyes.
"What time is it?" I groaned.

"Late. They're leaving." Life's voice was thick with emotion.
"Ten minutes, Soph."

I closed my eyes and waited for her footsteps to retreat and pad down the hall.

Groanjng, I got out of bed, and shuffled to the bathroom.

I looked like a mess. My eyes were bloodshot, due to the never ceasing crying. Bags lay under. My hair was a mess. I looked paler than usual.

I sat on the floor, the cold marble soothing.

I missed him. A lot. As I lie in bed last night, I thought about how much Ashton meant to me. I messed up, and I needed to fix it.

Pulling myself up to my feet, I quickly showered, than changed into some comfortable clothes.

I closed the door to the room, and walked out.

"Luce?" I called out.

I opened the closet door.

Luce looked up at me, squinting at the light. Speaking of, the light, her cheeks were tear stained.

"Oh, Luce." I said, pulling her up into a hug.

"I'm going to miss him." She whispered.

"I feel you. Now, we have some time left. Let's go." I whispered, leading her out.

"It's my last day with him. Until September." She said.

"Don't think. Just do." I told her.

Luce tensed up. "Do what?"

We neared the door.
"I don't know. Whatever."

We opened the door and stepped out into the brisk morning.

Harry, Niall, and Michael awaited us.

"Luce." Michael whispered.

She ran up to him. They embraced together.

I looked away.
"You guys ready?" I asked Harry and Niall.

"Definitely. Seeing out family - haven't done that in a while." Niall grinned. Harry nodded.

"How you holding up?" Niall asked.

I exhaled, kicking some gravel.
"Honestly? Like shit. "

"Where's Eric?" Harry piped up.

"Dunno." I said, shrugging my shoulders.

"Wait up." Eric yelled. He dragged Ashton's bags.

Harry and Niall ran up to him, each taking an item.

I stayed back. Ashton never came back last night.

They put the bags in the trunk.

"Luce? Michael? I hate to tell you guys this... It's time to go." Harry said.

Ten minutes later, we were pulling up to a private terminal.

Somber looks passed. We wouldn't be seeing each other for a while.

"I'm here." Someone spoke up.

Ashton stood behind us.

"You're here." I breathed out.

"Of course. Can't miss tour." He responded.

I couldn't withhold the the hurt.
