Through The Dark

Sophia POV

I neatly arranged the baby formula on the counter,
organized the diaper box, and fussed over the baby.

I entered the sitting room, where Harry had his laptop set on the coffee table.

I sat next to him and waited for the call to connect.

Simon's face filled the screen.

"Ah! There are my two love doves. I see the crib in the back.
Have you picked her up and chosen a name?" He asked.

"We just got back, actually. Her name is Sadie," Sophia replied.

"Alright Simon. Cut to the crap. I know you well to see that something is on your mind." I sighed.

Simon rubbed his hands over his face.

"We have important events next week.
We are having a press conference discussing Sophia, why we signed her to perform with the band as well as record some music for the album, as well as confirming your 'relationship', and most importantly, about Sadie.
And, we have an interview and performance. " Simon stated.

"So that means we have to leave soon to rehearse and be there for all of that?" Sophia asked.

"Yes." Simon agreed.

"When do we leave?" I asked.

"Today is Monday, so... Thursday night." He affirmed.

"Oh. Okay." Sophia said.

"Plus, I think it's best you get the infant home.
You can't stay in New York forever." Simon pointed out.

"True..." I replied.

A cry rang out behind us.

The baby was awake, and Sophia sprang up to assist her.

"I'll leave you two to deal with her. I'll email you the airline things. Farewell!" Simon said and signed off.

I walked into Sophia's room, where she was feeding the baby by the bottle.

She glanced up and saw me, and smiled.

"Try it." She said.

I sat on the bed, and Sophia placed the baby in my arms. She handed me the bottle and the baby eagerly clamped her lips around the opening.

"She's hungry." I mused. "How do you know so much about babies?"

Sophia got up, and slid a pair of tights under her dress.

"I grew up taking care of cousins of mine." She said from the bathroom.

She came out dressed to hang around the suite.

"Let's stay he for the rest of the day. Yes?" She asked.

"Sure." I answered. The baby had finished the bottle and fallen asleep.

Sophia rolled in the crib.

"Go sleep or whatever. She can stay with me." Sophia offered.

"Alright. Thanks." I muttered.

I swapped the the jeans out for shorts and the shirt for a tee.

I kissed Sadie on the forehead before curling up in bed .
