Wonder

Sarahs POV:

I braced myself against the wall. Suddenly the room was flooded with bright lights. I was practically blind. I blinked tapidly trying to get my eyes too adjust.

Thats when the floor dropped.

I screamed from suprise as the once solid thing below me simply disappeared. Flying had always been my weakness. I was falling quickly and simply didnt have the time to contemplate more.

"Fly. FLY YOU IDIOT!!" I yelled out loud. I didnt know how much farther I had to fall before I hit the ground. Depending on the ground...I might die.

I desperatly began to flap my arms. "Cmon...cmon" i whispered. Suddenly with the wind, i was practically laying in the air on my stomach.

I spread my legs and arms out like a starfish and braced myself. To my suprise, I shot upward. I was flying!! I screamed with joy as I began soaring upwards.

Then it hit me...I COULD ESCAPE!!

I aimed myself more forward, and shot in that direction. This was it. Bye bye losers. Cant catch me. Then something else hit me...literally.

I collided with something very solid, hearing something in my face crack. I screamed as I plummeted. My face cupped in my hands I could feel blood pooling.

"Mission failed" announced the voice as if I didnt already know. Suddenly there was solid ground that I hit with a thud. Between my fingers I could see I was in the room I started in.

The door swung open to reveal Lyle. He was smirking and shaking his head. "Youre not dumb. Youre clever arent you? Not clever enough. But we can use clever." He said, pulling me to my feet by my elbow.

I continued to cradel my face as I was led back through the halls. I was stopped as he pulled keys from his pocket. Left pocket. Remember that Amanda.

The door swung open and he shoved me inside. Miles stood up from the corner, and hurried over to me. "You tried to escape." He said quitely. I nodded.

"Youre lucky. You just got a broken nose. They must like you." He said. I nodded. I expected to be punished in someway. He hugged me and we sunk down to the floor.
